Gemini89: Hello Everyone! Please does one with an American Passport but living in Nigeria have to do TB Test for tier4 visa. Because on their website Americans are exempt but I want to be sure if it includes Americans living in Nigeria and applying from Nigeria to go to the UK as a dependent. Thank you. If the American has been resident in Nigeria for up to 12months, he/she has to do this test |

And if your funds are short, you won’t be called so you have to keep following up. Just find you account with extra so it can be done fast. |

Abukeke: @lagosismyhome @justwise @aprokodaughter and other elders.
Could u kindly advise if its possible to apply for visa for myself and partner at the same time and we travel to the UK with our kids who have US passports..Then when we get to the UK, we plan on getting their dependent visa later. Thanks in advance You will be stressed at the point of entry because your kids are only visitors and you are going as a student. I know this for sure as it happened to my friend. She was eventually allowed and the baby was stamped in for only three weeks. She was asked to convert his status within the three weeks. She had indefinite leave to remain and went to have the baby in the US Secondly, your kids can’t convert their visas to be your dependents while in the Uk, they’d have to do it from America or Nigeria. Which means they must leave and apply from where they have legal status. Hope this answers you. |

Good morning everyone,
Please for the proof of funds required for visa processing, is the required balance of fees for the whole course or for the first year.
It says balance of fees, other calculations are made based on one year. I’m a little confused about the balance of fees. Kindly assist. |

MamaOO: Not really. We’re contracted through Medi-Cal which is California Medicaid. My company actually pays kinda low compared to health plans in say, LA county because healthcare there is kinda more expensive.
Bear in mind, Medi-Cal administered plans actually don’t pay the providers and practitioners that accept them really well because it’s a government subsidized plan and the money paid out is based on what the government allocates to the health plan per year so a lot of these health plans negotiate the cheapest rates and this leads to why a lot of doctors and hospitals don’t accept patients with these kinds of insurances.
But still the amount paid out is much higher than what I’ve seen quoted here. Much more higher. But then, only Nigerians resident in Nigeria are suffering this. I know a lot of people living in Europe that paid same amount or even leas and got their visas renewed via Dropbox. I guess that's why most people are asking questions. If it's a hospital fraud, it should apply to everyone that paid the discounted price and not just people living in Nigeria. Even my friend in Ghana had her visa renewed easily and she paid $3500 for both hospital and doctor for a vaginal delivery. So back to the question of what our offence is. |

OmoBendel24: On the VOs thread, though I didn’t ask the questions exactly this (some bit of modification), below is their response thus far, we can go ask further questions if not satisfied or clearly understood (I myself fall in this category despite going over the HOWEVER part of the response over and over as I mostly see a pre-interview situation therein instead of post birthing).
“Hello ctrlunlimited and OmoBendel24,
Our policy is the same as it has always been. We ask all applicants to be honest about their intended activities in the United States, and the interviewing officer must be satisfied that the applicants can afford the kind of travel they are planning. This includes prospective students, business travelers, tourists, and those seeking medical care, and it applies to everyone around the world, regardless of nationality.
If you visit our website at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html, you will see that receiving medical care in the United States on a B1/B2 visa is legal. However, the website also states that applicants must demonstrate that they can afford to pay the "doctors’ fees, hospitalization fees, and all medical-related expenses". Though every situation is different, accepting discounts or paying less than the full amount can raise questions about the applicant's finances, credibility, and their intent and ability to pay for the full cost of their care.”
https://www.nairaland.com/5073097/u.s-non-immigrant-visas-listening-pt#76642065 Thank you so much for this. Like you said, this hasn't really addressed the issue. Hm, one day she. We'll understand. |

Oleayo22: Just to share about my experience recently as I am meant to go for 221G interview soon in trying to make sure I have al my receipts ready, I discovered I didn't have itemized bill for both pediatrician and anaestologist even though i had paid my bills in full. I called them and only for me to discover that in 2016 when I got a discount of 25% and I paid the bill right there and then that the person did not write off the discount but left it and so it was showing like as if I was owing. So they sent my name to collections . It took close to an hour on the phone with them to get it sorted out and they emailing my itemized bill to me. This is for those that use sheridan You might want to ask the hospital for a letter stating your name was sent to collections in error. Just to clear yourself. I had a similar experience in 2016, though not the same hospital and my name wasn't sent to collections. It was brown and associates. I was sent a duplicate bill after I had left the US. But I was able to sort it out on the phone. And I made them send a mail saying my bill was duplicated and I wasn't owing. |

Trying to get a Canadian visiting visa might be your best option. Even though getting a Canadian visiting visa after being denied the Canadian PR will be very, very hard. I wasn't denied PR o. In the pool with very very low likelihood of being picked because of low scores due to age. Just wondering if the PR status affects visiting visa application. |

Good evening everyone, I have a valid US B1B2 visa and valid 10year UK visa. I want to apply for a Canadian visa with the hope of using it for birthing at some point. Though I'm not pregnant now. I have also applied for Canadian PR before though we don't qualify because of age. Do you think this will affect my application? I have absolutely no intention of living anywhere illegally. Also have extensive family travel history. Just wondering. |
