BS continues
Was told that am already 5cm God, though there was no strong contractions yet,but during the VE, the doctor told me dat she swept my cervix to help me dilate faster nd not long after the VE i started feeling strong contractions but the doc said it wasnt strong enough nd needs to be augmented so was given oxytocin in drip nd contractions became stronger, told myself wasnt going to scream nd shout anyhow cos av got high threshold for pain, but at a point forget high threshold ooo, started shouting in tongues, i shouted nd say repeatedly everything the doctors nd midwives were telling me in a very funny manner, well to cut the long story short,. Water gush started around 4pm got to the labour ward between 6 nd 7pm,got checked nd was 5cm dilated between 7 nd 8pm, labour was augmented around 10pm, nd after two hours became 8cm dilated nd then we went on from there nd was still forming strong small small. Was checked after an hour nd was still 8cm dilated nd i was like since 8cm dilated. So i told the doctor that i want to poo ooo i want to pooo ooo, i turned dat one to song again, so the midwives came nd checked me nd said that she could feel my babys head nd wen nxt i feel contractions i should push, that was how i was pushing ooo nd got weak couldnt push again nd then i told the midwive that i cant push again ooo, she just said just said that i should shut up nd never say that i cant push that see my babys head is here nd am saying such negative, then i was motivated to push harder meanwhile she was already using her hand to help nd all this was within split of munutes nd at 1:08am i birthed my princess nd all the pain disappeared. Baby wighed 2.9kg, the team that delivered me really helped in motivating me.
My appreciation to baba God is unending, him alone could av done this, not because i prayed nd fasted , its just his mercy nd grace, am still in awe of him, i cried for joy after i put to bed, its not my first but it was as if i have never put to bed, dats the Joy a baby brings to one. Nd i pray that God will grant everyone that needs this kind of Joy, that God of awe nd wonders will surprise u all. hop someone learns from this.

had miscarriage at 18weeks at about this time last year due to cervical incimpetence, two months later i took in again nd at 18weeks was told that cervix was dilating nd then i want for cerclage, nd during the cerclage the doc said there was little or no cervix left that it just remaining like 1cm. Nd she just tried to hold the little she could manage to get. Nd after the cerclage was told that its a 50-50, infact they said the chances are slim. So was adviced to be on bed rest nd no kpekus, so i tried been on bed rest but couldnt for long cos had to go for nysc things. But after much stress i still go bak to my bed rest. Went for antenatal one day nd was asked to come for another cerclage Dat they doubt if that other one could hold baby, so i declined nd refused though the cost for cerclage was high but Dat wasnt why i refused, i refused cos i told God nd said baba it is u nd i in this pregnancy, prayers upon prayers.i was scared but i was positive still. So fastforward to 37weeks,never knw i would reach 37 weeks. Even the doctors were surprised, though wasnt easy had gestational diabetes which i was able to manage with just diet though under the supervision of dieticians. So at 37 weeks cerclage was removed nd i thought i would fall into labour immediately but i was wrong, God said i will tell u dat i am God, infact i was wishing i would put to bed 36or 37weeks. Infact i had already told my mum to code early. So that was how i started walk ooo, long walk that when i get back would be so tired, was practically going for walks everyday both short nd long walk. So fastforward to 39weeks 5days, was just cooking nd i felt water gush down knw it was my water that just came, though not all, so i padded up nd took a little time, Went to the labour ward nd was told that was already 5cm dilated

Am a little bit bored, baby is at neonatal care unit,due to jaundice, thank God we were able to pick it on time. So let me use this opportuinity to type my birth story. Dnt knw if its long or short, will type as it comes.hop someone learns from it.

Put to bed to my princess this morning , this can only be God. Thanks mamas for the e-support. Cerclage was removed at 37 weeks but didnt put till 39weeks 5days.even though they said there was funnelling after Cerclage. Pls mamas help me thank baba God

Lessons.pls mamas in the case of retained product pls endeavour to do a scan after retained product is been removed. To be sure theres nothing more in the uterus.

Hello, presently on cerclage av had two transvaginal scan done one b4 the cerclage nd another after the cerclage. Though when one of the doctors saw that i was asked to do a transvaginal scan, he said no, that they shouldn't stress the cervix since am having incompetent cervix, that they can still check the cervix using a pelvic scan. Maybe U can do a transvaginal but not often. I think its safe Sha.

Thanks dear for sharing this experience,it means so much to me. I'm still on my drugs. I just discovered tonite that the bleeding has not stopped. I took alligator pepper and just sneezed for sometime and here comes the bleeding again with clot and something that my mum said is membrane.

Pls do make sure they do a scan b4 leaving the hospital. It is well

On the other hand the devil has been trying so hard to deprive me from enjoying motherhood. After delivery I was fine and home the next day. But I never recovered. I started looking pale,no breast milk,different complains here and there. I couldn't take good care of my baby. Everybody including the doctors kept saying I will be fine that it's just a ftm things. Last Thursday night I started bleeding with clots and lo and behold I was checked the next day and lol and behold 18days after child birth I had retained placenta. My people it's God that saved me. MVA was done to remove it. Any mama that has information should just advice. I feel much better except a little pain in my belly. But my breast milk is yet to flow well still.

Sorry for the bleeding , had same experience, was bleeding almost two weeks after i put to bed with big clots of blood twas very scary, meanwhile my legs were swollen nd face was swollen didn't knw it was serious until i started bleeding, went to the hospital nd they discovered it was retained placenta, was given a drug i inserted into the vjay nd dat was how everything came out but it was a scary experience, but i insisted they did an ultrasound b4 i left there to be sure theres no more retained Product,. Just make sure U take ur postnatal drugs including the one for blood since U loosed some blood. Am sure U will be fyn,

Dont be scared ma, i had the shots at about 22wks i think, ask ur doc about it. Just have faith. Ask questions n follow doc's instructions. u will soon carry ur LO.

Hmmmn,asked doc yesterday,he said there Was no need,as long as am not leaking amniotic fluid Nd among not halving contractions,I tried to explain,will meet another doctor about it wen next i go for antenatal.

Congrats iyabetajos, God bless u n ur LO. He'll be jst fine. Had my bb @ 33wks, wieghing 2.1kg, didn't need incubator. Some nurses can be careless at times, had lots of issues with them during my stay post partum. Pls ask lots of questions n make sure they carry out doctors orders very well.
Lemme share some of my experiences...
A nurse diagnosed my baby as being jaundiced, called a gp as d pediatrician was not around, they started treatment on d tiny dude, collected sample for test n forgot about d result. Pediatrician cam some days later n saw my baby under d light and asked for the result, den never collect am after like 3 days in fact it was like dey forgot about it, d doc had to start shouting on them na so my mama join o, dey got the result n d boy was not jaundiced. Dey just suffered my baby for nothing.
Another incident was not giving me my correct drugs, In fact I had to be reminding them of the drugs to b taken. They were told to give me gaviscon, they forgot. They were told to always dress the site where blood from my uterus was passed tru after removing the drain, they forgot, thank God the tin did not get infected. So many instances abeg.
Please for all mamas having one complication or the other during pregnancy, ask to be given steroid shots cos of preterm delivery , it will help baby's lung develop. M sure dat helped my baby a lot.

Am so sorry mamas for nt checking in. I had emergency cs on Saturday after water started leaving wednesday night. My son was born at exactly 34weeks. He is in d incubator and on oxygen. I had a terrible scare yday due to a nurse's negligence bt we r fine. i was on my feet by sunday morning . just dis headache do won't go a way. Pls i need advice on viability and if theres anything we can do to help . he weighed 1.7kg at birth. Please we need ur prayers. anyone with ideas should pls share. Mamas in the house,I want to recommend,AGNESIA product,cream,oil,powder Nd soap.used to for my baby Nd brought out his skin colour,plus may baby didn't have rash.he's 2 Nd still using that same product,though its a bit expensive Nd scarce.

Sorry about the purging,It's gud u av taken ors,I only took paracetamol and stooling disappeared,also try Nd take just bread or just garri with little or no water.

That's why i'm working round the clock to make up for what's lost. Ive spoken to dh that we have to start buying things small small now. My mum also sent me flasks and some little stuff she got at onitsha. Then one of my clients recently asked me for my baby's sex but i didn't want to tell her. From mum zaynie's advice, i go ping her sharp sharp and tell her its a boy, lemme see what she has for me

I was told dat my gestation sac was irregular nd not as round as i suppose to be, i cried nd just prayed, did nothing. Had the most healthy nd perfect stress free pregnancy , my son is now 2yrs. So dnt worry, dat is their report, wat do U want. Say it to urself nd pray.
