So nobody here saw the similarities between lookmans goal and okochas goal against oliver Kahn in the 90s. I'm highly disappointed
Na wa. Which similarity. None! Okocha that dribbled from one end to the other thrice is what you want to compare to Lookman who basically did his business in one spot. I'm not trying to downplay Lookman's goal but they aren't similar.

Rather the build up from the right side with the flicks is similar to our last goal against Cameroun in the 2018 WCQ series.

So lookman has 5 AFCON goals already.
Who is our highest goal scorer across the editions of Afcon?

Osimhen, one of the world's apex striker was through on goal yet he decided to be unselfish and square the ball to Lookman.

When it got to the turn of Ejuke who is an Ekuke player what did he do? He decided to be a selfish glory hunter.

dont conclude yet oo, if Uganda wins and Tunisia wire Tanzania like 3-0 we will drop to second, but e cant happen sha
No. The tie breaker is head to head which we already have over Tunisia. Even if Tunisia score 1000 and we lose 2000, we will top the group. Na Collin Udoh talk am.

2 different coaches, sorry I think it’s an indictment on the player
Bro, I tire but my point is that if the coach knows he's that poor that he cannot play him, why invite him?
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 12:50am On Dec 28, 2025
Nwabali, it pains me to say that the guy is off his rails. We hoping to reclaim the AFCON 23 Nwabali but that guy is gone. He should be replaced.

Yeah that's better
This conceded goals table is a negative stat
We need to become more stingy in our defence
Chelle has to fix that
Last time we weren't scoring much but we weren't conceding. Now we score and concede.

I support Maduka jare. Look at what is happening with Onyedika. Nooooo. If I will not play that means I'm not good enough. Simple

Onyedika done go two Afcons now, e no see ball play. Not even a minute.

This is an indictment on the coach. Why should I invite a player that I cannot use? Makes no sense to me
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 11:50pm On Dec 27, 2025
I didn't watch the match but omo see that pass Iwobi gave Osimhen. Iwobi saw that the defender had turned his back on him to track Osimhen and quickly laid the pass by that defender for Osimhen. Na kura sense be that.

Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 11:42pm On Dec 27, 2025
For our team to be tight we need to replace these players:
Nwabali
Osayi
Bruno
Simon
Awaziem
Ejuke
Amas
Onyedika (since coach doesn't ever use him)

We need to quickly flush out these players. That's 8 players oo. I didn't even add Uzoho because for me that one is minus one

Bro
Even if you like playing the antagonist, Try playing it with sense. Go and rewatch that scene again. It was mever a handball, he wasn’t even looking at the ball. Use your head na. Na be everyday you go Dey clown around.
Basically he's joined the rank of the trolls we have here.

Kilishihunter:
He should have understood by now that even though attack wins games, defence wins titles, can he try this rubbish against say Morocco or Senegal and expect to scale through
Is it that he doesn't learn from his mistakes? Is he that he loves attacking football more than he loves victory?

Hasn't he learnt from what happened to him with Mali or our match with Zimbabwe?

How is he making the same mistakes over and over again?

I swear! If he knew he wasn't going to have any need for Akinsanmiro or Nnadi, then what the hell did he invite them for? Kuku carry 11 players only na! Rubbish!!
I don't understand how a coach would invite players for a tournament and not use them once in the tournament. It irks me.

Took off Chuks and Akor who were having very good games
What are his assistants doing! Ought they not to noticed his weakness and advise him?

The crazy thing is that's how most of the Arab world plays. It's only few like Saudi Arabia and Qatar that are trying to evolve their football that don't employ much dirty tactics
It is our North African brothers that engage in that shitty behavior. Other Arab nations don't do that
