Latex masonry paint should do the trick. Wait until the wall is completely dry, remove any exterior paint, and paint over the exposed block with the latex masonry paint.

Commercial fish farm and I'll be using tanks. On second thought, I prefer 2 plots along New Ife road. The road must be motorable, but does not need to be in a heavily populated area and also not in the bush.

What's the Sqft. Those style of houses you guys have in Nigeria are so ugly ,colonial and outdated.They also look complicated and may incur unnecessary expenditure. The homes in the photo below are very simple,yet elegant,straightforward ,and also easy to build and complete within a short period of time. In fact,you do not have to waste money on conventional roofing nor stairs because prefabricated stairs is much cheaper. Colour is also important in the finishing . White ,grey and peach colours gives a modern look to a building.

Are the prefabricated stairs and roofing available in Nigeria? If so, company name please.

All this methodologies are great in an environment where manufacturing is viable. But some can still be use if it can be made with manual technology. I'm hoping to use Concrete Rings; like for wells; to construct my septic tank. I don't see why it wouldn't work!

For a door and window lintel, lifting each side inch by inch to the desired height is possible. It will just take time

If you need monolithic chain lintel, it's impossible to do it as precast. Well, let me not say impossible. I just thought of how.

Yes. If only 1 side needs to be lifted a couple inches at a time, it's possible.

And we're talking about lintels, not beams.

I don't think you understood what I described. You will only need your labor crew to lift the lintel up the height of 1 block at a time. It will take time, but its an option if a pulley system cant be purchased or made.

Easy with a little bit of man power and blocks laying around on the site.

Lay 3 blocks spaced apart on the ground. Have your laborers lift the lintel on the blocks. Prepare another 3 blocks. Lift 1 side of the lintel and slide 1 block underneath. Lift the other side up and slide another block underneath. Put 1 block in the middle for added support. Continue until the height needed is reached and then lift the lintel into place.

Simple. Could be easier if someone purchased or made a pulley system.

Now this is what am talking about! Thanks very much. I actually went to Ikea for inspiration last weekend. I'm looking at their Kitchenettes. There are so many ideas that I have gotten. I will like to patronize our cabinet maker in Nigeria. I have couple of ideas and i will like to see if someone in Lagos or Ogun state can develop a replica for me.

Another space saving item is a toilet and sink combo. I'm really considering this for a visitors toilet I have designed into my build.

Nope. It's a visitors toilet. Do they need to look outside? I was going to use an overhead bathroom fan for ventilation.

The tank is actually below the sink. If you take a close look at the sink, you will notice it is shallow. The tank for the toilet is in the same position as all the toilet tanks I've seen in Niaja.

I think it will work. I'm considering it, because the layout that we have come up with has a visitors toilet on the ground level but it's not have a window and it seems bathrooms with a window is part of the building code. At least that is what I was told. If it is code, I'll have to carve out some space by the entrance for that beauty.

The problem I forsee is maintenance. Sand will blow into the space between the rocks and bring seeds with them. So think ahead.

Good thinking, but it's nothing a little weeding or weed killer can't fix. It will only be about 10 pillars and anything that grows won't grow over night.
