Don't worry about what she wrote because if the health worker enter any household to vaccinate, either he or she vaccinate or not, they must write something. If the children were vaccinated by the new health workers today, they are going to clean the write up and write NEW one. Don't be afraid of anything, you are doing the right thing by informing the parents first before allowing their children to be vaccinated. Because if you don't inform the parents and anything happen to their children, I don't need to tell you what will happen to the school. It's just a communication gap that is the problem here.

I also own a school. We have a school policy and the section of Health is well detailed. Some parents allows it while some don't. So whenever the govt health officials come, we already know students who will get vaccinatted cos it was already documented during enrolment of the child.

That's good we will employ this method.
But thoes that don't I think they can change their perception as times goes on, so the data should be taking regularly.

The health workers altitude showed something is wrong somewhere because to the best of my knowledge as WHO IM, If you visit a household and you see eligible children, you have to see the parents first and if they are not around, you have to come back. This is because if you give them the vaccine and something unusual happened to them, you will be held responsible. Even in our documents, there is a provision for Non-compliance (Rx). In this case, we will have a heart to heart talk with them on the benefits of the vaccine and if after that they insist that their children will not take it, then will back off as simple as that.

Your reaction is in order, health officers don't barge into schools like that, they give notice days before and the proprietor of the school must give consent. Same thing happened in my children's school, parents were called and told that health workers are coming on a particular day to do immunization if we consent to our children recieving the vaccine, in my own case I bluntly refused cause my children have already been given that shot. The so called health worker that came to your school throw ing thantrom might have ulterior motive.

We only told her to eñable us contact our parents first.

Besides her behavior was suspicious, health workers are not rude people they are supposed to be trained

They usually come with a notice about three days before the actual vaccination.

The process is not compulsory. Some had already done it in church or even at home so parents' consent must be sought first. Else, you people might have a case in your hand

Some health workers came to my school and started disturbing the peace of the school because we told her we will contact the parents and seek their consent before they can vaccinate the children, she started shouting they will close down the school, this that, torn the visitors book, we have to tell her to go. We contacted our parents some refused most said we go ahead then told the local health center to come and vaccinate the children tommorow.
