congrats once again and thank you 4 replying ,pls can you tell us your experiences with omni ,d cost implications ,sorry if I'm asking 2 many questions I just need 2 find a good place in lagos 2 cycle after a failed cycle, and I hope dey dnt av an overwhelming crowd of pple
sorry to hear this. Well their services generally is okay for me, it might not be too sophisticated but the new gynae there knows what he is doing, no crowd cos it's not a promo stuff, as for the cost it all depends on your own protocol and diagnosis, expect between 1.5-1.8 for a cycle.

HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by MummyNeto(f): 9:21pm On Aug 01, 2021
Someone should tell me I am not dreaming, it's a BFP!!!
How I longed for a day like this, God I'm so grateful, thank you for taking away my reproach of 4 years. Thank you Jesus.

Thanks to everyone that shared their journey here, @ Henmaris, thank you so much, I started taking the Prednisone as you suggested here even without my doctor's permission, this was my first ever IVF, I had day5 blastocysts transferred last week, so I just checked now only to see two lines, @mommdav may God bless your kind heart, you encouraged me to go for a hysterescopy before going for the IVF and I did that.

This new month shall bring more testimonies to this family. Thank you all, you have all been amazing.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by MummyNeto(f): 4:46pm On Jul 28, 2021
Exactly, I was given an antibiotic after the retrieval and I took it for 5 days before the transfer .
henmaris:
Did you take an antibiotic before your transfer? It's supposed to be part of the process to prevent infections like this. Make sure u are prescribed and antibiotic in ur next cycle. I took an antibiotic for 5days prior to my transfer.

Also ur clinic just wants to drain u of ur money. Frozen cycle is as good as a fresh and may be even better. I am a 2time successful FET candidate and u can proceed with ur frozen embryo transfer as soon as u are cleared of the infection. U don't have to wait 3 months.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by MummyNeto(f): 12:21am On Jul 21, 2021
Thank you so so much, and I wish you a smooth 9 months journey, I really appreciate this. God bless you immensely.
henmaris:
-Warm feet very important. It was extremely warm here but I wore socks until my bfp.
-I also divided a pineapple core ( the hard middle part of a pineapple) into 5 parts and ate one each day from the day before my transfer.
No bed rest. Be a little active but don't over work urself. Being active increases blood flow to the uterus.

I also ate a pomegranate on the day of transfer and the day after.

Laugh alot. Watch comedy shows or be around people who make u happy. No stress needed at this time of ur life.

I don't know if the above points helped but it gave me peace of mind that I was actually doing something and it was a success so why not?

All the best my dear.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by MummyNeto(f): 1:23pm On Jul 20, 2021
Thank you for sharing, it came in handy, please what tips can you share after the transfer, the dos and don'ts. Thank you.
henmaris:
Hello everyone, it's been long I followed up this thread but I use to be a committed member and got alot of help from here.
I just want to encourage you all and chip in my 2 cents of what I think made the difference for me. An advice I got from someone in this forum that changed my story I believe.
I am an IVF veteran I'll say after having gone via 7rounds of IVF(FET inclusive), what else can I call myself? Thank goodness the journey ended in praise.

I got my BFP from a FET transfer 4weeks ago so baby no 2 on the way. Had my daughter from a successful cycle in 2018.
NOW TO WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY LAST 2 SUCCESSFUL CYCLE
Sisters pls and pls make sure you do an endometrial scratch and take prednisone during ur cycle. I had tried every thing until someone from here told me not to attempt any cycle without an ENDOMETRIAL SCRATCH and PREDNISONE. I followed the advice and my last 2 cycles have been successful.

NB: My pelvic is messed up, I have stage 4 endometriosis, had a hydrosalpinx that led to the removal of one of my tubes. I have multiple fibroids and my ovaries have numerous endometromas etc.
Infact I thought I was never going to have a child but here am I looking forward to baby no 2. I've ever only transferred 1 embryo every time.

I wish u all success and pray God takes us all out of the waiting room
My testimony is just to encourage u all that it's not over until it's over.

Wow, you are really doing well sis, have you tried dhea? If you need the ebook" it starts with the egg" I can send it to you, it really helped.
kemmyk:
thanks for replying, i actually did all you listed above for 3 months, infact I stopped eating all our regular foods, was eating more of vegetables, drinking smoothies, I replaced white rice with brown rice, burgur wheat eating oat in short I stopped everything totally and I reduced so much in weight and yet only 2 eggs was retrieved even with the AFC of 9.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by MummyNeto(f): 9:56pm On Jul 06, 2021
It's well dear, have you looked into your diet? Reduce sugar and sugary drinks completely, avoid processed foods, junks, high carbohydrates and anything made of flour, you need to do these consistently for like 3 months before your next ivf, may heaven answer you speedily
kemmyk:
Plss any WhatsApp group created for ivf, I really want to knw what some people are doing differently to achieve a Bfp, going in for my 4th cycle and am really praying it works plus if someone can recommend what I can use to increase my egg quantity am a slow responder and have done several months on dhea and ubiquinol and some other supplements but they had little impact on the quantity though the egg quality of the last cycle was impressive yet I had a bfn

Horlaidey007:
I’m embarking on my ivf journey but fluid (hydrosalpinx) was detected in my tube with multiple cyst but my dr gave me the option of doing open surgery go remove the affected tube before my IVF procedure. Anyone with similar experience?
if the tubes are not removed, the fluids usually flow into the uterus and kill the embryo after transfer or make them to stop growing. The tubes can also be removed through the vagina, not necessarily an open surgery so as to reduce complications, except he wants to have a better view of your organs.

HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by MummyNeto(f):
I also did hysterescopy few weeks back and polyps were removed, I started taking ocpthis week when my period started, will take the ocp for two weeks before starting the down regulation . I am taking serrapeptase as advised in this forum to prevent adhesion,
Fireandice0589:
Hello mamas. I just did hysteroscopy, and a lady told me now that based on her experience, she will advice i wait for 3 months before trying to conceive, because it can result to uterineadhesion.

I want to ask pls, is there any mama here that has done hysteroscopy too but has a different view? Pls eppp!

Our doctor didn't say to wait, but i also would like to hear from someone that has been in this boat.

Doctor only said, i should come back in two months do they can check if its properly healed, then my ivf procedure can begin, but i on the other hand wanted to be trying naturally, and the lady says its a bad idea.

Thank you so much.

HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by MummyNeto(f): 7:51pm On May 23, 2021
Mine was caused by uterine polyps, and it's exactly like yours, I had it removed via hysterescopy not too long. I also had an ovarian cyst surgery 3 years back smiley

It is well with you ma, delay is never denial. It's good you are considering giving it a break, may your answer come speedily.
MikeMichel:
3days ago l tested negative after a failed ivf cycle and just summoned the courage to speak out about it.
It's not easy, l don't break down with life issues but this broke me into pieces l cant lie.
This journey hmmmmm still the hardest thing l never wished for an enemy.
For now l will just try as much as possible to take my mind off anything around getting pregnant and focus on another thing entirely around self growth.
It is well. God will surely answer to our plea one day.
Stay safe all.

Chai, sorry for that experience sis, to think you just told me to hold on few weeks back, may God surprise you soonest.
Mummy4life1:
Dear House,

Don't go to Kingswill to do IVF procedure. The present doctor is just using people for experiment.

Wearing my maternity gown now because my tummy is very big as if am 9Month pregnant with negative results.

Picture attached.

The Doctor is even confused seeing my tummy and he said may be my thinking linked to big tummy.

Tummy in black is my present look now after failed IVF oooo at Kingswill hospital and the first picture is when I was 9Month pregnant.

Is it compulsory for them to continue the IVF, since the real person is dead?
