Gombe is a nice town. Just keep your cool, you will enjoy the town. 140k in a place like that is good money and given the low cost of living you should be able to save some cool cash. In terms of security, you'll be surprised at the serenity of Gombe. I would rather live in gombe with its low security risk than a violent place like PH. Believe it or not, even Maiduguri city is much safer than most other cities in Nigeria- inside Maiduguri you don't feel any sense of insecurity.

I was a neighbour to a very prominent pastor. His church is very strict about the issue of marriage and infidelity. I saw the pastor on TV one day trying to justify why they don't allow members of the church to marry outside the church, even from other Pentecostals. A friend told me that there was a day a man came to the hospital where his wife worked as a nurse to enquire whether there was anyone who attended the particular church. When he was told none, he brought a girl to do D&C. He explained that the girl was a prominent member of the choir and she would be expelled from the church if they got to know about the D&C.
But surprise, surprise the pastor's daughter was a flirt. As neighbours we see men visiting her. They will park far away from their house and she'll go and meet them. There's one particular man, she usually spend a considerable length of time with him in the car.
The pastor preaches a lot condemning extra marital sex. But he couldn't detect how his own daughter dances around it and may even be indulging in it.

Infact if Buhari or the court were to release Kanu today the children of the police and soldiers killed will go after him and extract their pound of flesh on him unless he flees to UK, his country. They should give his case accelerated hearing so that he can be neatly and legally delivered to God for the final judgment of the murders he instigated and which are still being perpetrated, this time against igbos in their SE homeland.
