Crime / How Bank Account & Social Media Handle Verification May Reduce Yahoo Yahoo by Mrshape: 8:22pm On Jun 24, 2023
Introducing verification of individual social media accounts with a connection to bank accounts can indeed have several benefits in reducing internet fraud, such as the activities commonly associated with Yahoo Yahoo boys. Here are several reasons and explanations for implementing such a system:

Enhanced Accountability: Verifying social media accounts with bank accounts adds an additional layer of accountability. By connecting their online presence to their financial identity, individuals are less likely to engage in fraudulent activities as they can be easily traced back to their real-world identities.

Deterrent for Fraudsters: Requiring verification of social media accounts with bank accounts acts as a deterrent for potential fraudsters. The knowledge that their online activities can be directly linked to their personal finances may discourage them from participating in fraudulent schemes.

Digital Footprint Tracking: Connecting social media accounts to bank accounts enables authorities to track an individual's digital footprint more effectively. This can help identify suspicious patterns of behavior, such as sudden increases in wealth or financial transactions linked to illicit activities.

Improved Investigations: Verification of social media accounts with bank accounts provides law enforcement agencies with valuable information when conducting investigations. It enables them to establish a clear connection between an individual's online activities and their financial transactions, making it easier to build a case against fraudsters.

Reducing Impersonation: Verifying social media accounts with bank accounts helps to reduce impersonation cases. It adds an additional barrier for individuals attempting to create fake accounts or pretend to be someone they are not, as they would need to provide valid bank account information.

Protecting Online Users: Implementing a verification system helps protect the general online population. By reducing the number of fraudulent accounts and limiting the ability of fraudsters to operate anonymously, individuals are less likely to fall victim to scams or other malicious activities.

Strengthening Trust: Verification of social media accounts with bank accounts can enhance trust within the online community. Users will have more confidence in engaging with verified individuals, knowing that their identities and financial information have been validated.

Safeguarding Financial Institutions: Requiring verification can also protect financial institutions from potential liability. By establishing a clear connection between social media accounts and bank accounts, institutions can mitigate the risk of unwittingly facilitating fraudulent transactions.

Minimizing Money Laundering: Verification of social media accounts with bank accounts can contribute to the fight against money laundering. It becomes more difficult for criminals to obscure the origin of funds when their social media activities are linked to their bank accounts, making it easier for financial institutions to identify suspicious transactions.

Promoting Responsible Online Behavior: Requiring verification encourages responsible behavior in online interactions. Users are more likely to think twice before engaging in fraudulent activities or spreading false information if they know their actions can be directly linked to their real-world identity and financial accounts.

It's worth noting that implementing such a system would require careful consideration of privacy concerns, data security, and potential challenges associated with implementing and maintaining the verification process effectively.

Least I forget
Verifying Social Media and Bank Accounts Reveal True Identities, Farewell to Fancy Names"

the introduction of verification processes linking social media and bank accounts can impact the use of pseudonyms or fancy names, particularly among female users. It emphasizes that the verification system necessitates the use of real names, leaving behind the era of online anonymity. By connecting individuals' true identities to their online presence, the verification process enhances accountability and helps reduce fraudulent activities associated with fake personas or impersonation
Education / Why It Is Good For JAMB To The Use Of Mobile Phones Or BYOD In taking UTME by Mrshape: 4:10pm On Jun 24, 2023
The suggestion to introduce the use of mobile phones in taking examinations instead of relying solely on computers can be supported for several reasons. One of the main reasons is the limited availability of computer facilities, which often leads to scheduling conflicts and different test dates for students. This poses a challenge because each test date may have a different set of questions, potentially creating an unfair testing environment.

Ideally, standardized tests like the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) should aim to provide a universal set of questions to ensure equal opportunity for all students. By allowing the use of mobile phones during exams, students can take the test simultaneously, regardless of their location or access to computer facilities. This would enable the administration to distribute the same set of questions to all candidates, creating a fairer testing environment.

To address concerns about security and cheating, strict monitoring measures can be implemented. Monitoring cameras can be installed in exam halls to ensure compliance with exam rules. Instead of allocating funds for computer facilities, resources can be redirected towards employing personnel from various security agencies or organizations to oversee the examination process and maintain integrity.

By incorporating mobile phones into the examination system, the chances of system failure now depends on the students and mobile phone is less likely to develop unexpected breakdown compared to computers provided by business minded people, failure could potentially be minimized. However, it is crucial to develop an application or platform specifically designed for the examination, which restricts access to any other apps or functionalities on the device during the designated exam time. This would ensure that only the authorized application is accessible for assessment purposes.

The cost of the examination can also be reduced.

Examination result can be released immediately after the examination.

Seating arrangement separating those that have similar subject combination can also reduce malpractice.

In summary, introducing the use of mobile phones in examinations can lead to a more efficient and standardized testing process, offering equal opportunities to all students, reduce cost of examination and reduce examination result time. By implementing strict monitoring measures and developing a dedicated examination application and setting arrangementsthe concerns regarding malpractice and unauthorized use of the devices can be effectively addressed.

The AI can teach you, then you teach your students. But first you have to learn it. You can't give what you don't have.
The AI can teach you rubbish in some questions, the bad thing about it is that a novice will not know if it is wrong, it takes a professional to detect error in AI calculation.
Textbook is better for learning with less error because it has being reviewed by many before published,

One thing with learning mathematics is that make sure you learn with error free material unless you will end up learning rubbish.
I am going to publish some errors in chat Gbt in mathematical computations, to prove that it can't be trusted by novice but can be very helpful to professionals in their field because they can detect errors using besic principles that guild the subject matter

you've a point but you didn't have to be all knowing about his future when there's room for improvement
What I mean is that even some maths teachers that can teach mathematics more than average can't use chat Gbt, let alone someone that says he is clearly not good in it,
Fine he can improve let him get a mentor I have a lot of mathematics teachers I mentor, when they run into problem they visit me before they go to class,
Let him find a mentor close by if he can't let he teach what he is good at, unless the students are very bad in mathematics if not they will frustrate his effort or he will end up puting wrong knowledge in them, and it is better for a child not to have learnt anything in mathematics than for him to learn and master wrong approach, because for you to unlearn wrong mathemaical concept from children is very difficult.

?
Who say anything about cramming.
I said chat Gbt will not help him to teach when he don't have good Mathematics mastering,
Besides let him get a mentor if he want to learn on the job,

But it would've been an interesting test of hypothesis as to wether or nor conversational learning is sustainable & the impacts it has on humans. Cos come to think of it, even with the generated answers there's a lot for you to learn as you can ask it to explain its answers thereby opening up your below par maths skills. Try, if it doesn't work, quit. Just curious 😏
I have experimented it,
It sometimes gives wrong answers and if you are not good in that aspect of mathematics you will not know, hence sending wrong Information to the children.
And someone that can't solve mathematics can't command chat Gbt correctly because it is the command you give it that is what it will process,

And again what chat GPT will give you is solution and steps ( that is if it is able to interpret your command correctly)
So what the need when textbook has the solution and step in text.

I don't mean chat Gbt is not intelligent no,
If you give it a clear command you will get an accurate answer of high degree,

This thing here does not answer the question.
It answers the question more than 90%.
Archimedes principle and the law of floatation is the reason why things float on water, then the shape and construction of the base and density of the liquid can also be considered.
But in all Archimedes principle and law of flotation is the answer to the question he asked.
That chain you see there is just to prevent it from floating away

Is she a student of the school?
Education / Why A Mathematician Is Preferred To Someone Who Studied Banking For Bank Job by Mrshape: 6:58am On Mar 31, 2023
There are several reasons why a mathematician might be employed in a bank job rather than someone who studied banking:

Analytical Skills: A mathematician is trained in logical and analytical thinking, which is an essential skill in the banking industry. Banks deal with large amounts of data and complex financial models, which require a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

Quantitative Analysis: Mathematics is the foundation of quantitative analysis, which is used extensively in banking. A mathematician's expertise in statistics, probability theory, and numerical analysis can help banks make informed decisions about investments, risk management, and other financial activities.

Innovation: A mathematician's approach to problem-solving can bring a fresh perspective to the banking industry. They are trained to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.

Transferable Skills: The skills learned in a mathematics degree are transferable to many different fields, including banking. Mathematicians are known for their ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations, making them a valuable asset in any industry.

Overall, a mathematician's skills and expertise can be highly beneficial to the banking industry, especially when it comes to complex financial modeling, risk management, and innovative problem-solving

Education / Why You Don't Need PTA In Private School, Do You Agree? by Mrshape: 6:48am On Mar 31, 2023
PTA meetings can be time-consuming and take away from important educational activities.

Personal interests and agendas can take precedence over the best interests of the school and students.

PTA involvement can create conflicts between parents and teachers.

The decision-making process can be slowed down by PTA involvement.

PTA involvement can interfere with the autonomy of school administration.

PTA involvement can cause unnecessary bureaucracy and red tape.

PTA involvement can cause division among parents and teachers.

PTA meetings may not be productive or result in effective solutions.

The PTA may not represent the views and needs of all parents and teachers.

Alternatives to a PTA may better serve the needs of the school and community
Education / Why Stoping hijab JAMB Student From Taking Exam In Covenant University Is Wrong by Mrshape: 6:38am On Mar 31, 2023
Upon seeing their post, I initially thought that she was a student of the school who was about to take their exam. I questioned why someone would enroll in a sectarian school if they knew they could not comply with the rules. However, after realizing it was a JAMB mock exam, I concluded that the individuals were not only mistaken but also bullies. In my opinion, if it were a Muslim lecturer from another university taking a professional exam at the center, would they ask her to remove her hijab? Or if a politician's wife visited the university, would they ask her to remove her hijab? Or if some Muslim students came to compete with other school students at Covenant University as the center for the competition, would they ask the students wearing hijabs to remove them? This girl is a visitor, not a student of the school. She is a JAMB student who follows the rules set by JAMB. I was taken aback by the comments I saw on the post's front page and it made me wonder if these people were aware that the girl was a visitor taking the JAMB exam and not a student of the school.
Or there is something the media is not reporting? this can't be the complete story .

Education / Re: A Bill That Senior Secondary Teachers Should Take JAMB UTME Each Year, With 75% by Mrshape: 9:50pm On Mar 28, 2023
DeTribalisedCit:
I'm sorry to say but you're thinking in black and white.

A teacher is meant to have mastery of his subject; that is a given. But there is more to being a teacher than scoring 100% in an Exam.

Make no mistake, I'm not a dull person, I finished 2nd place in 2021 Lagos State NAPPS Teachers competition, which tests you in 3 - 4 different subjects. And I have in-depth knowledge in a number of subject, including Mathematics which I have a degree in. However, the purpose of learning isn't to show off.

However, the job is not to be a student, your job is to be a teacher. Students need to understand that it's okay to fail; at least they've learnt a way not to do what it is that they failed. It's okay to not be perfect; no one really is. It's necessary to keep improving and maintains growth mindset; there's always time to do better. The greater job is motivating students to believe in themselves; it shouldn't be about you; it's them first. How can you make them learn and build their confidence?
A teacher having 75% is the seeking for perfection? Is that too much?
If you are giving waec maths question you mean you can't get 38 out of 50 Questions correctly?
If failing 12 questions is not a room for mistakes for a teacher, then failing 36questions won't be bad for a student, you people don't know the extent of damage of the system.

This comparison is just dead.

Typewriter is an invention, not a Governmental policy.

At the advent of new inventions, especially Science & Technology, people will grumble before they eventually adapt to it. This situation varies, according to geographical location.

Now, you can't expect people in an underdeveloped country to easily adapt to a new policy, when they're still hustling for their daily bread.
They'll rather port to where they'll see quick cash, than saddle themselves with unprofitable work regulations.

They can still work around to adapt to new inventions. 5G is a good example of this.
If teachers are not confident to students exam then they should not be seen close to where WAEC SSCE ANDGCE script are marked.
