he was mad because I PAID FOR OUR DINNER!!  called me all sorts of names, and even threatened me on the way home because @ the table when the lady brought us our tabs i pulled out my card in preparation to pay the bill when he (who didn't have a cent because it really wasn't even planned) nudged my foot under the table and asked me if i had cash on me. i replied "yes" he then said "give it to me". so i'm like 'why?'. According to him "African men don't ask women for anything and how would it look if we are at an elegant restaurant and a woman is paying for an African man?" I told him "this isn't Liberia" that he should be grateful and paid the bill. We left, got in the car and it was on!! next thing i know we are arguing and have not spoken to each other in two weeks.

Good riddance!!  I refuse to put up with that mentality. Such men finally get women who are not gold diggers and can do for their own yet they treat them with so much test0sterone filled aggression? seriously.

Moments later black women were eligible for benefits and often time put their husbands out to survive hence the birth of Black Matriarch households.  Black families have been dissolving since 1930's and many have betrayed their own to climb the corporate ladder sound like slavery era repeating itself.  It has nothing to do with black women copping attitudes nor putting down black men.  Social and political manipulations are responsible and to this day women who are "single" in America get more incentives than married women.

Black women put up with far more than any other race of women but yet get labeled as Niggerbiatches.  WTF. 

I have once told many Nigerian women that I was impressed with their high level of tolerance because in America many of these men wouldn't stand a chance.  Real Talk.

PSYCHOLOGICALLY these men were defeated by the American way and seeing that their wives, some of whom already were being wooed in by material things with a bit of deviousness in them, came to the states and switched, they wrongfully decided to take their lives. I know enough about Nigerian culture to know most of these men more than likely painted themselves to be "the one" or her "knight in shining armor" to her parents/family, maybe even "gave her the world" and a bag full of promises and then once she comes to the states and realize she can also be independent they become fearful that they would no longer be "the man".

i see a lot of men on here making jokes (some obviously serious about it) claiming nigerian women to be "blackberry hungry, brazilian weave wearing, and ungrateful" but my question is even it it were true why do you think that is? Keep blaming America oo. lol Period, point blank!! if they are promised goods and given goods who is to blame for their wanting more and doing even the most outrageous of things to get more? even if it means having "more than one man" (back at home or abroad) to get what they want? If i were one of those spiteful women back at home do you think i would change if i was given a chance to go to the states on top of knowing i could call the cops on and / or divorce you and get HALF?!!
