TwinHeart: Elective cerclage is not compulsory if you don’t have history of cervical incompetence even with twin. I know someone that can do it for half the price sha. she mustn’t have a history before going for it, cervical incompetence can develop at any pregnancy, her doctor is in the right position to guide her and I believe he must have checked her cervical length to determine if the benefits out weighs the risk, i didn’t have any history of cervical incompetence but by 12 weeks the cervical length was already at the borderline and as the pregnancy progresses the weight of the babies press more on it. |

So if I'm asking its because I want to be enlighten mama, i know you want the best for this baby whom you waited and prayed for, but please take it easy, i remember telling you this before, some of these practices you are doing are not good for the baby, rub or mentholatum shouldn’t be used on an infant. As the yorubas will say, 4 eyes gives birth to a baby but a thousand raise a baby, please if you are listening to all these our wonderful old mummies its time to stop it biko. |

Abokyaly: This is not true. They still do laparoscopy surgery in LUTH. hmmm, I’m not even arguing this. What LUTH does is laparoscopic test and not the surgery, except they started of late. 2 years ago a friend paid them for the surgery only for to be told at the theater that its only the examination they will conduct if anything is seen they are not carrying out any surgery, i had to call my doctor there and he confirmed they don’t do the surgery. |

greatlinda: MummyNeto pls answer me pls good evening mama, i will advice you get a gynecologist that will be managing you, a cyst of 5cm is actually small, hemorrhagic cyst means it has blood inside, options include cutting off the affected part surgically or draining it. I had this type of cyst which came back 6 months after surgery, so i had to watch what i eat, practice intermittent fasting, turmeric and ginger water, apple cider vinegar and no sugar. It went on it own and till date it hasn’t returned to the glory of God. |

And is the position of my uterus something to worry about?cc Mommdav Ekabobo pojomojo please help🙏 from my own experience, the bulkiness was caused by polyps, normal scan couldn’t pick them until i did HSG, they said it was fibroid seedlings, but when i went for a hysterescopy it was discovered its polyps..they were so tiny but very much, even when i did ovarian cyst surgery, the doctors said my uterus was bulky at the theatre. It was making me bleed inbetween periods too, which have stopped since I removed it. |

Damilolly: @Moradeyo21 Proviron is mesterolone, an anabolic steroid. This will prevent the testis from producing any sperm. He needs to stop it immediately. Are his testis smaller now? How long did he use it for? He needs to see an endocrinologist specialising in male fertility hormones. Get him to do a a full hormone panel ie Testosterone, LH, FHS, Prolactin etc. In simple terms Proviron floods the blood with testosterone which makes the testis stop producing test and LH. The testis can only produce sperm with the testosterone produces around the testis. He'll probably be prescribed Clomid, HCG and FSH but it depends on his results. Don't use any steroid that gives or mimics testosterone. Does he feel hot down there? If so, cool it with a gel pack in a sock cos you don't want the skin to get ice burns or just cool water in a sachet. wow! This is well detailed! |

Moradeyo21: Good Evening all, I have been married for 5 years now and I have never been pregnant, my husband suggested ivf. After seeing a doctor in a general hospital, he advise we do hormonal profile, scan, SFA, vaginal swab. The result are all out . please kindly interpret them for me.
Do we have any chance on the SFA. Is there any drugs that can boost the count. He has used addyzoa and proviron in the past but still same. Kindly help a sister in need. May grant our heart desires. this is really a difficult one even for ivf, except if he doesn’t mind donor sperm. Have the sfa always been like this? some medications can do the opposite atimes. So I suggest he retake the sfa when he is not taking anything and check. There is this fertility coach on Facebook ( coach kaffy) she can help him with his dieting and lifestyle, some men have been testifying how their azospermia improved after following her guideline. |

iamfertile: Good morning mamas, my baby is 2 weeks today, 3days ago she started toileting like 3times daily. Last night I changed pampas lik 2 times before daybreak. Yesterday when I went for re dressing (because I did CS) I complained to the Dr but she said it's normal. Yet she still passed the stool twice overnight. The only drugs I gave her was panda paracetamol & Nospamin just once. Pls should I be worried or what can be the cause? Personally I've not started taken sugary things so I can't say I passed it to her via breastfeeding. I'm a FTM pls advice. Thnks To be honest I’m not comfortable with the drugs you are giving that child, paracetamol for what exactly? Is baby running temperature or immunized? Biko stop it, i saw where you also mentioned giving her gripe water and nospamin, haba mama, I don’t give drugs to a healthy child oh, if you are treating colic infacol is much better and safer. May God keep our babies in good health. Her stooling is equally normal as long as it not too watery that it sinks into the diaper. |

abawoman: Good evening mamas Pls what can I do to make my 7 months old sleep longer during night. He wakes up at 1-2 hours interval. I give him pap by past 10pm then breastfeed through the night when he wakes up gradually stop the night breastfeeding, that’s why he wakes up, it won’t be easy at first, for my twins when the constant night feeding was depriving me of sleep i had to stop it, i will back one and my husband will carry the other, but we made sure no breastfeeding. They’re not even waking up becos of hunger just that their body is already used to night feeding. We gave pap atimes if they won’t stop crying, here we are now they sleep from 7:30/8pm till the next morning! If they wake up at night they drink water and go back to sleep. All you need is determination and consistency. |

Exclusive143: Thanks for the reply ma'am. Please, do you think I should try dieting and using supplements for a few months before cycling? IVF seems so absolute and I'm afraid that if I try it and it doesn't work I'd lose faith. yes please. Boost your egg quality for about 3-4 months before cycling as it takes 120 days for eggs to mature, get the e book “it starts with the egg” so you can see other lifestyle changes you need to change, dot all your i’s and cross all t’s, whatever the outcome know you gave it your best, remove every doubt and pray all the time. |

Exclusive143: Good evening Mamas, thanks for always coming to my aid. Here I come again. Please bear with me, this is going to be very long.
Hubby and I have been trying for seven years so we decided to go for IVF. I have a history of PCOS but only one doctor ever diagnosed me of that and I did several hormonal tests before his own. Now, the catch is he tested me on day 10 and day 21 of my cycle instead of day 2/3 and 21. When I asked, the lab person said that's the doctor's system. The result found an imbalance in my FSH/Progesterone levels. In the previous hormonal profile I did, progesterone was also low and the doctors recommended Duphaston and placed me on Metformin but he didn't tell me I had PCOS. The latter test also found high prolactin. The doctor placed me on Hyponidd and Dostinex. love to try. Seven years without a child is not beans at all. Sorry for the long post and thanks for your time. hmmmm your story is similar to mine! I had a chocolate cyst removed, tubal blockages and uterine polyps also removed via hysterescopy. Pcos can have effect on your egg quality as IVF is a matter of quality and not quantity, most pcos women have lots of eggs with low quality. My period was also going on and off prior to the polyps removal but its now okay. Infact one doctor told me I can’t use my eggs for ivf at 28yrs! But thank God for i went for a second opinion, i was placed ondiet and some supplements like coq10, omega 3 and macca. I had a successful cycle and my babies just clocked one. |

Tutu82: Some siblings act like rivals and you should not worry too much as this is very common. Your son might just be craving more attention and be more needy.
When he does it remove her from the situation for a few minutes and be consistent each time it happens and tell him off sternly without raising your voice,he might be upset but will get the message eventually.
When you bring her back pick him up and cuddle him a little as well as you don’t want jealousy to set in.This might seem like rewarding bad behaviour but they both your children and 1yr is too young to start punishment and reward.
It is a stressful situation but the good news is he will grow out of it. Thank you mummy, hmmmm I didn’t even see it from this angle of attention seeking, you are actually right cos he is always around me. Thank you once more, i will do all you have listed. I sincerely appreciate this. |
