Sports › Ighalo Makes 'u-turn' On Retirement? by MrTrend(op): 3:39pm On Aug 02, 2019 |
Odion Ighalo, the Super Eagles and Shanghai Shenhua forward, has left his fans in limbo as to whether he would rescind his decision to quit the national team or not.
According to reports, Ighalo has given a strong hint he could be back playing for the Super Eagles just weeks after announcing his retirement from international football.
The Chinese Super League striker shocked Nigerians when he announced his retirement from the national team following the Super Eagles win over Tunisia in the third-place match at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
After defeating the Carthage Eagles, Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr revealed the former Watford man has retired from the National team. “He has been very strong for us,” Rohr told ESPN. “And it is sad, that he wants not to continue.
“But the door always is open for him any time.”
The former Granada striker then took to his social media pages to confirms Rohr’s comments, saying he is done with the Super Eagles.
However, following his announcement, NFF president, Amaju Pinnick revealed he has spoken to him to reverse his decision. But Ighalo revealed he has not taken a decision yet as that time, saying he will need to consult his family before deciding.
In his statement, it read; “If I am going to reverse my retirement, I would need to consult with my family and my club. I respect the President of the NFF, but the reversal of my retirement is certainly not one that I can take alone. I need to consult with others before I take a decision.”
It now seems he has made a decision after he posted a picture of him with the Super Eagles on twitter with a cryptic caption, saying “Coming Back Stronger”
Ighalo’s comeback will be a huge boost for Rohr and the Super Eagles who begin their qualifiers for 2021 AFCON in November. He became the second Nigerian to win the golden boot at the just-concluded biennial tournament in Egypt, scoring in games against Burundi, Cameroon, Algeria and Tunisia. A Taiwan woman has cut off her ex-husband’s penis and testicles to punish him for being unfaithful to her while the couple were still married, territory’s police said.
The angry ex-wife, 58-year-old Ms Lee from Taiwan’s Hukou, reportedly attempted to seduce her former spouse at the couple’s home and then grabbed his genitals and sheared them off with sharpened scissors.
According to reports made available to Brainnews, Ms Lee then doused the severed private parts with acid and flushed them down the toilet.
According to the local precinct, the victim, 56-year-old Mr Chen called the police after the incident.
Both the victim and the suspect, who was found unconscious, were rushed to the hospital.
They are currently in stable condition.
The police are awaiting the couple’s recovery so they can give formal written statements.
The pair divorced less than a month ago, but Mr Chen continued to live with his former spouse. See graphic photos below;See More At; https://www.brainnewsradio.com/woman-cut-off-ex-husbands-manhood-flushes-it-down-the-toilet/

Education › School Where Pupils Sit On Floor To Learn In Akwa Ibom (Photo) by MrTrend(op): 8:36pm On Jul 30, 2019 |
The newly installed 36th President of Rotary Club of Uyo, District 9142 in Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Idongesit Domingo-Inyang, has decried the situation where pupils still sit on the floor of their classroom to learn in the state, Brainnews report.
Mr. Ifiok, a resident of the community, told NDV that the poor condition of the school had forced many parents in the community to withdraw their children from the school to nearby Use Offot Primary School.
However, stepping in, Domino-Inyang, a Paul Harris Fellow, embarked on fund-raising ceremony to provide writing desks and seats in Primary School, Nsukara Offot, Uyo Local Government Area of the state.
According to a Vanguard report, she explained that the club decided to embark on the N1.5 million project designed to lift the pupils from floor to desk in order to preserve human dignity, but that it requires a total of N12.550 million to execute its community service projects for the Rotary year.
“I urge you to help us connect the world through friendship and humanitarian service by donating generously. We will apply your kind donations to the following life touching project to create lasting impact and transform our communities:
”Building of toilets, reticulation of borehole in selected secondary schools, installation of sick bay and medical equipment in selected secondary schools in the state. We intend to build toilets for Government Technical College, Ewet, because we noticed that the school, with a large population, has no good toilet facility.
“With your support, we will be preventing diseases by providing medical equipment and consumables, reticulation of borehole and perimeter fencing in a selected primary health centre,” she said.
“As the newly-installed President of Rotary Club of Uyo, I thank you for your goodwill donations and for your future donations. I know I can count on your financial and technical support today and within the Rotary year. With you on my side we will be able to achieve this effectively,” Rotarian Domingo-Inyang added.
Other areas of focus she listed include empowerment of 10 indigent, but productive widows, training of youths in skills acquisition and provision of reading aids to visually-impaired persons.
