How anyone can call Wayne a world class footballer is something a fraud that has gone unchecked for too long.

Be that as it may. He didnt look half as sharp as he normally would for man utd even in this last season which he's been average compared to his usual standards,still managed 27 in 34. He was breathing heavily after the first 30mins of play. He's never looked like that for man utd. He also hadnt played a 90min match in nearly 6 weeks. You dont think that has an impact? He may not be a world class footballer but slightly about average is also going overboard. There never seems to be a middle ground it seems.

That's exactly the point. The hype alone is another reason why he is worth so much to the club. People buy into the hype and image is everything. That must manifest itself in a commercial way otherwise the club wouldnt be using his ugly mug as the face of the man utd brand and still be churning out record profits.

Seems we're going to miss out on 2 important targets. Modric -> Real Madrid is nearing completion and Bayern Munich are being serious about their interest in Javi Martinez.

I very doubt there is another winger in Europe putting up the same numbers as Nani in the last 2 years. I know we'll disagree on this so I'll keep it moving.

I think you're been very harsh on Nani. And the Ronaldo wannabe comparisons are totally unfounded. He plays as a genuine winger with good pace and trickery. I think its us fans who hate on him because he's not Ronaldo. He's never tried to copy Ronaldo in his style of play. You never see him doing stepovers and he has even more finesse in his shooting style. With subtle dinks etc that Ronaldo never does. He's also proved to be one of the most effective wingers in the league and even in the Euros and can atleast play on both flanks. Plus, Ronaldo can only be described as an attacker/forward NOT a winger, while Nani is mostly a winger. The similarity stops at the nationality.

I wouldnt like to lose him really as there arent many players who can do what he does for us. He just needs abit more consistency but that's one of those things you have to put up with when you have flair players.

Strong rumours Nani's contract negotiations arent going too well. I really hope he doesnt end up getting sold.

I think you're being unduly harsh on the French. The way England setup they werent going to get many chances on goal. They were playing essentially 7 defenders out there While the French were the only ones actively trying to score and win the game. England were just sitting and hoping for a break. That's why England should have just played to their strengths and play a strong Physical game with Carroll trying to bully their defender while Young and Welbeck could pick up the scraps around him.

You're probably right about that. I personally thought England should have started with both Carroll and Welbeck up top and Young wide left.

England were setup to Defend. They werent really geared for attack. I thought Young was poor but Welbeck did ok to me. There's really nothing to suggest Carroll would have done better as apart from the goal England scored, They didnt put in many decent balls into the box.

Thought Welbeck did ok for England, but England are just not an attacking force so it was always going to be tough for them.
