but in Nigeria we have many. At least 80% of Nigerians cannot afford 3 square meal daily nor have the means to buy a bag of rice that is less than $55. In America they have food banks for those who cannot afford to feed. It's total free and they do not have to belong to a political party or know someone before they could have access to it. Do you have that here in Nigeria?
You are shifting the goalposts. Before, you said Americans don't beg for alms, Americans always eat three square meals.

I bust your bubbles and now you are changing the narrative.

Your only view about America is through movies and hearsay. You are not in a position to argue with someone who lives there.

If your life is not better in Nigeria, that doesn't mean other people's life are like yours

So, shut it.

are they poor that an average American citizens cannot afford to feed? An average American citizens cannot afford 3 square meal daily? Are they so poor that they cried to their president that they're Hungry? Are they so poor that they loot any lorry carrying food or any warehouse filled with food items just for them to feed? Are they so poor that their children doesn't have access to quality education, but instead they are being sent out to beg for alms before they could feed?

The poor ones over there will automatically become rich or at least a middle class when they return to Nigeria. Does that applies to poor Nigerians if given Free visa to US or Canada? Will their naira currency makes them automatically become rich when they land there and convert their money to USD?
Yes, some Americans cannot afford 3 square meals.

Some Americans beg for alms on the street as well.

So, you do not know about this?

You have watched too many american movies

At least they are paid for the job, we'll paid. E easy to earn 12pounds for nightshift for care home, earn 15 quid for sanitation officer plus paid overtime and holiday. Have you seen refuse collectors or security asking anything for the boys. In Nigeria person clearing gutter they will pay him 2k after 8 hours work. Road cleaners will work everyday for 15k a month, lawma boys will be looking like horror movie and still asking anything for the boys. Let's not talk of security, cleaners, private school teachers. Abeg japa and forget all these failed leaders whose children are abroad but discouraging you not to japa
Those doing menial jobs abroad are not well paid as you think.

By the standard of the country where they live (e.g, UK, US, Canada), they are still classified as "poor" and they live as such over there.

It is only if they change the money that it seems big here.

If the exchange rate of dollar to naira is close, you will see exodus of people coming back into Nigeria.

Thank you so much.

Obazee advised the FG at that time to ensure that General Overseers of churches were not allowed to hand over to their children and they should retire after spending certain years as GO.

It was then Baba Adeboye retired as the GO of Redeemed Church Nigeria and handed over to Pastor Joshua Obayemi.

Where is Pastor Joshua Obayemi now?

Who is still the GO of RCCG Nigeria as we speak?

The VP then, who was a RCCG member, might have pulled the string that got Obazee sacked then.

I dont see anything wrong so far.

The guy did not steal any money.

He requested to be paid a professional service fee. So, what was wrong in that?

Nigerians must learn to pay professionals their true worth. I have seen a case where an engineer spent just 2 minutes to fix a problem and he demanded for 10k. The client was arguing that how many minutes did he spend on the job, He was a professional for crying out and he charged what he considered commensurate.

The risk to his life and that of his children and his staff should be considered too. I would not mind paying 2 billion to block a leakage or recover 200 billion.

Corrupt CBN staff wants to taint the guy. If CBN staff had been effective in their jobs, there would not be a need to bring Obazee.

Corruption is codedly fighting back as usual.

Igbo illiterates can still communicate in English compare to Yoruba illiterates. Igbo has good delicacy more than Yoruba. Igbo married women are not that loosed compare to Yoruba married women. I never knew it was called "stone coated".

Please can you educate me on this. I was told there were so many fake stone coated roofing out there.

I have seen houses built within a year and the roofing fading off terrible, thus the aesthetic of the building is badly impacted.

Are there things to look out for to be certain one is buying the original material.

It is quite devastating buying fake stone coated materials at an exorbitant prices.

1. They could use an existing valid API auth from a bona fide licensee and piggyback their own app on it. Most likely scenario

2. MITM attack, if the NIMC security is not robust. Less likely but quite possible

3. Internal agents via social engineering or outright compromise...very common
1. I doubt the fact that a bona fide licensee can share the authentication credentials with them knowing fully well they are competitors.

2. I doubt that MITM attack can be responsible as the credentials are encrypted over the wire, and if it is tampered with, the authentication will not go through.

3. The credentials (especially the key) on prod environments are always known to one or two persons. They need to conduct rigrorous investigation to pin it on someone

This means there are no technical people who are competent at NIMC.

How did XpressVerify API interface with the national data which suppose to require authentication and authorization before access will be allowed.

Only God knows what they have been able to do with people's data.

Head suppose to roll with NIMC technical drivers and hard questions need to be asked.

Competent hands and robust infrastructure suppose to man sensitive data as such. I am so scared there would have been lot of identity thefts already

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Great Pastors Die Young Despite Healing Many by MT: 10:04am On Mar 17, 2024
CaptainJune:
The Lord Jesus died young at the age of 33. This is after He had fulfilled His ministry. Yes, Jesus is the Great Apostle of the Christian faith. Whether you are called to the fivefold ministry or not you are free to go home to be with the Lord after you have fulfillled your ministry.

I agree with the Op regarding other factors that take heavy toll on their health but this also applies to everyone. As such, pastors are humans like any of us. The key here is to take care of one's health. Moses' father-in-law, Jethro, advised him to delegate duties to the Israelites so as not to be overburdened by them. Had he not done so Moses would have probably died earlier than he did.

Some pastors also do face the warfare (bizarre according to wordly standards) aspects of their calling such as helping an individual, family, community, or nation be delivered from satanic strongholds that may have been running for generations. Some pastors confront these demons (princes and rulers of wickedness) without proper spiritual mapping and preparation. This results in the death of some of this pastors. One has to be anointed and directed by God before embarking on spiritual liberation against evil entities.
Jesus had a special assignment to do on earth. You could not quote Jesus'age as the standard. Don't spin the narrative.

God has a covenant of 70 years with the people on earth. The op was simply asking, why did some pastors die before this time promised to us by God .

Why should they when the strongest passports are from white dominated countries? However, in cases where whites naturalise, they celebrate/cherish it. Such as Singapore. Indians, Pakistanis and Filipinos celebrate their naturalisation. Nothing stops Nigerians or other Africans from doing the same. It is an achievement on its own.
When I read the bolded, I knew you have not traveled out before. You are one of those we are trying to shape their worldview.

First of all, those you mentioned (at the bolded) are not classified as "whites". Your kind is the one that will see a Chinese and be worshipping him as "white".

Two, do you know that during the Brexit, the EU citizens working in the UK were offered British citizenship. Large numbers of them considered it as insults and they declined, they went back to their countries. A German would rather die as a German than a British.

Three, do you realize that there was a time in the past, Nigerians landing at British airports were offered British citizenship at the port of entry, which majority of them declined. It was a thing of beauty to be a Nigerian then. Nigerians did not need visa to travel to the UK, but tell me what percentage of them travelled then? Very few, and Nigerians were enjoying in their country.

Four, stop seeing changing of nationalities (citizenship) as an achievement. It is just a mean to an end, not the end itself. Citizenship doesn't stop you from being homeless or jobless or dying poor. You need a robust, much sought-after skill sets to be gainfully employed in the western world. Even if you don't have their citizenship, their companies will file for work permit for you and you can work. You become a global citizen since any company can file for work permit for you from any country. You become their bride whom they want at all costs.

I will advise you to be consciously exposed to the global events and expand your perspective about life. Learn and unlearn.

And that "definition" of wealth is what has made 99% of bank account owners in Nigeria have less than N500k in their accounts, made about two-third of Nigerians live in multidimensional poverty.....a "definition" that has put high pressures on Nigerians, thus the low life expectancy rate.

I have made conscious efforts to disconnect from such "definition".
While i am happy for you that you have disconnected from such definition, the reality that lot of people are still plugged in to the same definition can not be ignored.

One culture is not superior to other but there is a problem when we want to maintain the african definition of comfortability in a foreign land which holds different definition to ours.

MT:
There is poverty and hardship everywhere in the world, however the international news would not report it.

Do you realise some people cannot afford 3 square meals a day in the western world?

Do you realise that in the US, it is the school meal given to students that make most of them to eat, when they are on vacation, most of them go hungry as their parents cannot afford to feed them? That explains during Covid when the US govt had to arrange for meal to be delivered to the kids at home since they were out of school and most of them would go hungry without school meals.

It is a tough environment, and sadly their countries are conditioned to just make you "comfortable" - they do not even expect you to shoulder the responsibilities of your parents or relatives or friends - just be comfortable in your own little way, rack up debts and die when death comes. That is why the whites can afford to watch Arsenal vs Lverpool match that will probably cost 120 GBP. How many blacks do you see in the stadium watching football, they will rather go to the pub, buy one pint of beer and watch. They cant even afford cable TV at home.

But we have another definition for wealth as Nigerians as it relates to our culture. We want to show off to the world, we want to build houses (not mortgage), we want to buy amazing cars, we want to live large without debt. If such individuals choose to live in western worlds, there will be clash of cultures and such individuals will look for a way to force his idea of "wealth" to come to fruition - they will most probably go into crime as the last resorts eventually.

Mostly (not at all times), that is what causes cases like this.

I came to the UK through study route, for my specialty in Clinical Child Psychology and now working as a CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Practitioner and on the pathway of achieving my UK Psychotherapist license.that is me living my dreams and wouldn't have achieved that in Nigeria.

Some people need to "japa to grow" while some would be okay with their growth in their home countries.

Basic living constitutes not being homeless, not going hungry nor getting hit by the elements because of inappropriate clothing for the prevailing weather.

If those same guys happen to be in Nigeria, they would still engage in crime because their cores are disconnected from earning a honest living.....why didn't they stop after scamming their first £150,000, meaning each getting £50,000 which is the 25 months earnings of those "slaving" themselves in the UK?
While your argument was persuasive, you could not deny that for every one like you we have over 100 of individuals who are at the wrong end of the stick.

Some are so frustrated with what they are currently doing that they want out desperately, and they wont mind what it takes to get a sizable amount of money to restart their lives somewhere else because they feel they have invested in the country as well.

Such notion is wrong and should be condemned but it is a reality.

An average african man is not satisfied with the definition of UK comfortablility (which you described in your write up). Africa culture has a different definition to comfortabilty.

I repeat, I am not making an excuse for them, my intention was to tell others coming to have a realistic assessment of the country they are coming into and lower their expectations at the same time. Few people realise the dream of African definiton of wealth while living abroad even as a professional, as the system is rigged to always "take more" the higher you go.

Citizenship has nothing to do with crime.

Everyone is a citizen of a particular country.

It is Nigerians that see a big deal in acquiring citizenship of another country. Even the whites do not see it as a big deal.

There are many Nigerians languishing in jail in Nigeria. Also, many Brits, Americans, Canadians are in different prisons for various crimes.

Being a citizen of a western Nation does not make you a "perfect" being. We just exaggerate citizenship in this part of the world.

Those guys are criminals who love stealing from others because they don't want to be involved in honest work that would pay for the basic comforts of life as they want to live large, show up at clubs, wear designer labels etc.

I live in the UK, my honest earnings do take care of bills and some investments...so why should I choose the criminal path?

How much are majority of Nigerians in Nigeria "slaving" to earn monthly?
Well if you cant see it using my lenses , I cant help you.

At the bolded, you will respond to your own questions.

It is an open secret that most people are getting by and not living their dreams in the western nations. Are you saying because you are making an "honest" living, it is enough to satisfy your dream? Few people abroad can absolutely say they are fulfilled on the job. Individuals react differently to situations. Someone that dreams to be an engineer, but working in a care home, is making an "honest" living but will never be happy or satisfied, irrespective of the money being made. That is human nature for you.

Your idea of "basic" living is different for each individual. Your life cannot be accepted as a standard for others.

If this happens in Nigeria, it is so convenient to make a blanket statement that "Nigeria" happens to them when analysing what could have pushed them to crime.

Why do you guys put up a fight when we implicitly say "UK" happens to them? Afrerall, there is a reason for every action.
