My brother, you came to Nairaland to seek advise so please listen to the voice of warning. DO NOT BUY ANY CAR YET. If I see you face to face and tell you my life and journey with cars you would change your mind. Note that the cheaper the car the more expensive to maintain. That's how it is. I once owned a ford scopio and everyday I will end up at the mechanic. That was my first car and it made me hate cars. When I wanted to sell it nobody agreed to buy. It took a very long time before sold at a give-away-price. It wasn't until I bought Toyota 4 runner jeep that I began to enjoy cars. I used the Toyota jeep for 2 good years without going to mechanics for any issues other than changing my oils. When I sold it I got half the purchase price quick. Summary: A friend of mine who is a car dealer told me that cars don't cost anything to maintain as long as it's priced from N3million upwards. If you buy any car from this range you would have no business with mechanic for 3 years as long as you avoid accident. This does not mean you can't or shouldn't buy cheaper cars but cheaper cars will cost you more money to maintain. |
@post. To be able to achieve crime solving level as shown on crime channel we need to have a national finger-print database and a national I.D Card scheme linked to it, plus a vibrant police force and detectives trained in forensic science. Effective crime solving wouldn't be possible without the above |
@ilugunboy. It's a pity there still remain people like you in this forum who's only interest borders on ethnicity. Are there no other ethnic groups comiting crime in Nigeria?. |
@post. The gap between the U.S and Nigeria is huge so I don't even know where to begin to counter your arguement. If you are in contact with Pres. Jonathan please tell him to provide ELECTRICITY to Nigerians. We cannot begin to develope economically unless electricity is guaranted for industries and the populace. |
Different versions of same story. Is this another Y'ardua saga?. |
This is more reason I now believe there's a very selfish criminal motive hiding behind the N5,000 policy. Why is Mr. Sanusi desparate to print N5,000 note against all odds?? |
I thought Sanusi Lamido was intelligent until I heard this N5,000 news. Nigerians be advised Sanusi is an amateur economist, he don't even know what he's doing. We all know if you are highly placed you can head any office in Nigeria. And that's how the man got there. He don't know anything!. He is just doing copy and paste policy from what he observe from other countries without any thought whether it would work in Nigeria or not. That man needs to be questioned his real intention for introducing N5,000. The more I think about it the more it appears to me there must be a criminal idea behind this policy. Why making it easier to carry huge cash when you told us Nigeria is going cashless?. |
I've already concluded there's nothing like international justice unless Bush & Blair get prosecuted for their crimes in Iraq. |
It is better to print N1 million note at once. It will make it easier for Nigerians to carry cash. |
Finally, here come the Anti-Christ!!. A Nigerian!!!!! |
I also noticed there are groups trading semantics for this site. Their job is basically to keep poping up stories here and there and prolonging threads unecessarily. Talk about being desparate to increase ads revenue. How about that? |

This is simple English. By saying South Africa is our big brother the minister is not implying South Africa is our senior. This is just a diplomatic gesture meaning more like saying a partner. If Ghana delegation arrive Nigeria today he can also say Ghana is our big brother. And if he travels to South Africa the same may be said of Nigeria over there. It's no big deal. |
If the reason is to enable Nigerians carry cash easily, why not print N10million note, N5million note, and N1million note?. Then, convert N1,000,N500,N200,N100 to coins. This will definitely be better as it will encourage easy cash carrying. |
@justwise. I wasn't talking to you. I told you already you don't argue sensibly '''atimes''. It appears to me you may be part of the site team only interested in trading semantics in order to increase your adsense impression and monthly adsense revenue instead of arguing reasonably. |
@TimAllen. Yes, you're right!. It's called neo-colonialism. Unfortunately, most Africans remains in mental slavery and will quickly see the U.S move as a blessing not knowing the U.S is only taking advantage of us. |
@solomon111 Don't mind that yeye guy. As far as he's concerned everything western is good, and everything Nigeria is bad. |
@justwise. It's unfortunate you're a novice to U.S foreign policy. You are taking their gesture at face-value. Meanwhile, let's not quarrel over it. Let it be. |
@justwise. You often argue blindly. Otherwise, you've known by processing visas ''faster'' they simply want as much people as possible fast into the U.S. What do you think would be the effect if they say the opposite?. Would you have more people in the U.S fast?. My brother they are deparate!. Again, unfortunately, many of us don't know it. |
@AjanleKoko The idea is to lure those countries into the U.S. That's why they have to make it easier for applicants to obtain entrance visas. As I said earlier it's unfortunate most of us don't know it. |
A country as big as Nigeria need a state police. As someone argued above it must not be under the control of governors. Are there no examples of countries with state police?. Is Nigeria doing better security-wise than them?. |
