eph12: I still don't understand how some of you still think we can win this europa
I always laugh when I see fans making this statement about us winning the europa. I like to be optimistic about the team as much as possible but my eyes do not lie to me. This team is in the bottom half of the league for a reason.
eph12: Considering our limited budget? I'll prefer we spend on attackers first and keeper after. If we had better attackers, we will be much higher on the table than we currently are in spite of Onana uselessness
As good as Liverpool were. Thry were hamstrung by Karius in goal. I'm not sure we can continue to survive that. He has to go.
De Gea didn't absolutely have to go. You just had to bring in good players. Hehehe.
You think Onana just because bad overnight?
That's why I laugh when you people say a keeper will make the team player well, when it's the other way around
Not sure where I have lied here. You seem to forget DDG was playing against us in his last 2 seasons. So many errors. People point to golden glove but our deep defence has a much to do with that than even DDG.
........I read posts comparing Onana and De Gea, and I couldn’t help but laugh. I implore everyone to read old pages from 13301 to perhaps 13305. LOL!
You won’t believe that some posters here actually led the campaign calling for the signing of Onana?! CapitalCee and Patrickmuf were fully in charge of the crew.
The campaign was so convincing that even Odizeey, the number one De Gea fan on this board, succumbed and joined the crew. LOL!
Let's not revise history. DDG had to go. He absolutely had to go. The problem is most of us saw Onana perform well in the CL final and advocated for him. 2 things can be right, DDG had to go but Onana also has to go.
afrodoc2: Attacking him blindly and defending him blindly will both no help him.
He has some good qualities but really needs to improve on his touch above everything else. An improved touch will automatically improve his driving with the ball and his passing.
He has some decent qualities but to be honest he's not at the required level if we want to be a serious team. That's not to say he can't get there but in a team already struggling and under pressure it'll be even harder.
Youngest Under-18 debutant for us. Youngest Under-18 scorer as well.
I read online about this kid. Basically a project baby from birth bred to be a footballer. Doesnt attend a school as he's homeschooled and trains nearly everyday since he could walk. Already signed to a PR company and has a Nike deal. Will be interesting to see how he turns out.
How would you rate these EPL strikers in terms of goal scoring ability as a CF and general football technique ?
1)Alan Shearer 2) Harry Kane 3) Wayne Rooney 4) Andrew Cole 5) Sergio Aguero 6) Henry 7) RVN
Shearer holds the record of the highest goals scored, but I don’t think he’s as talented as some of the guys on this list.
As a pure 9. Shearer is still number one for me. Evey type of finish under the sun consistently. Extremely deadly. His eye for goal was 2nd to none. I truly believe if he had joined man utd instead of Newcastle SAF would have minimum 2 more champions league titles. Maybe more. Henry and Rooney are the best overall footballers. Kane, RvN and Aguero are similar level behind Shearer with Cole slightly behind.
Jamiuokolaa: We have dominated but that final killer pass/through ball has been missing.
Not sure we created any clear cut chance in that first half.
Dunno maybe it's just a one-off thing but Forest have been sub-par in this game...
Really wondering how they have managed to pull off their impressive run in the league.
And these are the kinda teams England would be sending to Europe next season
Forest play a very simple no frills style. Solid all over and use the wings a lot. No fancy playing from the back or inverted wingers. Just straight up basic fast wing play and strong set pieces.
Jamiuokolaa: I thought I was the only one that noticed Case's "effective and efficient" performances of recent. Nothing spectacular but decent enough to get results.
Hopefully we beat leicester on Monday and go into the international break on a winning streak.
Watched it last night. The only good thing I took from it was accountability from ineos for their mistakes and their focus on doing the right things but there will be some initial pain.
Also very shocking and disappointing that GNev's suggestion for the 40K was not something anyone at the club or ineos thought of and Sir Jim was surprised by it. It makes it scary to imagine who is coming up with creative solutions to the many problems they face if they couldn't do something as simple as that.
eph12: With Obi's performance in his last game, he will be starting very soon. However I hope we can protect him so he does not derail like those that were promising before him
I dont want us to rush Obi. He's still very Raw and needs time to develop.
eph12: Rasmus is a problem right now. He is at his lowest and can't even be given some time off the first 11. Physically, mentally, motivation, everything is just down
Unfortunately, there are no other options. He just has to play his way through it and hope a goal bounces off his backside and maybe that will help lift him. he has to play because we literally dont have enough personel to not play him.
