Everybody body dey hot o. You people should be calming down. Which one is sell off Mainoo like fresh bread. Lets calm down and wait for his contract situation to be sorted. The club no longer has the bandwidth to give silly wages of before so I don't think we should worry about those. |

An opportunity for one or two young lads to make their full debuts, if you ask me Rumours that Chido might start tomorrow. |

odizeey: Shebi them been say the guy na childhood United fan? He was always reported to be a United fan from many decades. Its only because he was interested in buying Chelsea when they were upbfor sale that the doubts started to creep in. |

Bombblacks: I can't stand anyone defending Amorim currently. Moyes went to Everton who were relegation contenders and in 8 games won 4, draw 2 and lost 2. That's the same amount of wins Amorim has in 15games at United which includes embarrassing Home defeats and you all think it's just the players. He has underperformed badly even with this current crop of players. I cant defend Amorim. The league table from when he started the job till now shows him at 17th place over the 15 games. I dont know if I can trust the people who decided he was a good idea to hire the next manager. or if they same people who wined and dined a DoF only to sack him within a few months after having to pay conpensation to sign him. Make all of them get out. |

Bombblacks: So how did he bid 4billion to buy the club and another 1 billion to invest in it? Networth is useless when talking about royal families. He bid that but was unable to provide any documentation to back his bid like a proof of funds. His funds were complete ghost.. |

Jamiuokolaa: The hiring and firing thing is a common practice even at the most successful clubs in the world and it in no way undermines the competency of those at the helm of affairs there Of course context needs to be applied. if the hires keep failing questions will be asked. If Madrid keeps hiring a Carlos Queiroz types. Questions would be asked about who is making those decisions. Not so much for hiring and sacking Jose Mourinho after his 3rd year. |

Jamiuokolaa: The selection of coaches na gamble and tbh, you really can't fault most of the appointments made within the last 12years TBH...atleast based on form and pedigree..
Successful club dons in Europe usually prioritise permanent interests of the club over relationships and sentiments - they seldom give endless excuses for underperforming managers like we do here, neither do they advocate that the fans "suffer endlessly" I dont understand your post. Are you agreeing with me? |

nitrogen: Average shelf life is 2-3 years. Reason I tell people to stop looking at long term managerial stuff.
If you have square pegs, then target square holes until you get round pegs. Not like there are only round holes everywhere.
So, you’d rather we spend another 700m to confirm that the manager is a mistake? And then you will have the same shitty excuse and requirements for the next manager. Damn! You're the only one always talking about long term managerial stuff. No one on this thread cares about long term manager. They call for sacking quick if he doesn't show progress. Let's face those continually making bad appointments. |

DeeScan: That's not accurate..
Trent was moved into midfield in which Conor Bradley was brought in to take his position at rb ..
Trent wasn't his man anymore.. Conor Bradley was.. That's not correct because Bradley replaced Trent as a sub. Thry werent on the pitch together. Trent was subbed few mins after the goal for Bradley. Trent was still playing RB when he scored. Thats not to say Rashford should be tracking Trent or not. |

nitrogen: Depends on your definition of failure and success. You want someone that would be here for a long term, average term for a manager is 3 years with 2-3 trophies until they mess up or move on. Gone are the days of Alex Fergie spending 10-20 years at a club with consistent great performances. Lol. I havent said anything about long term. Are the club happy with the managers they have been hiring? Have they been a success? Why do they keep firing them if they have all been a success? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 1:57pm On Feb 22, 2025 |
nitrogen: There is no wrong manager. It’s always a gamble. If it does not work, we move on. Very few managers are right managers with guarantees. E.g. Pep. If you can’t get such managers, you keep hiring and firing. So why all man utd gambles failing? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 1:54pm On Feb 22, 2025 |
