This season, I think we've barely stepped out of 2nd gear. I dont even think we have a 5th gear like we used to.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 8:10pm On Nov 14, 2010
Although we still have to look at it as a point gained this was not a good weekend to drop points considering Chelsea's result.

This unbeaten run is meaningless if we end the season trophyless. We really need some players in January.

United would have been expected to win but i dont know why considering even Chelsea also dropped points here.

Tough away match and considering the away form i'm happy to get a point. It could have been alot worse.

What an embarrasing car crash of a thread.

Do you have any evidence of SAF saying he wouldnt sign African players?

Im sure i havent heard this except his comment about knowing you will lose them in January but Im sure he has never said he would not sign African players for this reason or any other reason.

Bastian Schweinstiger is being heavily linked with Man Utd, While I would love him to sign with us, I sense this is just a contract negotiating ploy and he will actually extend his deal.

Any ideas if has made his stance clear?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 4:30pm On Nov 08, 2010
Strong rumours suggest Solskjaer will be leaving the club to manage Molde back in Norway in January. Gary Neville is being linked with the new reserve team manager.

There is no doubt that Arsene wenger is the best coach in England. Alex Ferguson is nos 2 while Henry Redknapp is nos 3.

Well results wise that was an excellent weekend for us.

I really hope we can get a good result at City midweek.

Especially with all the injured players I really hope some of them can be fit sooner rather than later. Half the squad seem to be suffering from food poisoning or some kind of bug so I hope they'll be ready for the derby.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Asley Coly Vs Evra by MrTA(m): 9:29am On Nov 03, 2010
Cole and Im a man utd fan. I love Evra though but Cole is just consistently better.

I reckon Bale ha sput Maicon's career in jeopardy. he might decide to quit football after this.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 10:18pm On Nov 02, 2010
And if Nani is injured maybe Obertan is ready to step up. cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 10:15pm On Nov 02, 2010
Not happy about Nani's injury. I really hope its nothing serious or long term.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 12:37pm On Oct 27, 2010
I have to admit I have not been impressed with Obertan or Bebe. Normally with young players you see a little glimpse straight away and all i can see from these two is that they are quick. I really hope to be wrong.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 9:54pm On Oct 26, 2010
Awful game but that boy Hernandez is just a born goalscorer.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 2:44pm On Oct 22, 2010
All this has also glossed over the fact that he's out injured for 3 weeks because Scholes took a piece out of him during training! grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 2:08pm On Oct 22, 2010
I am delighted that he's staying. As I mentioned before I was hopeful it would all be resolved one way or the other. Atleast now if he still wants to leaving within the next year or 2 we will get a fat wedge of cash for him. cheesy

Now for him to get his form back.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 2:21pm On Oct 21, 2010
Fergie offered Rooney money to make him the highest paid Utd player ever. . so we can conclude it isn't about money.
This is wrong. Being the highest paid Utd player ever does not mean he cannot get better pay at the likes of Man city, Chelsea or Real Madrid. So there's no way to conclude it isnt about money. Not that Im saying it is about money.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 11:29am On Oct 21, 2010
The are more heavy weights to contend with than ever before. It's no longer the prem Fergie knew.
It's way more than Rooney walking out. There are a million things behind the scenes happening that we can't see.
Rooney can but Fergie didn't think he will act on it.
Anyone who can't see through this should remove their red goggles.
Like I said Utd fans, wake up and smell the coffee.
Ridiculous, How can this be a premier league SAF no longer knew? he is still in it and a major part of it. he hasnt left it. He has seen the challenge and always recognised it. If he doesnt know the challenge ahead, which one of those you mentioned know it?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 11:06am On Oct 21, 2010
Fergie's ability to reinvent his team time and time again would give any fan confidence. . . .he's done it so many times people take it as a given. Whether or not he can do that in 2010/11 with the constraints you mentioned will be discovered in due course.
Exactly, SAF is the only reason why people still have confidence as without him we have no chance to keep reinventing the team.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 10:58am On Oct 21, 2010
I think there are tough times ahead no doubt, but I dont not expect it to be the end of MUFC or of the team being competitive.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 10:08am On Oct 21, 2010
But even that can be up for debate, is it not?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 9:05am On Oct 21, 2010
@dudu,

Is there any player at young player at Arsenal who nded up being crap despite the fact that he was obviously watched by Wenger?

The point is Fergie might not have seen Bebe player before signing him but whether right or wrong he got him because he trusted CQ. So that point you're making is totally irrelevant. potential is in the eye of the experience of the managers.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 8:52am On Oct 21, 2010
I admit I am not impressed with the strength of the squad at the moment but I always have faith in SAF. As long as he is the man utd manager, I will always trust him and have faith in him. I dont care who else leaves. Once Fergie goes then I might panic. grin
