Who saw this question in the recent physics? Is the question complete? I think WAEC are losing it gradually, how on earth will they make this kind of mistake? Question 28. The lenght of the wire on right side of the bridge wasnt lablelled nor mentioned in the question and they want the candidates to find x
The answer to that question is 50cm or 0.5m
2•X=2(100-x)
2x=200-2x
4x=200
X=50cm
It is obvious because the resistance is same so it will balance at the center of the meter rule,
I am afraid of what they are going to provide as their marking guide.
WAEC SHOULD MAKE ITS MAKING GUIDE PUBLIC
that should be the cry now because we no longer trust them

many students have asked this question, in waec and jamb, what if the answer is not in the option what should i do? i always reasure them to trust the exam body the will be the correct answer in the option, but now i think they will start asking a new question, like what if weac don't know the correct answer?, and many more, this call for serious concern, now i will no longer defend them again,

The person that prepare that multiple choice test did a nice work, but it was unfortunate that the physics WAEC department failed the test, or were too negligent

thats how they test durlard like you, it was for example, it doesn't really the option choose is correct, they just showed you how to shade ur answer, now you wan show us you sabi physics. We don see you now
You are annoying,
Possibly you don't know what a standardized tests is, show me another illustration in other paper that the answer is not accurate, then I will believe your assumption
Education › Re: WAEC failed WAEC , How WAEC Fail Student Unjustly (pic ongoing 2019 WASSCE) by Mrshape(op): 7:43am On May 10, 2019
PuntHunt:
WAEC does that for illustration purposes where the main emphasis is on how to shade correctly and not whether they gave the correct answer to the sample or illustration question(s).

Have you thought why they still included the correct option (after you have worked) in the options? It means they know the answer and that's why it is there.
Keep defending them how come this is the only paper that the illustration is wrong,
Also check same paper for the diagram potentiometer question, they still did it for illustration abi,or you will say it is typo error.

Hmmm
The question they decided to answer they fail everything,
Mine while they were the one that set the question o,
Maybe students will have to set their own questions provide answers and prove their answers
it is obviously No typo error,
They even made a sentence with their answer

I got C too. They made a mistake.
Confident mistake in multiple choice for that matter,
They reinforced the affirmation and veracity of their erroneous perspective.

I need someone to tell me I miss something,
WEAC is not an individual, if they can be negligent as this then
How are we sure they are not lots of mistakes in the answer they program to mark the OMR sheet.
Let me stop here for now.
Education › WAEC failed WAEC , How WAEC Fail Student Unjustly (pic ongoing 2019 WASSCE) by Mrshape(op):
Is this how Waec fail student unjustly ?
Or am I the one missing something the answer is C,
Don't tell me WAEC failed WASSCE

@Richiez @olawalebabs @Fynestboi

We no longer trust WAEC they should make their marking guide public.

That dimension can only be angle, angle is the only parameter that has a constant value between does two lines, if the separation were to be length it will have range of value from 0 to the length of the width
I will start posting questions on dimensioning henceforth

EA = AD = x

Diagonal = semicircle diameter = √(x²+x²) = x√2

Radius of semicircle = x√2/2

Now AF² = x² -(x√2/2)²

AF² = x² - 2x²/4 = x²/2

AF = x/√2

But AF + FG = 14√2
x/√2 + x√2/2 = 14√2
2x +2x = 4*14
x = 14
R of semi circle = x√2/2 = 7√2
r of the circle = 7√2/2

Area of the green region = Area of the semicircle - Area of the circle

π (7√2)²/2 - π (7√2/2)²

π(98/2 - 98/4) = π 98/4 = 22/7 * 98/4 = 77 units²

Maths tutors/lecturers or professors have to be patient with does who are willing to learn,
You are their teacher because you learnt it first not because you are more intelligent.
Let's try this out I will bring solution tomorrow.
Hmmm
Everywhere Green.

Education › Re: This Is Treasure Hunt (mr Shape) by Mrshape(op): 12:00pm On May 05, 2019
femi4:
This should do it

A rectangle is formed at the centre by merging the two squares.

So if x is the length of the square
L of the rectangle = 2x
b of the rectangle = length of the square = x
Diagonal = x√5

Now
4² + 4² = (4+ x√5)²

32 = (4+x√5)²
4+x√5 = 4√2
x = (4√2 - 4)/√5
Area of the square = x² = (4√2 - 4 )²/5 = 0.5490unit²
From your diagram the diagonal of the right angle must not always pass through both centers of the circles the vartices are touching,
That's were you got it wrong sir.

Darivie04:
Can you explain some of the intuition and reasoning behind the solution in words?
Divide the Shape into two parts by drawing a symmetrical line as shown in the diagram.
Since the square is between two circles it is obvious the line will divide the square into a rectangle of top lenght 1/2(lenght of square and the other side of the rectangle will be also equal to the square lenght because it was not divided
Next form a right angled triangle by projecting a vertical line from the vartice of the rectangle to interseect at right angle with an horizontal line draw from the center of the circle.
Note the vertical line will (radius (2)-lenght of square)
The horizontal line will be (radius(2) -1/2 lenght of the square)
And the hypotenuse is =radius (2)
Since the vertical and horizontal line must intersect at right angle
(2-0.5x)^2+(2-x)^2=2^2.
The rest are algebra......
