Hmmmm, my story with medisson, she said I had cyst and that the quality won't be good, that my only option is donor egg. I showed her my amh result that I'm an excessive responder she no gree o,how my right ovary is twisted and can't be accessed, that it's up above my uterus, I went back to omini, he said it's a follicular cyst and that the right ovary was behind my uterus, which can be accessed too, we went ahead to have a successful cycle. Please try and use another hospital in your next cycle. Sorry for your experience. mimitoosh: Hello mama,I am here with my second cycle update,sadly it didnt go well as planned,yesterday was supposed to be my retrieval day but I woke up to the news that it wasnt done cos my follicles has turned into cyst,so doctor couldn't retrieve because of the fear of harvesting just one or two which may not be of good quality.To tell you I felt devastated yesterday was an understatement,my first cycle in july,I got 7 good eggs,so this time around I decided to be on q10,vit E and C,folic acid just to improve the quality of my eggs since the first didn't implant. It's so sad that this cycle had to end this way. |

Thats very fair, during my cycle 37 were collected and 24 fertilized, we wanted to freeze and they quoted 430k for 6 months :', we had to discard them, how I wish I got a fair price like yours. It pains me anytime I remember it. I just thank God we got twins from the cycle, I don't know what I would I have done if not for God's mercy.( Fireandice0589: Thanks mama. Our hospital is 300k/yr. Thank you so much, they are always asking me if I have started feeling kicks but I didn't know why,the placenta is even posterior, I'm just coming back from scan to confirm if everything is fine cos I haven't started feeling their kicks. Thank you for your explanations, I really appreciate it. Towerofgrace: Hello Mama, anti malaria drugs are not just given or taken anyhow during pregnancy as some can pose great risk to your baby.
I had concerns about it and asked my Dr seriously before i was convinced about taking it. My Dr's explanation is that anti malaria drugs is different from malaria preventive drugs which is the routine one given in pregnancy not the regular malaria drugs used for treatment of malaria when you already have it.
The Malaria preventive drug is given anytime from 16weeks upwards not before to ensure you are in 2nd tri and after you must have started feeling your baby i.e quickening, so pls discuss with your Dr. If you have started ANC your Dr will keep asking if you have started feeling your baby move it is because they want to know best time to give you malaria prophylaxis medication, at least this was what happened in my case, if by 20weeks you still don't feel your baby maybe due to anterior placenta, they will definitely give you the malaria prophylaxis then.
Whatever you do, don't self medicate pls. |

Yes I have registered, was only given routine drugs I.e the vitamins, nothing else. Thanks mama, I will do as suggested Mizjemie25: Are you registered for antenatal yet?? Your doctor is supposed to give you at the appropriate time! Pregnant women are supposed to be given anti malaria at least twice during pregnancy.. it’s part of the routine drugs just like tetanus injection.. And yes swidar is the branded one.. talk to your doctor.. might not be good for you if you react to any of the components.. like me.. I did react on my first dose so I wasn’t given again |

Ladygracy: Okay mamas so I decided to go for scan today because I was still bleeding though not much. I also had on and off lower right abdominal pain. Please this hydrosalpinx I did not have it before the ivf procedure so how come. Please sabi mamas what is the way forward can it be treated i also have enlarged right ovary I guess this is as a result of the drugs. Sorry for your experience sis . This your result is somehow o, ( I stand to be corrected) hydrosalpinx is a fluid in the fallopian tube and is only seen through an HSG, pelvic scan does not detect it. |

Hallenjay: hello doc, pls what happen if I take clomid two weeks after my period. My husband will be leaving so I want to try it bfr e goes bak to d state. I've gone for test and doc say everything is fine, he suggested fertility blend for me but I read online it takes longer Dan clomid. My hubby isn't stable so I want to try ds.. we had two children 5 and 3 yrs old, I need to conceive now because of him. Is it okay to take it now or wait till next period . I do have irregular periods normally and my next circle may not shown as predicted dts why I want to start using it now so I can see result in 5 days time.pls suggest and help me out if any side effects dts beyond ordinary are involve. Sis, I'm not a doctor. Clomid should not be taken without been monitored because of the side effects, you are already tensed and anxiety can mess up with your cycle. Besides clomid is used from day 3, you are already in your mid cycle so the purpose is defeated. Kindly see your doctor and follow his advice, supplements are equally okay. |

Ladygracy: Thank you mama, this is just a week after transfer, the date I am supposed to do a test is still in a week, we don't know if there is a pregnancy already. I don't know if it will be too early to test moro 8day. Please is the primolut injection I was given not okay or is gestone better, the next dose is on Monday. I am just told to continue my meds. I got a weak positive 5 days post transfer with the strip, so you can give it a shot. Both primolut and gestone are the same, be taking the injection everyday for now, then the cyclogest use it anally for now due to the bleeding, when the bleeding stops you go back to the usual, don't wait till Monday dear, go and buy it at any good pharmacy, the hospital is supposed to give you the injections so you can be using them at home. Are you on any estrogen support like progynova? |

You are in my prayers. |

AwesomeGod: Hello Mamas, I decided to tell my story so that some others will be encouraged. I am 46 years. Had my 1st after 7 years of Marriage and 2 failed IVFs. Since then, I have had 3 other failed cycles. Somehow, God brought a destiny helper my way who encouraged me to try again and actually introduced PrimeCare to me. We had already run tests at a more expensive clinic for 245k against the 100k charged in PrimeCare. With God on our side, Dr Ese accepted to use the results and we started our cycle. we had 3 day 5 embbies transferred and 5 days later, I was spotting. This did not happen with my first. (that one was seamless that I didn't even remember i was pregnant and had to constantly pee on a stick to confirm) .The spotting lasted for a few hours and stopped completely. By day 10 post transfer I was peeing way too much and surreptitiously used a test stripe (100 naira ones o) that night. I saw a clear but slightly faint line. I did the 2nd one early in the morning and it was so deep. Rather than wait till 14th day for my blood test, I went in that day and was confirmed Preggy. At my first Scan, I realised that all 3 embbies took and we are having triplets. Go be praised!!! Shock, disbelief, relief ... (all join). I was gobsmacked but I know that God will strengthen me and complete what He started. God's grace to us all Congratulations mama!! Smooth 9 months journey in Jesus name. Amen |

GMs: Good morning mamas. Please recommend clinics for me, I was at A fertility clinic on the island in Lagos and I have been so down with their charge, haven’t paid for consultation and tests amounting 270,000, the bill they gave us was 4,7M for two cycles and 3.6M for one cycle, and that’s way out of budget, The breakdown for one cycle is;
Hysteroscopy; 400K
FET; 850K
iVf: 1M
Drugs 833K
Additional drugs 380K
And other stuffs I don’t remember, please I need your help! Recommend clinics for me pls
I prefer Lagos but I don’t mind traveling to Abuja as long as it’s a good clinic with drs who’s not just about money but achieving result I think some things are optional, like the FET, if you don't want to freeze the eggs no need of that, then the additional drugs, that's the one after egg transfer, it's optional too, you either buy from the clinic or you source for it outside, and I tell you it's not even up to half of that price outside. Lagos doctors I really dont know why they like inflating their prices, I collected list from them and got the drugs outside. |
