Of course Cole is pretty fantastic. Never any doubt about that. But he's had bad games just like everyone else.

I'm looking forward to the next few games Rangers and Liverpool actually. I hope Rooney has got his head on right considering all he's dealing with in his private life.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 11:50am On Sep 14, 2010
Just one quick example. Evra's perfect cross to scholes to head in the last minute winner against Man City last season.

Anyways, its a pointless debate. We know you like your Cole, we like our Evra. Keep it moving.

HNIC:
When we say these things, we are labelled as 'bad belle people'
If I were Moyes, i woulda slapped the taste outta the ref's mouth
Asswhole!
The ref blew the whistle after PJ took the shot and VDS saved it which he did confortably. What is wrong with that? There was no rebound or any afters. VDS saved the shot cleanly. Ref blew the whistle as the stoppage time had elapsed but if it was Man utd like at the man city match you would all be complaining that why didnt the ref blow the whistle. So surely you can understand why you Arsenal fans would be labelled as such?

Good lord, I cannot believe I just wasted my time watching this awful awful game. Apart from 2 good saves by Reina this was a very very poor spectacle.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 7:04pm On Sep 11, 2010
Unforgivable defending here today. Completely unacceptable. The only way to look at this positively is that we've gone away to Everton and Fulham where we got 0 points last season but this year we've got a point. They are tough opponents away from home . Just annoying that we imploded as we did.

We have to fix the leak at the back. conceding 5 goals away from home in 2 matches is unacceptable.

I'd welcome CQ back as assistant manager but I dont think i'd want him to take over as managerwhen SAF goes which is the only issue for me.

Good to see Rooney score tonight. Hopefully he keeps it up against Everton on saturday. Bebe also scored a goal for the U21s today.

Bebe played for portugal's under 21s this evening. They lost 1-0 to England under 21.

Bebe was described as ineffective.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Mourinho Unhappy With Lack Of Strikers by MrTA(m): 6:29pm On Sep 03, 2010
I'm not making any excuses for Jose. Of course the buck stops with the manager so if they dont have a successful season it'll be his fault.

That does not mean there is anything wrong with him complaining about the quality of the strikers at his disposal when aligned with the clubs ambitions.

Every single manager's signings can be questioned when up to close scrutiny. What you cannot argue with is Jose's record and achievements.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Mourinho Unhappy With Lack Of Strikers by MrTA(m): 4:03pm On Sep 03, 2010
Why should he not bemoan or should he not express his unhappiness at his squad?
He had the summer to address it but you must remember Real Madrid are not like any other club.
The signings are NOT made by the manager, they are made by the President. It has been that way for many years. The manager can say what types of players he wants and which players but in the end its the board that will handle it. Pellegrini bemoaned not signing the defenders he wanted as did Capello and even Del Bosque. You know what they were told? "we dont buy defenders we grow them".(admittedly they reluctantly bought some later)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Mourinho Unhappy With Lack Of Strikers by MrTA(m): 12:46pm On Sep 03, 2010
Maybe he tried and failed. How do we know? Even Drogba was linked ( just like Ashley Cole was heavily linked as they needed a LB but that's a different story) But it just didnt happen. He bought midfielders because he also needed some and also he got Carvalho and even tried to bring in Maicon and it didnt happen. He didnt exactly splash out on Khedira and Ozil did he? those 2 cost about £22M. It was always going to be tough to bring in top players as their prices would almost double soon as real were interested.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Mourinho Unhappy With Lack Of Strikers by MrTA(m): 12:30pm On Sep 03, 2010
Very bizarre early criticism of Jose here. What's wrong with him saying the 2 strikers he has at his disposal not being good enough. Surely he is better placed than any of us here to say how good his players are?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: What Went Wrong? Robinho And The World-class Footballers Who Became Premier Leag by MrTA(m): 1:39pm On Sep 02, 2010
What is being discussed exactly? These players failed because they either could not adapt to the premier league or to the cluture in England.

Same can be said about about other "World Class" players who fail at other leagues.Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a case in point. Or Ronaldinho at Milan and countless others?

Very easy win for us today. didnt even need to get out of 2nd gear. West Ham are really really poor.

Rooney is fit for the West Ham game according SAF. Hopefully he can play himself back into some form.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by MrTA(m): 9:17am On Aug 24, 2010
I think its very very harsh to blame any keeper conceeding those goals. In both instances the defenders were at fault and I think you under estimate how difficult it is to save those attempt at pretty much point blank range.

I though we defended very poorly for most of the match. VDS was too busy for my liking.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fulham Vs Manchester United [2 - 2] On Sunday Aug 22 At 4pm by MrTA(m): 6:02pm On Aug 22, 2010
It was always going to be tough away at Fulham. 2-2 is not the worst result in the world but it wasnt a good performance.

Away at Craven cottage is always tough. I hope the guys pull out a big performance though even though its early in the season because that's what we will need to get 3 points. Definitely need Rooney to get back his form soon.
