Decent performance. Scholes just the best player on the pitch by far.

SAF has told a press conference that this Bebe chap is a winger and can play on both wings.

Makes a little more sense i guess.

Happy Birthday Mr Bayern. Never heard of anyone so passionate about Bayern Munich or Germany, talkless of a nigerian.

Wish you many more.

Every team have their fair share of duds. Its pretty normal for one of the most successful british sides of all time. They obviously dont out weigh the great players that have been at the club and not harmed the club that much in terms of success. So for that reason alone SAF always deserves the benefit of doubt until proven otherwise.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 12:24pm On Aug 12, 2010
Aslong as they are lifting trophies for man utd and regularly spanking Arsenal. its all good. Why should man utd fans care anymore than that?

That's a very bizarre and out of the blue signing.

Really looking forward to the season. I still think the team could do with a player like Mesut Ozil but it seems Barca are about to tie up a deal for him. There is still that one player missing for me but I still expect the team to challenge on all fronts. Come on Man utd!

Nas mentioned in an interview with Tim Westwood that he about to start work on a new album to be released by the end of the year. Personally i doubt it'll come out this year but Im glad to hear he's working on new solo material. Also very happy with the fire Damian Marley seems to have put in his belly.

Seems like Anderson is looking to leave Man utd. I've heard he's not been in SAF's good books for a while and then this?

Chelsea: Sam Walker; Billy Clifford, Rohan Ince, Aziz Deen-Conteh, Ryan Bertrand; Scott Sinclair, Jack Cork, Conor Clifford, Milan Lalkovic (Daniel Philliskirk, 59); Franco Di Santo, Aliu 'Kaby' Djalo (Philipp Prosenik, 59).

Go chop Dust mixed with chocolate. . . .shyt talker!
Chill out. it was a joke! good lord grin

I can see it was very painful despite it being a reserve side. Of course Chelsea's first team wont lose to Wycombe.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 12:01pm On Jul 30, 2010
That score was real and it was with majority of Chelsea's first team squad.

Messi is not a Nigerian,or were you referring to yourselfhuh
Messi is useless in any team where Xavi,Iniesta and co are not there to feed him the ball, but the same cannot be said of Robben

As recently as from Chelsea to Real and then on to Bayern,Arjen has been consistent;VERY CONSISTENT.

I dare say that the moment Messi leaves Barca for any other team, his shyte value will be exposed BIGTIME
Are you sure that you actually watch football? Dont get me wrong Robben is pretty amazing but do you really watch both of them for club and country and come to the conclusion that Robben is a better more consistent player? really?

Sports › Re: Jonathan Bans Nigeria From International Football For Two Years by MrTA(m): 11:39am On Jul 01, 2010
I havent read the thread so I dont know if Im repeating what's been said already.

I think the intentions are right but I dont agree with a ban on all international competitions as the best way to tackle the issues within the NFF.

First FIFA(and CAF) do not take kindly to interference from the government so they are sure to increase the ban.

Also, the youth teams will suffer more from this as lack of exposure to playing international football at all levels will harm their development.

Certainly they need to restructure the organisation but it can do this while the country's teams continue to participate at all levels as usual.

I hope Goodluck sees sense, overturns the ban and carry out the re- org of the entire sports organisation, not just football, but all the major sports as our people are very very passionate about our sports.

Lastly, I've never subscribed to the mentality of having foreign coaches, especially since Bonfere jo and Westerhof left. I hope they invest in the countries coaches and send them on the right training abroad to gain and knowledge and hopefully apply it to the local teams and to the country. Siasia seems to be very serious about his coaching so he should be encouraged and supported so he can take over this super eagles. Im not saying he is a messaih or whatever but he seems to have some very interesting ideas and he should be given an opportunity. No more going to the same channel like Amodu every time they need a stop gap.
Sports › Re: Germany comprehensively whoops England (Finals score 4-1) by MrTA(m): 4:41pm On Jun 28, 2010
All speculation as to how the game would have changed. You dont know for sure if England would not have pushed for the winner after coming back to 2-2 or not. Also nothing to say if england didnt the Germans wouldnt score again as they didnt need england to be pushing up for an equaliser before scoring 2 goals to go ahead. Shit happens. It was a goal and it wasnt given. cry more England. Fact is you were outplayed by a decent German team that wont win the world cup. Simply not good enough.

Franz was right " England stupidly finished 2nd in their group".

They were awful throughout the tournament so they then expected to step it up when they met their first decent team.

To be honest, Rio has become very injury prone in the last year or so. I think Ledley King played more league games than him last season. Which just tells you how bad its getting for him. Its going to be very tricky relying on him playing consistently for us next season as he's over 30 now so really we need to be looking at a long term successor. Hopefully Smalling can step up.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 11:28am On May 28, 2010
We never had a choice with Pique. He was never going to dislodge Ferdinand and Vidic so it was only fair SAF let him go.

Owen will still be at the club next season, as will Berbatov, Diouf and Macheda. I dont think they are the problem I think we need more goals from midfield. Dont think we got double figures from anyone on the wings or midfield and that was a huge draw back. we need a creative/goalscoring midfielder like a Sneijder/Gourcouff. Obviously we cannot afford him but that's the missing link for me.

The same brand of footie that won barca 6 titles last season, the only differentiation here is that barca were more clinical and efficent in front of goal

pass, pass and pass as many described it, takes the right players, mentality, confidence and dedication to perfect, what's the big deal

about relying on long balls and pacy wingers/full backs to play footie. amateur players in local leagues though out the world do that poo for fun

take it or leave it, barca and arsenal's brand of footie epitomises how footie should be played. if it was nothing special and easy then we should have more

teams doing the same. To borrow cantona's phrase, put the ball on the ground and "make the ball happy"
So by your definition Barca play the best brand of footy then. That Im willing to accept. Dont come here telling me Arsenal play the best of footy when they cannot live with us and Chelsea.

Also, we saw a clear difference when Barca faced Arsenal.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 8:45am On May 26, 2010
People seriously need to stop perpetuating the myth that Arsenal play the best football in the EPL.
