BusinessRe: Another Management Change In Easy Taxi – What Next For The Popular Brand? by mrsage(m): 11:14pm On Feb 06, 2016
Easy taxi. I wish them all the best.

In my opinion, those taxi hailing companies are over rated.

As a cab service operator, I've come to realise that those guys don't offer anything special. Therefore any slight change in the industry will have a huge impact.

Though they are my competitors, I wish them all the best. It's a huge market big enough for everyone.

BusinessRe: Detailed Guide: How To Register As An Uber Driver in Lagos by mrsage(m): 11:37pm On Feb 04, 2016
Uber is highly overrated in my opinion. You can set up your Cab Service business and get clients regularly without them.

Too many people jumping on the uber platform these days. Very soon they will have more cars than they need.

Again uber cab prices are too low. Good for uber and customers but not good for the car owners /investor. Remember as a car owner you handle repairs and maintenance.

Airport cab guys charge better than uber. (Murtala Muhammed Int'l Airport Lagos to be specific). That means more profit margins.

My humble submission : join the uber platform if you are a novice in transport business. They flood you with customers since you don't know how to get them.

Also join uber if you have a day time job and you take it as a side business.

When you gain experience and you are ready to play in the game called Cab Service. You will ditch them fast.

Warning : N250,000 monthly is not guaranteed. It is more of a marketing slogan.

11. Transportation business: This business is a hit. Do you know how much danfo drivers make in the busy roads of lagos per day? Well it quite a lot.
You could even step up your business by registering a nice ride at airport roads to transport travellers to their abode. I heard it pays well.
Good. The challenge is that well educated people do not want to venture into transportation. It is really a gold mine.
I'm into car hire business so I fully understand. Every day I discover new opportunities in transport.

DealFinder:
While preparing my next post for this thread, I got a mail from Dealdey on one of my accounts. The contents of the mail is regrettably disheartening

The implication is that those who had their orders delivered in January would get the proceeds of the sales not less than 5 weeks from when the product was delivered to the buyer.

" We are having some technical challenges with our Payment Reconciliation Platforms and we want to assure you that we are working tirelessly to resolve these issues.

Currently, all payments are manually managed and this has led to the delay and backlog in our processing time.

Complete restoration of automated payments would be effected from 29-02-2016 and normal payment cycles should commence."

Nevertheless, I'm obligated to complete this thread. But wanna serve a Caveat here that dealings with Dealdey should be based on your own discretion.

As for me, I've concluded plans on a more reliable solution.
Hello sir. We are still waiting for you to share the information in line with the topic of this thread.

Delay may send the wrong signal. Do you need 7 days to share information you already know?

Thank you. I will go for the penny stocks. Strictly long term.

certainly yes. there is no level playing ground between colleagues in the developed countries and the third tier countries. i saw an 18 year old purchase a site well over $5000 on flippa. it's unspeakable in the Nigerian setting
Trust me. This is not enough to draw a conclusion. Just one case can be regarded as an isolated case.

i need idea, want to purchase a small cab to be used for transportation to run within Lagos state, what are the requirement to succeed in the transportation business. i will like to get a driver that will be giving me weekly turnups.
Can someone brief me on the amount the driver will likely be submitting at the end of the week. note: His root will be from Ajah to Epe
Why not go For Hire purchase?
In transport returns vary based on the route.

All you have to do is to speak with a driver or agbero along that route. They will surely tell you the returns.

One of the reasons for failure in transport business is poor management and delegation of duty. A vehicle owner / investor will buy and hand it over to an untested driver.
Then rely on luck or good wishes.
It is a recipe for disaster.

If you wish to invest in transport make sure you are available to manage your investment.

If possible don't allow your drivers handle cash and if you can't avoid it have some proper agreement.

Prepared by a lawyer, signed in a police station, barracks or shrine with all parties present. Also driver must provide 2 guarantors.
Carry out background checks if possible to his native land.

Never allow any man a chance to mess with your hard earned money.

BusinessRe: How Much Does Taxi Drivers Make ?? by mrsage(m): 5:46pm On Jan 25, 2016
Addicted2Women:
I wanna know how much Taxi drivers make per day or weekly.
I'm planning on buying two cars and giving them out to taxi drivers.
Bros, I'm into car and bus hire business. Transportation is very viable but also technical.
You need to understand the game.

First, if you choose to hand over your cars to anyone make sure it's on hire purchase.

Also sign a proper agreement prepared by a lawyer in a police station or barracks. Make sure the intending driver provides two guarantors.

Option 2. Don't hand your cars over to any driver. Employ your driver and pay him commissions plus maybe a small allowance.
Now you will do your publicity and clients will call you to book a cab. Then you send your driver to do the job. With this you can monitor your finances. And driver.

You can also considered bus hire service. You may buy a Toyota hiace bus aka hummer bus.
Neat and unbranded then people hire it for travelling and trips. I do this and it's very viable.
You can monitor the cash flow too and your driver.

Finally to answer your question. Earnings vary but from the little I know its N3,000 daily minimum. And sometimes. Sometimes earnings could be as high as N7,000 daily.
We earn more when we take clients outside Lagos or when we travel with clients or when we have people from abroad use our service for a couple of days.
