Bro that’s one of basics and if he can’t do it as a pro when the opportunity arises I wonder wetin him go fit do If him do wetin him suppose do, isn't that all that is expected? Basically our complaints come from players not doing what they are expected to do. |

Kilishihunter: The number of times they've dribbled osayi in this game eh, and we also have onyemeachi on the other side though bassey is covering for him well May God deliver us from discovering bad players because sometimes these bad players take up space and prevent you from seeing good players. That's why I am eagerly praying for their playing days for SE to be over. I wish them all the best in their clubs. |

I'm just praying for the day Osayi will cease playing for us. He's the most ineffectual RB Nigeria has ever had. He gives me jitters |

NasirIbnLaAhad: We make other teams play better. The fear of Nigeria is the beginning of wisdom. Simply for our pedigree alone, a lot of teams are frightened of us to the core, so they come at us with everything they've got. Our posh innit boys don't see it way though. They're all vibes and inshallah. Many of them can't mark, track back, hold possession, take risks and/or stick their necks out to make vital tackles or interceptions. They don't rate themselves as highly as others rate them. They're talented but not disciplined. You have said it all. |

NasirIbnLaAhad: In my humble opinion, it's due to a lack of imagination from our coaches. They are ready to die on the hill of Iwobi-Ndidi-Onyeka no matter how inconsistent their results often are. By the time we get a solid midfield, we will start lacking in other departments. |

What exactly is the problem? Ever since Mikel said Onazi retired, we have been struggling with our midfield. We didn’t even lose the game so what’s all the noise about the striker for. Stinker in a game we won? Plsssss people should get a job if they don’t have one.
We should compile one about Lookman too cos before yesterday game he wasn’t giving much to the team for a long while. abegi If Lookman scores in the next match and Osimhen doesn't, then qualification series belongs to Osimhen, tournament, Lookman. |

EEGA: He has grown on the ball.
He is now metarmorphosing into a ball playing CB, thanks to Fredrick's partnership.
We saw some of these qualities in Frederick against Gabon. I weep at the absence of Benjamin. With him and Aina, that defense would have been tight. I am rarely sceptical about SE but I really ain't banking on this team solely because of that defense. |

WarHammer2000: In most football games, there is a commentator AND an analyst. They are NOT the same. Not to engage in ad hominem, but I would have expected that someone with your level of football viewing experience and knowledge would know this basic fact.
Oliseh went there as an analyst, NOT as a commentator. And he did his job SUPERBLY. The jury is out. You are a lone voice, drowned out by the unanimous consensus that he did a terrible job. Your attachments does not help you. Drury and Tyler and the rest of them gives us verbal pictures of the game. Not analysis running mainly on he should have, during our time, etc. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 3:43am On Dec 24, 2025 |
WarHammer2000: Nigerians no like objectiveness lailai. Oliseh provided the BEST commentary I've ever heard from any of our ex players. Complete with good and articulate English grammar and technical terms and insight.
What exactly did he say that was a lie? Was our passing not slow in the beginning? Were the Tanzanians not sitting back and hitting us on the counter? Were they not dangerous from set pieces?
The problem here is that unlike Amokachi and co, Oliseh decided to do his job as an unbiased professional analyst rather than a Super Eagles fan behind the microphone.
A true analyst should go about his business like a Magistrate in court — even if his own brother breaks the law, the Magistrate should not hesitate to send him to jail.
Unfortunately, our people don't want that, we just want a hallelujah praise singer.
The bad news for everyone is, if his antecedents are anything to go by, Oliseh won't change because of the mob's noises. Get prepared to watch the rest of Nigeria's games on mute because it will be professional analysis all the way. Commentary is not analysis. If you want to do analysis, go to the studio. Nobody wants commentary where you begin to disembowel the technical aspects of the game and blaming players and whining. At least we have renowned commentators like Drury. Your work is to verbalize what the players are doing so that just by listening to you, people can visualize the game. See as you write plenty just because you misconceive the main idea of what commentary is. |

Bossoflife25: Our defense is so bad! Osayi and Sanusi were so poor! Not one good cross from this two. Ajayi is too slow! Ndidi poor too. Awaziem will play that right back better than Osayi.
Our attack needs to take their chances. Too many missed chances today.
Overall, a good start!
Senegal is the only team that looks formidable thus far! The fact that Osayi played ahead of Awaziem and Ryan means he's likely better than them. I can't wait for the day Osayi will stop playing for Nigeria. That guy fills me with dread. |
