Im an S2 owner and although Im also not impressed with the new S3, you can hardly call it an incremental update like the iphone 4 to iphone 4S?

There is quite a huge difference from what we're told about the S3 compared to the S2. There are just not the differences that we wanted and you're right the screen is a ridiculous size, so im unlikely to upgrade.

1025: the bible says, there is no peace for the wicked. a lot of problems in the pdp camp. chelsea has caused confusion in the pdp camp in spain(barca) now the england pdp camp(man u) has been in disarray following the man city win. what will u do when u win trophies all seasons with the help of howard webb? ppl are watching closely to open up the can of warms but fa was skillful yesterday not to carry out their usual activities. man u for god sake have been far from it all through the season but when two fraudulent ashley young penalties and welbeck drama at standford bridge have helped them so much this season while penalties denied oponents are uncountable.
it is a shame that top clubs like barca and man u depends solely on the refs to win things and when that is not happening, shame will take over them. if not for nasri and his arsenal mentality, man u would have been thrashed again like in the first leg.
ashley young had been warned after he became talk of all sports media houses now he lacks confidence because his crimes have been exposed.
let epl managers make the trophy something teams win out of their efforts not howard webb contacts.
Do you know that tupac is still alive? cheesy

It seems SAF has one more trick up his sleeve. Step forward Howard Webb who is to ref the Newcastle - City match. grin

StarBoard: It has to be a new low when we try consoling ourselves with this fact.
Considering that three weeks ago, this page was ready to celebrate a title that appeared won, despite the fact that there were games to play.
SMH.
You're right. My point is, it still puts into perspective that while we're not as great as we were and have our weakest squad for many years , Our rivals who supposedly are so much better than us are only ahead on GD. I for one knew the fat lady wasnt singing yet even when were up by 8 points. I just don't believe we need to tear up the squad and start again, there is still a basis to build with just 2/3 additions and challenge again next year.

Dont forget that while writing our obituary, its still only goal difference separating us from City.

Also, Welbeck has a fairly serious foot injury.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 8:17am On May 01, 2012
Well, when its time to go, I reckon SAF has earned the right go to that when he feels its time. SAF is stubborn though and wont go down without a fight. I reckon he will take one last crack at City next season and leave after that.

SAF definitely had a brain fart for last night's match. The role he brought Park in for which he was thoroughly woeful at was to track the armored tank that is Yaya which is just laughable. Pretty much Valencia,Young,Welbeck anyone else should have started ahead of park it was so obvious. Atleast give City abit more to think about defensively but SAF was thinking more about getting a draw.

nateevs: I don't care about 38 games. The whole season came down to this 90mins.
If you won this game, you win the league but you were woeful.

So yes, based on this 'one match' City deserve to win the league.
Good thing you dont care about 38 games. You would say the same if City slipped up against one of their last 2 matches?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 9:59pm On Apr 30, 2012
You deserve to win the league by getting the most points at the end of 38 games. Not one match. If they deserve it let them finish about us. no?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 9:56pm On Apr 30, 2012
Its the Everton match that cost us. Not this match. Second half performance was better but SAF killed the first half for us. Selection of Giggs and Park was beyond woeful.

Park is not the all action high energy player he was 2 years ago. At least he could use that to mask his quality but he's lost a yard of pace and even his energy levels are not as high.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Pep Guardiola Set To Step Down As Barcelona Manager by MrTA(m): 1:07pm On Apr 27, 2012
maclatunji: Who are these people talking thrash? Barcelona has always had great teams since the time of the 'Dream Team' assembled by Johan Cruyff. Great coaches like Bobby Robson, Louis van Gaal and Frank Rijkaard had great teams with players like Ronaldo de Lima, Patrick Kluivert, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Luis Enrique, Luis Figo. Yet, they have not matched the success of Guardiola. The way Barcelona play today can be traced back to the days of Johan Cruyff, all the other coaches I mentioned had teams that played in much the same way. However, Guardiola mastered it and has achieved phenomenal success. You cannot take it from him.

How many trophies did Real Madrid win in the era of the Galácticos? This for those of you that are suggesting that anybody can coach Barcelona and win trophies because the players are good. This is one of the reasons I hardly talk about football here. Most Nigerians make a lot of noise about football but know next-to-nothing about the game. Pep Guardiola is the best coach in football in the last 5 years, take it or leave it!
Good post. Good to know there are a few people who know a little bit about the game.

cyril83: Pep is nothing buh a coward...y is allowing chesea's victory to weigh him down...dats one of di attribute of a poor and incompetemt coach...let him Bleep off if he wants to
Its not that though. Pep even said he was considering leaving the game last season as well after the CL win. He's felt he needed the break from the game for a while now. I think its a shame he's leaving and hopefully will be back soon.

logica: Oh, Athletic Bilbao just beat Sporting Lisbon under similar circumstances. The difference was, Bielsa was not "pragmatic". He went for the goal and they won 3-1 and are in the final of the Europa Cup. That's the difference between an attack minded manager and a defensive minded one - one has won, the other hoped to win in penalties even without preparation.

Nonsense, according to you there is no middle ground? You either an attack minded or defensive minded coach?

LOL. You don't know the meaning of a regular do you? Do you see the contradiction in your question? A REGULAR will not wait for Abidal to be unavailable to play. And in case you didn't know, Puyol himself had been out for quite a number of games (do I need to be telling you this?). In any case Adriano is not a regular and Puyol will be preferred to him in that position.
You just proved you've hardly watched Barca this season..Carry on though. smiley

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: The Galacticos (Real Madrid Fans Only) by MrTA(m): 8:20pm On Apr 26, 2012
logica: See I won't even bother arguing with you on that as you have no clue. Adriano is not a regular.

So who is the regular LB who plays when Abidal is unavailable then? Could it be someone who's made the same number of league appearances as Abidal at LB this season?

You had no response to this? Or why would an attack minded manager decide not to go for goal, but rather defend even obviously without having to prepare for penalties judging from his players' wayward shots?
You added that part later but i'll respond to it.

firstly, I never said he was attack minded but to say he is ultra defensive is a complete falsehood. He is pragmatic, he needs to go all out he does, when he needs to park the bus, he does. fact is, Bayern were the better side in both legs so they dominated possession and most of the play. Real' issue was that everytime they got the ball they rushed it forward because they werent playing well enough to keep possession of the ball.

Anything else?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: The Galacticos (Real Madrid Fans Only) by MrTA(m): 8:07pm On Apr 26, 2012
logica: Dude your salvage job failed because you don't even know who plays Abidal's position when he's unavailable. FYI, when Abidal is not available, PUYOL goes to that position and Mascherano pairs Pique. The same for if Dani Alves was out (which was the position where Puyol started his career).
Well nice try but that's completely wrong. most of this season when Abidal has been unavailable it has been adriano who has mainly played that position. he also played that position far more than Puyol. Feel free who ask someone who has actually watched Barca this season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: The Galacticos (Real Madrid Fans Only) by MrTA(m): 7:52pm On Apr 26, 2012
logica: When did Adriano become a regular?

Who plays LB when Abidal is out?

I don't expect you to understand what difference resting ATTACKING players in a game you need to win to stay close to Real Madrid means. He's scoring goals with Real, So not ultra defensive then is he?

how many did he score with Inter? Tell us then, how many did his treble winning inter team score? be sure to includ the 3-1 home win over barca by the way..

Pep will definitely score 50% more than him given the same squad. What is this nonsense based on? The core of pep's team is also made of great players, most of which were there before him,, core players from the best national team in the world and the best player in the world. How can you possibly know that pep would perform better with the same squad?

I'll just keep it short. You should have

Even the semi-final loss against Bayern Munchen showed how ultra-defensive he is. He's scared of a goal from Bayern and had to defend rather than go find a goal in the latter part of the 2nd half. Even with that Bayern had a chance to put the game to sleep.
