Guy, nothing against your intentions for the opening up of this thread (i understand, since your god is incapable of speaking for himself) but i think it'll be best to recommend people to do their own studying themselves than rely on the ill-conceived explanations from an anonymous online forumer. explanations relating to the christian faith is subjective, this is why we have thousands of divergent and differing theologies and denominations (even you yourself have already started clashing with a fellow christian on the explanation of all that pre/post adamic bullcrap). people should go study history (both jewish and christian and everything around that) themselves, read the bible themselves and be able to discern themselves what the crap is about. as for me, I've read/studied the bible enough to see it for what it is--a book of mostly unsubstantiated jewish historical accounts laced with a bunch of jewish legends and myths and fairy tale stories plagiarized from other prior ancient religions. only a totally brainwashed and deluded person-or a child-would think otherwise

lol. oh boy quit foaming out the mouth over mere words on a screen. what has where you work at or the model of the phone you use got to do with atheism being a religion or not? yea, you kicked some american and european asses; clap for yourself. now back to topic. you stated earlier that atheists propagate their beliefs even more aggressively and i called you out on it for being far from the truth with a couple examples of way more aggressive means the religionists have employed in propagating their beliefs. and yea, terrorism is an aggressive form of using fear to propagate beliefs. ask the jews who were forced to convert to lutheranism or be tortured and massacred (not even mentioning the modern day islamic terrorist who use fear and violence to propagate islam). until we see an atheist equivalent of boko haram, such a comparison is not even debatable. even though i've never even heard of any atheist embarking on even the subtlest means of conversion like knocking on peoples door, there sure could emerge atheists who deify dawkins or the big bang (nothing is impossible), but then again, it won't be atheism (a lack of deities and modes of worship) no more. atheism could well become a militant or aggressive "movement" (as you put it) maybe as a backlash for centuries of religious intolerance and persecution, but it still wouldn't place it under the category of religion, and i'm not sure it would be able to rival atrocities perpetrated by religious strifes in centuries past. with the way you reason, i guess those calling for a violent revolution to solve the nigerian problem in the politics section is a religious movement. i personally don't condone violence and no matter how you (and deluded christian apologists) try to twist it, atheism cannot be termed a religion. atheism being a religion is actually an oxymoron

My mentor is a 70 year fanatical atheist and he has succeeded in  'converting' his children and thier wives to atheism. At point in time he pointedly tried  making it  pre-requisite for recieving favour. He normally offer some lectures on the benefit of becoming an atheist. E.g " No luck only hardwork and dedication"
