Sanchez has played double the number of minutes and not really done as much as martial even in the same period.

I'm with Isaac here. I think that Lindelof kid can come good. Look past his silly mistakes and nervousness, you might see what we are seeing.

I actually believe he's a talented footballer. He just cannot be a world class defender if you dont love to defend. And Lindelof never looks like someone who loves to defend. He can be a good defender but a world class one is laughable.

Players i know that would turn out really good and even achieve World-Class status if nurtured well are Martial, Luke Shaw, Lindelof and Pogba (this one is very annoying shaa, back and forth everytime). Probably why the club was very reluctant to sell the first two despite Mou issues and even offered contract extensions to them.

You were doing so well till you included Lindelof. Lindelof is never a potential world class player in this life or the next.

I wouldn't say he was an unnecessary buy. Its not worked out because Sanchez has decided he can only play from the left. If he was going to play from the right like he did at Barcelona and Udinese, he would have been a great asset. As it is now, he's a massive failure.

The Paul Pogba episode reminds me of how grateful I am for David De Gea. The man saved the club from embarrassment in 2014, but behaved with such class when his desired move to Real Madrid fell through. No tantrums, no strike, no nothing. Kept his head down & got on with things.

Good half. Been on the front foot but nothing to show for it. We got extremely lucky as that was definitely a pen on Lucas. We've played ok but a lack of high quality is definitely evident. Spurs are very much in the game as the longer its 0-0 the more they're grow in confidence. Also still don't trust our centrbacks even though Smalling has been very good, Jones is a mistake waiting to happen. Still cant believe we haven't gotten rid of him.

Spurs a getting some isolated chances with our defenders near the end of the half. Hope that's not going to happen more in the 2nd half.

I was listening to Neville on MNF. He was pretty much spot on and exactly what I was saying from the Leicester match. The team doesnt know how to build attacks. No build up of waves and waves of attacks. Too many forced balls. No smart incisive play very immature runs and no attacking intensity. That's how we started the game and Brighton immediately took the front foot when they could see that we were not up for it. The defensive mistakes were a result of that. It wasnt just that we were bad in defense but those mistakes were because we had no clue how to progress our play through the team. it also doesnt change the fact that some players simply arent good enough for the club. Lindelof is never a Man utd player. Ashley young shouldnt be playing full back for man utd. Neither should Valencia.

My main point is unfortunately, Jose is the problem.

Yeah, its a good thing City didnt get Jorginho. He's an elite player. But trust us not to even look in that direction though.

truth is,when they both play at their absolute best Sanchez is still the better player.

You would have a point if Sanchez has put in a world class performance for us since he's been here in January. He's had a few decent games. Spurs in the FA Cup and City away but those were games he and the others played very very well. Has Sanchez dominated a game the way he did at arsenal for us at any point since he's arrived? I was not happy with his performance yesterday but lets see if he improves.

It looks like Manchester United is still in preseason. These players are not fit. There is no work done in attack.

Shaw and Pogba brought disorganisation too early. Shaw could not keep one single ball, always heading away to another player when he should be controlling. Pogba on the other hand was losing possession any how.

I can't see what Pereira brings. Rashford cannot hold up play.

The front 3 are the main problem. And Darmian of course.

I only really watched Mina at the world cup. I didn't see much of him at Barca. He looked good at the world cup. Not amazing. But he's not displacing Pique or Umtiti at Barca. I'm surprised Barca preferred to sign another cb and sell him though. Maybe they don't really rate him? Will be interesting to see if he signs. He cost Barca £11m or so just 6 months ago and now we'll probably go and pay £40m+

Considering that the BPL has been won a 'blue' team in the past 5 seasons, the only 'red' team in serious contention is Liverpool.
