drafrican: @ mumzt got the visa 5yrs but the cost made me cry you have to buy at black market $800 plus pay into your dorm account and pay with ur dollar debit card.when I applied dollar was 450 it was before the dss raid that made it 400. Even with Black Friday sales any American ticket you see for $1200 or 400k is a good deal especially if you can pay in naira. Not funny o. Luckily my husband and I dnt need visas. Applying for my nephew. His parents got their 5yrs 2yrs ago wen dollar was 150. Instead of applying for same for their baby dy did 6months thinking he won't get 5yrs cos it's his 1st time going to d uk. Now they're doing 2yrs for him at a rate higher dan Wat dy paid for their own 5yrs. Sigh |

This 400 I think is a scam o. U ask all of dem dy'll tell u 400. Tell dem u want to buy, they'll say unavailable. Happened to me yesterday wiv three of dem. Sulah says 408 but not available. And dy all dnt knw wen they'd ve. |

[quote author=FruitfulRay post=51168654]Silent reader, but learnt so much. Pleas be careful with some of the agents in the UK, some buy with other people credit cards, some when you pay, that's the end. Except its your person in the UK, that will make payment for you, and know the office of the agent.
Wow. Thot of it too. He has no idea I'm in naija thou. And I already ve my tickets. He sent dem immediately and I also confirmed the tickets thru BA website |

temmyo: so no. In no country in the world does a passport confer citizenship. I stand to be corrected. Very true. My BIL was born in d uk in 1978, his parents moved back to naija a few yrs after. They neva got him his passport, not even sure a birth certificate was collected. But after he graduated from uni in 2003. He processed both n is now living in d uk as a British citizen. Even if u dnt collect d birth certificate immediately, the records are still there and can be chkd and verified anytime. If the law will b repealed, it'll take a long process and will usually start from a future date (I think) not later so usually doesn't affect pple that are already born. (I may be wrong. Just using the way UK did it's own as my reference) |

IyawoToBe:
Oh no! Someone should wake me up from this wild dream. America is filled with misogynists. I am sure they really don't like this man, but they sure prefer him than having a woman rule them
I am in shock!!! Sexism is real!!! I don't even think it has to do wiv sexism. As sad as it may sound I think it's more abt selfishness. To an extent I saw dis coming, it may suprise you to knw dat lots of immigrants voted him in. Even our naija brethren. Chatting wiv some of dem gave me an insight to some of their beliefs. Majority of those dat already nationalised didn't really see anything wrong wiv his ideology or weren't 'bothered' abt his threats. After all, dy already have their blue palis. Is it not d immigrant cbps dat stress pple d most? We were all shouting trump dis trump dat but he kept gaining popularity! No b ghosts dey vote for am na. 'Everyone' claims he's dis or dat. But wen u log in u find his followers swelling? Dats how we are generally. Let's just pray it goes well. Most of Wat he claims he'd do can't b completed in 4 yrs anyway. So pple ve time to plan and find alternatives. For d ammendment of d constitution dat affects dis 'family" it's not smth he can do ova nite. So God still got our backs |
