If you can confirm the above please cancel the test for a refund(hope its possible). I will definitely attempt that!. Yes 8 in all bands. |

bellong: @Mumzt,
If you got 8 in each band, there is no point rewriting the IELTS. The academic module can also be used. Really? Wow! That's the best news I've heard this year! Kai, wish we could get the money for the exams back. Thank God though, that 8 is golden. |

Good day everyone.
Been a very long time I visited. Congratulations to all that have got their PRs, positive assessments and all we 'expectants', may the Almighty perfect and crown all our efforts.
Had a lot of challenges. But alhamdulillah, things have taken shape now.
My husband just submitted his assessment to EA last week. We are re-writing our ielts. We found out we were supposed to write the general module. It was academic we wrote and got 8 each . Unfortunately closest date we got was 24th of march. But we're hopeful. Delay is not denial. And by God's grace we'll join the sister thread 'living in oz' by the end of the year or by 1st quarter of next year. Amen.
We can't afford to assess both our degrees but we're hoping and praying we won't need to.
Nigeria is tough, and a very little challenge can totally derail one. May God make it easy for us all.
@Mamajaz , special congratulations to you. So sorry to every other person that got something positive, i cant mention all handkes. I missed too much and can't read through all the pages I missed. But I'm genuinely happy for everyone and very glad to be a part of this family.
@bellong, may God continue to bless you for this thread. |

Rett0: If you have a degree equivalent to Australia B.Sc please apply for Professional Eng relating to your field of study or work experience... EngineeringTechnologist is on prorata and will require high points to get an ITA. Engineering Associate is for those with an Associate degree or diploma. Though some persons with B.Sc claim to have positively assessed as Eng. Ass in other to get ITA quickly but unfortunately, this didn't work for us as we were handed ET instead. Oh ok. Thanks a Mil! |

bellong: @Mumzt,
Technicians are those with diploma qualification while professional engineer has a Bachelor degree.
For faster invitation, some do assess as technicians. Once you arrive, you can practice as an engineer. However, depending on what you are doing, you may still end up doing a qualification assessment with EA especially if you want to become a "consultant engineer". Thank you so much for this clarification. May God bless you richly. |

Congratulations Misoke. Very happy for you. May the rest of the journey be fast and favourable too.
Please, i'm a little confused about engineering technician and professionals as it relates to this PR. What is the difference/implication of going as a technician instead of a professional since you can practice as a professional even if PR was for technician.
Please excuse my ignorance, i've tried to search for the difference without success.

Good evening house,
Congratulations to all who got their ITA and PR. May the joy spread round everyone of us and my you all find favour and grace in the new land.
Please for those that assess with their own privately owned companies, did you have to provide employment letter, payslips and co. Or was photocopies of cheques paid into the company account sufficient. All taxes are paid regularly.
Please gurus in the house, I need help.

OzyMigrant: Congratz Duch1020 and all recent grantees, let's all go there and prosper.
So today I went to a GTB branch to inquire about PTA...said they only issue to return ticket holders.
Thought someone here once mentioned GTB as one of the few banks that issue PTA for one way trips.
Any advice from the house? You can buy a return ticket, it's usually cheaper than one way. Then you will be able to buy pta with your tickets. |

bellong: That means you worked in the organisation till 2011?
The assessment and migration take into account experience in the last 10years which you have.
If you guys can afford to, you should both do assessment and put in EOI. The other account can be closed after one of you gets an ITA.
Since the PA came from the same company, I believe you can fine tune your experience...
Get in touch with the valuer to put you through.
For your husband, it is easy.. he should write a solid cdr and the assessment will be a piece of cake. I really appreciate this. I actually left the organisation in 2008 for the uk. The experience from 2008 to 2011 was in the uk (that can't be tweeked) but I get your drift on it. Will start with my husband's and see what can be done about mine and keep the house posted. Thank you so much. |

bellong: How many years of practice did you put in before the diversion?
Your husband...
Age. 15 Experience 15 English. 20 Qualification 15
Partner's point. 5?
Total. 65 or 70
You..
Age - 25 Experience ? English 20 Qualification: 15
Partner's point: 5
Total:. 60 or Thank you for your response. I put in just 2 years in the property department of the same organisation where I switched to personal assistant. But I have my youth service too which is one year in proper practice too. But all these experiences have been a while. I served in 2003. But the work experience was 2004-2006. |

I studied estate management too, assessed as a valuer and got a positive assessment. Since you are younger than Oga, I would advise you become the principal.
What I am not sure of is if the change of job role will affect your chances of getting a positive assessment. The Gurus will advise you better on that. I just replied. |

Misoke: @Mumzt : abeg no cover face.plenty of "us" dey ya boat , just dont be 39 yet so quick sha.lol..between 33-39yrs = 25points
wetin sweet me pass na your "golden" english score...you get a whole 20 points for that ..
That is the kind of score i need in my life right now and ITA will just fall on my head.
You will get feed-backs and advise from those that have gone through the process here..goodluck!
NB: its not exam center that will give high score o...some people are asking for center #runsaway....na joke oh Thank you! Thankfully, I still have a whole year to be 38. Thank God for the scores. Though we're still wondering if it's cost effective or advise able for me to assess to either with my degree or my diverted profession. Eagerly waiting for the gurus to look my way. |
