NEWSBuhari has disappointed Nigerians – Arewa Youth Forum Published on October 8, 2017 By Amos Tauna

Arewa Youth Forum, AYF, has lamented that President Muhammadu Buhari and his team has performed below Nigerians’ expectations.

AYF National president, Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu in a statement in Kaduna on Sunday said, “The youths also called for cabinet reshuffle as they posited that those that were expected to assist the President in his change agenda has failed in the discharge of their duties.”

“A situation where majority of Nigerians languish in object poverty and penury, where people can no longer eat two times a day not to talk about three square meals a day is a worrisome development and a cause for concern for us and we believe should be for all well meaning Nigerians.

“Time for change is now before it is too late; the alarming situation, however, is that there seems not to be any concrete or genuine solutions coming from government and its agencies on how to ameliorate the present quagmire that is threatening to take the country to the precipice.”

“It is because of this we are calling on the President to immediately undertake a cabinet reshuffle and bring in capable Nigerians who can assist him in changing the present status quo.

“As an organization with affiliates across the 19 Northern states and Abuja and as working stakeholders across the whole country, there is a concensus that the ship of state is in dire strain. The bottom line is that Nigerians standard of living is at one of its lowest ebb in history and as a government that campaigned on the mantra of change, the time to change things cannot be better than now.

“As the umbrella organization of all youths in the north and committed to the wellbeing of Nigerian youths as a whole, we are worried about the prevailing situation in the country.

“But instead of solutions, we are daily inundated with news on alleged graft, in house fighting and at other times mundane issues from this government that was given so much by Nigerian people who are yet to see the fruit of their sacrifice and battle to root out the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) that failed to live up to the expectations of the people after 16 years in power.

“While we are not unaware of the rot and desolate situation that the All Progressives Congress, (APC) and its main flagbearer President Muhammadu Buhari met on ground, we also make bold to say that we, nay Nigerians expected better performance from the PMB led administration more than two years in the saddle.

“Let the President and his co travellers know that majority of Nigerians were in unison that the PDP failed, even your party APC know that fact and we believe that is why they came with the change mantra.

“But alas, two years down the road, many things have refused to change and instead the downward slope from the previous administration that Nigerians so much abhor and voted massively against and in favor of the APC and many others for President Buhari as an individual.

“The sluggishness of this administration in tackling some salient issues of governance has left so much to be desired. Up till now, Nigerians are still waiting for report of the Osinbajo committee that investigated the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF) and Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA) boss; government has continued to keep mute.

“The recent allegation by the Minister of state, Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu against the GMD of NNPC, Maikanti Baru is trending and government has not deemed it necessary to speak to Nigerians on the matter. This is a sour point for this administration and President Muhammadu Buhari who many had so much faith in.

“Consequently, after an overview of the polity and the present predicament of the populace, we want President Muhammadu Buhari to know that his cherished reputation and integrity which was a major factor in the victory of the APC in the 2015 general elections is gradually being eroded.

“This is because his government is not coordinated and majority of Nigerians who hitherto believed so much in him are suffering more than ever before.”

On another note. For the whole north to speak against their own something might be fishy. Could it be that this is a ploy or reason to oust the rumoured fake buhari as his contract with cabals ends 2019 so as to replace him with someone real.

TV/Movies › Re: TSTV Decoder: 6 Reasons Why Many People Would Obtain It by MrSly(m): 8:47am On Oct 07, 2017
bongolistik:
It is no longer news that a new Pay TV provider TSTV is in town and loads of people can't wait to start using TSTV in their homes.

But have you for once asked yourself on why so many people are eagerly waiting to obtain a TSTV decoder for themselves?

Well the fact is that, these are the 6 major reasons why many people can't wait to buy TSTV decoder

1. WiFi Internet Access – the top in the list of reasons on why many Nigerians would acquire the TSTV decoder is because of the Value Added internet access that TSTV is promising. Many Nigerians are not happy with the type of internet services that they are currently getting from the major GSM operators in the country. They consider the internet services from those GSM operators as poor, inefficient and most of all expensive, hence they will be quick to key into TSTV alternative.

2. Cost Effective – Many Nigerians see the product and services that TSTV are promising as very cheap, especially when compared with the cost of other similar Pay TV service providers in the country. With N5000 for the complete set of TSTV decoder and N3000 maximum monthly subscription, many would liken it as just a price for a box of pizza for the decoder set and 3 pieces of shawarma for the monthly subscription.

3. Indigenous – Ever since the clarion calls for the production, usage and promotion of locally manufactured goods and services in the country have thickened, coupled with the slogan "buy Naija to grow Naija" it might surprise you that many have indicated serious interest of acquiring TSTV decoder when it start selling just because TSTV is an indigenous pay TV provider.

4. Live EPL and La Liga matches – One of the common unifying factors in the country today is sport, and when it comes to sport entertainment, there is almost nothing that attracts loads of viewership especially on the part of the male folks in the country like the beaming of live English Premiership League (EPL) and Spanish league (La Liga) games in the front of their TV set. Many people would buy TSTSV just because TSTV promises to show live games from those foreign football leagues.

5. DSTV Service Charge – it might also surprise you that lots of folks out there are just tired of DSTV and they consider DSTV as being monopolistic on pay TV services in the country and also see DSTV monthly subscription costs as complete rip-off. Little wonder that it is just a handful of DSTV subscribers that watch DSTV Premium channels. Therefore, for many, anything that would reduce DSTV strength and monopoly in the pay TV business would be a welcome idea, thus many people can't wait to ditch their DSTV dish and replace it with a TSTV dish

6. New product with new concept – finally, the last but not really the least; as very common with Nigerians or simply say the Nigerian factor, there is nothing that is attractive to Nigerians as a new product in the market. Whenever new products are introduced into the Nigerian market, regardless of how the product and services would likely later turn out to become, there is always this initial rush, in similar manner that their ears would always stand at the sound of every launch event that introduce new smartphone into the market. Coupled with TSTV hybrid concept of watching TV at the same time surfing the internet, the idea is no doubt very attractive to many and thus getting a TSTV decoder set is a must for them.

I have dstv and use it and I am comfortable with their services. I will also buy tstv. As an economist I know the impact of healthy competition on average income earners. SO LET THE COMPETITION BEGIN.

There is this very young and beautiful married woman. She told me she is 28 years. She's been pregnant once. I assisted her brother get a small job lately. Before then, anytime i see her on the road, we greet. If she wanted to buy something, I'll pay with a clean heart and walk away. Ever since then, she's shown me her appreciation in words. Somehow we started talking on whatsapp lately. She gave me her number.

But now, she's telling me that she prefers keeping guys as friends. In fact she has offered to come and cook for me today but I told her I am not around. I was very open to her that her being so close might tempt me to touch her that it's better she stays far from me or we talk whenever we see on the road. I told her this to scare her away from coming close but it's not working.

She says that me telling her that will not make her be free but she still insists that she'd come to my house. She said she'd like to be free with me, jumping on my bed and playing around but she just likes me as a friend.

Is it wrong to be a close friend with a married woman?
Please guys what do you think?
Having read OP's replies to comments I can candidly say ' He is already into this woman emotionally. I know those feelings which initially seem harmless. In this state of mind it is only prayers that can save the OP advice to him remains a futile exercise.

itsdumebi:
The Nigerian presidency has replied former president Olusegun Obasanjo over his call on President Buhari to meet with the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday, the president's special adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina had this to say about Obasanjo's advice;

“It is an opinion that he has proffered and when you proffer an opinion, it is not a law or a rule”, he said.

“It is now left for the person who was given the advice to consider it.”

It will be recalled that Nnamdi Kanu has not been seen or heard from ever since the Nigerian military stormed his residence in Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia state. Findings by PoliticsNGR reveal that Kanu might still be in Abia state but in hiding.

Politics › Re: Love Letter From North Korea To Nigeria by MrSly(m): 10:00pm On Sep 16, 2017
jakD:
By Israel A. Ebije

If the exchanges on social media over a statement allegedly credited to the North Korean news service is anything to go by, then it must be addressed according to its nuisance value. The twitter handle representing the news medium of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK) Has accused “Nigerians” of mocking their leader Kim Jong-Un, insisting that further attacks on their leader’s personality will attract “heavy price”.
As we await the official response of the Korean Government, it is pertinent to tease out some issues, first would the DPRK be that foolish to call a sovereign state like Nigeria “impudent people” and in addition to that threaten to unleash “heavy price” on the country if we do not refrain from “mocking” their supreme leader? The twitter handle @DPRK-news is yet to make public how they arrived at a conclusive statistics that Nigerians “are mocking their exalted leader”. They are yet to let the world know the exact classification of what actually amounts to enemy action in the alleged war of words on social media.
If the twitter is not officially managed by the authoritarian government of Jong-Un, then it must be managed by an individual who believe so much in the capability of his or her country delivering “heavy Price” to a country of “impudent people” like Nigerians. Interestingly, no free speech is allowed in DPRK, meaning the twitter handler must have had the blessings of authority. Regardless of who is exuding the bad energy coming from Korea, it is pertinent to intimate that it is not a good signal, especially as the country is beginning to think itself beyond its actual worth in dosage of aggression instead of wealth of humanity.
Sadly, our minister of information, Alhaji lai Mohammed does not have any social media account. He is not on any cyber based conversation and may only know of this threat as a second hand information consumer otherwise he is expected to have reacted on behalf of government to address the impudence of the twitter handler over temerity of the DPRK government. The warning is awkward, barbaric and insulting. It lacks any energy of merit or basis of facts. Its only valid underscore is premised on the fact that DPRK is seeking desperately where to unleash their sting of poisonous weapon with what may appear like a worthy altercation.
We may recall that North Korea has conducted six (6) nuclear tests in 2006, 2009, twice in 2016 and 2017. According to their local media, the last test of hydrogen bomb was a “perfect success”. The range of the nuclear war heads is not much of a problem as they are designed to reach destinations they are programed to go. It therefore mean they can deploy one of their bombs with terrifying result on Nigerians. The United States and DPRK relations have broken down on account of the nuclear race headed by the Jong-Un leadership. With the recent threat on Nigeria, it is clear why United Nations do not appreciate such technology to fall into the wrong hands.
The tremendous power of a nuclear bomb, the temperament of its holder and the quest to be on the news is what makes the tactless comment of the DPRK news twitter more than just a passing diarrhea of the finger. For a man who was alleged to have killed his uncle, feeding him to the dogs, he was also alleged to have killed his step brother with a chemical weapon amongst so numerous allegations of extra judicial killings, it is indeed very dangerous to have rough tackles with him. If one should add his disposition to summary decision on peoples lives, and his cravings for weapon of mass destruction, it is suggestive of his inclination towards provoking the worst war of global reckoning.
Kim Jong-Un can place his devious sights at any country of his choice regardless of distance. He won’t waste time building horrible bombs without having intentions to use them. Why the choice of Nigeria is what is hard to make out, but what is most important for now is to be loud enough for other superpowers to wrangle the hydra headed monster who may be stronger than estimated. This is the time for Nigerian government to investigate the authenticity of the social media warning, preparatory for Nigeria to raise alarm to alert the world of the craze of the power dazed Jong-Un.

You are an embodiment of nepotism and tribalism coupled with delusion, hypnosis and hypocrisy. How many times have the soldiers escorted the Easters after some people were killed by Hausa's in the north for evangelising the gospel. Now northern soldiers tortured armless civilians in the east and already taking precautionary protective measures for their fellow northers. Perhaps they thought that easterners also eat human flesh like the north. #BUNCH OF CANNIBALS#
