Politics › N3.98bn Water Project: Umahi Orders Contractor Back To Site by murphyibiam15(op): 7:47am On Jan 17, 2017 |
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has directed Ganza Engineering Ltd, the company handling the N3.98 billion Ukawu water scheme in Okawu, Onicha Local Government Area to immediately return to site. Umahi, who gave the order while inspecting the water project, awarded by the immediate past administration in April 2008, expressed disappointment with the quality of work and the speed of the contractor in handling the project. “Tell Ganza to return to work immediately. We will schedule a meeting with the contractor for Friday,” he told the site engineer. The Ukawu water project and Oferekpe water scheme were initiated by the former governor of the state, Chief Martin Elechi. While Oferekpe water project was completed without reticulating water to serve Ebonyi people, the Ukawu water project, which had a completion period of two years, has remained a shadow of itself. It was gathered that the contractor, which had received N2 billion payment, requested that additional N4 billion be paid by the state government to enable his company continue work on the project. Umahi inspected the project in company of the Commissioner for Works, Fidelis Nweze; Senior Technical Assistant to the Governor on Projects, Oka Uchechi; Chairman of Onicha LGA,Mrs Elizabeth Onwe and other top government officials. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/01/n3-98bn-water-project-umahi-orders-contractor-back-site/mynd44 lalasticlala |

Food › Re: How Do You Preserve Food Without Refrigeration by murphyibiam15(m): 7:10pm On Jan 16, 2017 |
nowpresence: The deplorable condition of electricity in Nigeria has lead me to lose two soup in one week.
I cooked banga soup on Thursday evening, so I kept it in the refrigerator since there was light almost throughout that day and the refrigerator was cold. On Friday morning there was electricity light till in the afternoon and by 1:00pm the light went off. In the evening of Friday the light was restored till I slept so did not find the need to boil it and also due to the fact that the deep freezer was still cold. I woke up this morning only to find out that the light did not last up to 12 midnight because I slept early.
So I decided to check the soup this morning and I saw frizzy bubbles on the soup. I quickly started boiling it, I discovered that it has a strong smell and tasteS different just slightly from the original smell and taste.
I am so sad as I write this piece, after all the sweat I went through to prepare this food this was the result. And the fact that something like this happened five days ago, same banga soup, just annoys me more.
My question are: Can I still eat the soup without a strong side effect? How do you preserve food when there is no electricity? And the most important why do banga soup go sour easily?
Lalasticlala please come to a sister aid by doing the needful. i sent u a pm |

initialize: The believe is that if you don't work in a corporate environment, wearing suit n tie then you are irresponsible or a hustler that has nothing to offer.
The internet has opened opportunity for people to work casually and still make more. My friend with Deloitte told me he gets 180k as salary and I advice him to quit that job cos i noticed he puts more effort in this job than I do with my "hustles" yet I make more than he does monthly... tbh, sometimes, I earn his monthly salary within a week. I really wish he would be man enough to decide it's time to get full reward for his effort by quitting that 180k/month job cos I know he works more than he earns.
