Afam4eva: Ask the Chinese and the Americans why they're selling themselves through any means possible. Also ask jamaicans how thy've managed to sell Ragae to the whole world. Africa cannot be left behind. Our culture and tradition has to be evang elized throughout the world and no one will do it if not Africans themselves. The gains are massive.
Marketing sounds more substantive then selling...I digress on that.

Africa must be doing very well in marketing their resources and assets if hundreds all over the world tiptoe daily to every corners of Africa. Unfortunately, it is not always the "legal" tiptoe but nevertheless all eyes are on Africa. The kufi, sarongs, and accents aren't the reasons why all eyes being on Africa.

So again...who determines duties and responsibilities for millions inhabitants of Africa? Certainly not you.

MsDarkSkin: If your dumb azz knew the history of Judaism you wouldn't come on here
embarrassing yourself YET again.

Judaism did not make it's first appearance out side of Africa until the Jews migrated from Egypt, Ode Oshi! Jerusalem was viewed as their promise land or safe haven from their Egyptian slave masters. (MOSES ANYONE?) The reason they are still @ war with the Palestinians is because they ventured into Palestinian territory...Now if Judaism is NATIVE to the peninsula WHY did they have to migrate? and form WHERE? grin grin FO0l.

Myself and another member engaged in a debate about it which he brought up the fact that genetics show their is a relationship between the Arabs of the Arab peninsula, Jews and present day East Africans. They not only mixed genetically but also culturally. The same way they brought Islam INTO Africa, is the same way their "mutts" brought Judaism into the middle east. (ETHIOPIANS ANYONE?)

The difference is that the migration to Jerusalem was PRIOR to the introduction of Islam. We know this being that Islam came from Judaism with the belief that Muhammad is the last prophet of God. I say Islam is an Arab invention because it was formed in that area UNLIKE Judaism.

But the point is their beliefs and culture was formed in eastern africa. The polytheistic Egyptians did not appreciate their monotheistic beliefs which led them to be oppressed and outcast.
er!

Afam4eva: You're right. But as Africans it's our duty to sell ourselves to the outside world and this does not just apply to those outside Africa. Nigerians in Ghana and Cameroon should also represent where they come from. Igbos in Kaduna or Ibadan should also represent where they come from.
But why ARE YOU SELLING YOURSELF? Once people know that you are from wherever...WILL IT CHANGE YOUR DESTINY OR FATE?

Who determines duties and responsibilities?

This thread went from White Folks' Wear to White Folks' Religion.

To Afameva...that is like saying Africans who lives in other countries outside of Africa aren't representing their countries.

No one determine who YOU ARE but YOU. It has nothing to do with clothing, speech, food, and etc. Just because a person wear a kufi doesn't make them an African. Let be real.

bokohalal: No. Not at all. Was actually having a laugh but felt I had to reply a seeming insult as an Edoman. You generalized based on the one or two Edomen you know.
OP's husband could be any man not just Edo,Black or Yellow.
It's an opinion...don't take it personal.

Jenams: @ifeadokola, let me tell u d truth, if u've known him for solid three years and he's nt asked for ANYTIN, I mean anytin. Then u've found urself a husband, as no scam artist will be dat patient. But u hav to be careful all d same
Just because someone doesn't ask for money doesn't mean they are not potential scammers. Whose to say he didn't asked for money? Not everyone is honest.
