gerald09: 50 student died only few days in d North, and b4 den 42 student were murdered also in the North, and the only thin bothering the leaders in d North is if GEJ is going to run in 2015. Ladies and gents of NL these are the men Northerners are fighting for to lead dem.
Gej is the c-in-c of the armed forces and has 1 trillion defence budget at his beckon. Defence is not the responsibility of governors, even though they are tagged with the empty label of CFO of their states.
Politics › Re: Nwabueze Quits As National Conference Row Grows by mu2sa2: 7:35am On Oct 07, 2013
With more than 250 tribes in Nigeria, ibo, yoruba and hausa hav no rights over tribes. Altho the NC will just be a talkshop and its resolution will go the way if other reports, but still tyranny of the three largest ethnic groups over the other is unacceptable.
Christianity Etc › Re: Oritsejafor To Jonathan - Give Half Of Your Salary To The Poor by mu2sa2:
He should first tell Gej to withdraw his "l dont give a damn" insult to Nigerians and publicly declare everything he has accumulated. This will satisfy the public more than the hypocritical call on him to give half of his salary to charity. If he is concealing his ill-gotten billions, of what use will be even his entire salary to more than half of Nigeria's population said to be living under 1 dollar I.e in abject poverty?
Politics › Re: Gumi Warns Jonathan by mu2sa2:
Gumi remains consistent in always saying it as it is.Let's not forget that right from the onset of boko haram he has maintained an uncompromising stand against them, for which they tried to kill him. Instead of hobnobbing with Gej and other corrupt politicians to get his share of the national cake (eg. jet plane like oritsejafor & co), he has chosen to speak the truth to them. God bless you gentleman. You have exercised your constitutional right to express your opinion in a civil manner - but expect the attack dogs to react unreasonably and abusively,as usual. They waste their time anyway- after all this same Gumi was once framed up by Nigeria's malleable SSS and was held in Saudi Arabia as al-Qaeda suspect. He was released after 9 months with apologies and Saudis blaming forces in Nigeria for misleading them. This man, an ex-army officer, stand on principles and is not a mischief maker.
Politics › Re: APC Asks Boko-Haram To Embrace Dialogue by mu2sa2:
Looks like shehu Sani, kaduna based rights activist, is vindicated. He has insisted that Gej is being lied to over the effectiveness of the state of emergency. He has consistently maintained that talking with boko haram is the only way to end the insurgency in NE. The way bh boys keep changing tactics, and given the stubborness of Shekau coupled with fact that there's almost endless supply of die-hard volunteers for bh in the poverty belt of NE, Chad & Niger, will force really work?
Politics › Re: Abubakar Tafawa Balewa 1st Independence Day Speech & Pictures by mu2sa2:
I was comparing Balewa's Independence Day speech and Obasanjo's inauguration speech of May 1999. Balewa was straight to the point, no beating about the bush, no fake promises- everything that needs to be said in just half a page of a newspaper. That was an honest, God- fearing gentleman speaking. Balewa delivered the speech in excellent diction.
By contrast, Obasanjo's speech ran into almost 3 newspaper pages. He rambled on and on with promises upon promises. Everything was hot air, absolute balderdash, arrant baloney. A dishonest fellow has spoken - though, he claimed he was sent by (his) god!
Balewa - that quintessential gentleman is resting blissfully now. A most-deserved eternal rest for a true servant leader.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Meets Security Chiefs, Says ‘i’m Depressed’ by mu2sa2:
Gej went round this country making promises upon promises. He put himself forward to be president voluntarily. Now that he has failed to deliver he's giving excuses. As if concealing his wealth is not enough, he is refusing to even tell his kinsmen to stop pipeline vandalism that's causing so much environmental damage. A govt that cannot
guarantee security is worse than the worst. As a citizen if you're poor Sss, soldiers or police can kill you in numbers coldbloodedly and their boss will go and brief dumb c-in-c that boko haram is defeated give us our share of the one trillion naira defence largess.A leader that has blundered and failed in 4 going to 6 years cannot be trusted for more years in power even if he is faking religiosity belatedly to hoodwink the gullible. Nigeria cannot progress with a hypocritic weakling in the driver's seat.

babyosisi: So they should take him to Saudi to be judged?
Wherever, as long as justice is done and manifestly seen to have been done. In any case, Saudis are more God fearing.

Caleboha: Shekau challenged islamic clerics to convince the world he is not abiding by islamic injunctions, non of them did! Why couldn't they? Because there's no sufficient evidence in the Qu'ran to prove it is a religion of Piss! Outright instructions to kill, destroy and loot with an eternal reward in a holy book! With such international awareness, worsening chaos especially in Muslim countries, increasing civilisation, I foresee the END of Islam. A TIME will come when sanity will prevail and reason will be restored. It may take a while, probably a few generations more but mark my words; THINGS will be very different!!! sad
Only a mad man will reply a mad fellow. Shekau's insane and from your post it's obvious you belong in the same mental bracket.

quote author=banega] damn, not just boko haram, but on all muslims up north.. Infact, the nigerian government should go and borrow syria's chemical weapon from the U.N, before it is destroyed. Anyone who believes in islam, is a potential terrorist.. The only good muslim is a dead muslim. " Islam is a totalitarian theocratic political ideology, it is not a religion. It has not been a religion since 622AD, and we need to have individuals that stand up and say that.. "
And you're a good christian or whatever by spewing this rubbish!
Politics › Re: Students Killed As Boko-Haram Attacks College Of Agriculture In Yobe. by mu2sa2:
Boko haram will continue with senseless acts like this to show that they are stll a force to reckon with - not defeated. The propaganda war being employed by the army is counter-productive - anytime they announce boko is on the verge of defeat, boko haram comes out to prove them wrong. If this war must end the nation must re-strategize.

Politics › Re: Death After Robbery On Nigerian Diplomat In South Africa by mu2sa2:
This is not an isolated incident - many Nigerians arriving at Oliver Tambo airport have been followed and robbed. The criminal gangs are based at the airport and the police are very much part of them. When a plane arrives from Lagos they set into action. Pray you are not targeted because you cannot escape them. Three years ago a Nigerian was followed from the airport and they caught up with him at the reception of the hotel he was to lodge, robbed and killed right there. A friend who was returning to Nigeria was robbed by a policeman man in the toilet at the same Jo'bourg airport. I was curious to know why he didn't shout for help ("thief, thief", naija style)and he said he feared the armed policeman would hav shot him - and that was his first trip abroad. He lost $200 to the policeman/robber. My advice to Nigerians going to South Africa is to be vigilant- in fact, plan ahead how to avoid being robbed and don't trust the useless policemen at Oliver Tambo airport, the gateway into the country, because they are in the robbery syndicate.
Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan Should Follow Lyndon Johnson And Forget 2015 by mu2sa2:
Your suggestion is subject to vetting by powers behind the throne - pej, clark, even asari and " generals" in the MEND terrorist camp; of course the prophecy givers are very much in the equation ("god told me u are the messiah to take nigeria to the promised land..."wink. Gej is caged-in and cannot take decision on his own.

kerzakov25: if he is rili championing d cause of the poor, defenceless and homeless, then he is doing it in d wrong city. let him move his headquarters to borno state and pitch his his tent. in as much as destitutes live in uncompleted buildings in oda part of the country, they do not constitute an immediate threat to d society like d abokis. And u been an aboki wud see nothing wrong with the threat they pose becos u are a threat to the society urself
So every poor guy is a security risk and should be exterminated? What of your people who are armed robbers, kidnappers and ritualists - security forces should exterminate all of your people because they are criminal and security risk? You go out on sundays to waste your time- you dont know God, just pretending to worship Him.

hammedkola: So...?
If u you have nothing to say, why post trash? Abi na mumu?
Politics › Re: Labaran Maku And His Team Visit Aregbesola by mu2sa2:
How does one compare this twosome? Well, Maku was a comrade in his undergraduate days at UNIJOS in the 1980s. Then, he chose to wear only a shirt and one pair of trousers every day- when those become unwearable from overuse he gets another set from the second-hand market, very likely at Terminus or Katako. Maku was just lucky to have been let to graduate because SSS were always after him because as students' Union activist he mobilized students several times to protest against govt policies, including the 2 kobo increase on the pump price of petrol by Babangida. After graduation, he roamed the streets for a while with his Pol. Science degree(placed on 3rd class, but clearly he deserved a higher grade) before he got a reporter job with champion newspaper. As a student Maku's religious affiliation was unknown to many, but now as a politian he is seen occasionally at christian gatherings. Maku surfaced later as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state.
Clearly, Maku has ceased to be a "comrade" going by his expensive Agbadas and N30-50,000 a-piece Borno caps as well as ironically his support for fuel-price increase by Gej. By contrast, Ogbeni Raufu dresses modestly - simple shakura of not-that-expensive cloth. He has a reputation as simple guy, not ostentatious, and he's said to be performing excellently as governor. Op above calls Ogbeni Raufu Taliban - that's how some critics view him.
Good to see this two fellows side-by-side.
Politics › Re: NYA Demands Marilyn Ogar's Sack by mu2sa2:
I know hypocrites will label NYA's stance as politics. But they are doing a great job - championing the cause of the poor, defenceless, homeless, innocent guys mercilessly gunned down by the combined force of heavily-armed DSS+soldiers. Everyone knows that in FCT, Lagos and other cities in Nigeria poor people who cannot afford rented accommodation occupy uncompleted or vacant buildings. According to reports the building in question was being used by a large number of people - just to pass the night and in the morning they leave to do their menial jobs in town. It is very easy to send detectives to the place to gather intelligence. But our trigger-happy security forces just went there and killed these people just because they are poor. The convenient excuse these days for state murder is to label the victim a boko haram! Gej should not sweep this cold-blooded murders under the carpet as usual. Kudos to the courageous NYA.
Politics › Re: Massive Looting Going On Under Jonathan- NEW PDP by mu2sa2: 9:06am On Sep 28, 2013
obyrich: The most dangerous weapons opposition can use to bring down your government are a dissatisfied labour force and an army of jobless and restive youths. Unfortunately Nigeria has these in abundance. Just a spark of fire by the opposition and the nation will boil. Jonathan please declare a state of emergency on education and youth development and unemployment now. You are more secured when your subjects, friends and relatives are well fed, healthy and are busy working than by piling billions in an offshore account or building mansions everywhere on the globe. Doomsday is imminent. These people are more than a breakaway faction. Stop the frequent banquet in Aso rock. Get down to work. Be wise.
You are right. But the power of dissatisfied labour and jobless youth can only be utilized where elections reflect the votes cast. But alas in Nigeria elections are rigged. Pdp in particular has perfected the rigging of election - even soldiers are now co-opted. Gej does not give a damn about the strength of dissatisfied labour and jobless youth because in 2015 pdp will "surprise" nigerians at the poll and their parleys on the Bench will play ball as usual and give judicial thump up to the electoral shenanigan. Consequences this time around? Well, time will tell.
Politics › Re: How I Escaped Terrorists Bullets In Kenya’s Shopping Mall Attack – Soyinka by mu2sa2: 8:27am On Sep 28, 2013
Thank God for his life, although Soyinka has said he is not a man of faith (Does not believe in the existence of God?)
But all this grammar does not change anything - violence continues around the world. Robbers, kidnappers, extremists, politicians and their thugs kill innocent people daily. Governments kill innocent people too - American drones kill average of 20 innocent men, women and children weekly in Pakistan and Afghanistan; to the Isrealis killing of Palestinians innocent or not is virtue; nobody even knows the number of innocent lives police, jtf, sss+soldiers kill in nigeria; how many people are killed by ritualists in nigeria yearly?
The bottom line is - killing of innocent people is terrorism whether perpetrated by groups like MEND, Boko haram, Egbesu ,Bakassi boys, al-shabab, al-Qaeda or by states or security forces. Bigoted religious prejudice, enough of that - let's call a spade a spade.

Decryptor: Good One! Kudos to the Afghan Doctor and a lesson to all Taliban and Boko Haram apologists. You can't beat western education...if the doctor did not go to school and join AK-47 wielding youths to chant Allahu-Akbar and "Death to America", this feat would never have been attained.
Ignoramus. Is it the Taliban that are killing innocent Afghan women and children in senseless drone attacks?

Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Shekau Appears In New Video, Says ‘I Am Alive’ by mu2sa2:
l think the US has complicated the fight against boko haram by declaring Shekau a wanted terrorist. Shekau knows that if captured he will be handed over to the Amercans. I hav seen an earlier video in which he was praying for what he called martyrdom. The guy knows he woukd be killed one day and he wants to kill as many people as possible before they get him. Perhaps Shekau would hav seen the futility of his actions by now but with this declaration by US Shekau can no longer abandon violence because Americans will demand his head any way. Sad that many needless killings still may be recorded as Shekau rampages on with aimless brutality.
