Shaw is a good crosser of the ball. He’s not exceptional or world class in that regard, but he’s not terrible either.

The problem is we don’t have any player who can attack the ball in the air, so our gameplay rarely features crosses. Dalot and Bruno makes more crosses than Shaw, how many assists have they gotten from them?

I agree he's a good crosser but I dont think he's a consistently good crosser. He's probably the longest serving player at the club now and in that time has played with a variety of strikers (RVP,Rooney,Zlatan,Lukaku,Martial etc) He should have done much better than that. I think when he first arrived he was below average crossing in his first couple of seasons but definitely improved in recent years. He definitely should have done better in that time and our lack of recent strikers isnt a good enough excuse.

Maybe United is waiting to see what Levy's price is. Once Bayern bids an amount he's okay with lUnited might swoop in, match that bid (or go above a lil bit) and hijack the deal just like they did with Malacia last summer.

I don't believe we have £100 to sign Kane this summer.

Bayern have submitted a new bid for Kane. I'm assuming that means they know he's interested in a move otherwise they wouldn't bother with a bid. If Kane doesn't leave spurs this summer then I will lose all respect for him. He needs to go to Bayern or anywhere else. He cannot stay another season at Spurs.

It's a difficult decision but it's the right one. Just wished the club handled his exit better. I hope Onana works out. For all our mental and physical health. I really hope so.

I would love 1 more midfielder like a Lavia for example. Shame the club are not very smart at selling because there is enough to raise funds in the squad but I think limited funds will mean after a keeper we might not have anymore money to spend even for a badly needed striker.

I used to complain about this and one of the first changes Rangnick made when he got here was to switch him to RCB. When ETH came he did the same.

The Timber ship sailed a long time ago. Timber and Martinez can't play in the EPL. The only way we could have used Timber is as a RB but it seems ETH has decided on Dalot and AWB.

We needed a LCB more than a RCB last season as Varane, Lindelof, and Maguire are all better at RCB, so we were lucky to get Martinez and Timber plus Martinez is the better passer of the two. Timber is faster and more agile though.

I think Maguire actually prefers LCB. That's where he played at Leicester, for United under Ole and for England.

What he means is that Grealish has been as bad as Sancho but because the team is winning and the team is not Man Utd there is less focus on him.

It is not a consolation though. We need our own players to perform. That someone elsewhere is flopping does not make it any more acceptable.

I understand this and I agree with you. And to respond to your other post we know why this is happening and it would be the same if roles were reversed so I think the criticism Sancho is facing is completely justified. While Grealish can walk away with a treble and less abuse because of his team's success. This is the nature of the game. So I dont see the point in comparing them like Sancho is unfairly treated when he's not.

Yeah but we would have gained maybe 5m from the negotiation. The fee is a bit high but not really a big deal. The major issue is the choice of the player. We just need to hope that ETH has a good plan in mind for how he will use the guy.

I am serious nah. ETH obviously wanted Mount. I heard he tried to sign him when he was Ajax manager and Mount was on loan in the Eredivisie.

The only thing one can blame the board for is not being able to successfully beat the price down a bit but that is neither here nor there. He was not going to go for less than 50m no matter who negotiated. Main thing is ETH wanted his man and the board backed him EARLY on this one. If it works out genius move but if does not, he will face the consequences.

Its because the club is full of mumus when it comes to negotiations. Chelsea had an FFP deadline today and Mount wasnt signing any extension. There's no way the club shouldnt have come out from the deal with the upper hand.
