brunxy: But I saw it can be rescheduled in the screenshot of the email sent. They only said it can't be changed by call agent as it was cancelled by the consulate. But it can be rescheduled. Just ask for the procedure to reschedule and try that option Thank you, that was exactly the same thing that was said in the email that was sent to my wife. |

Clairembaaaa: Hello, my visa appointment scheduled for January 25th, 2022 and I had to defer my admission to fall 2023. Just yesterday I got an email from the consulate saying my appointment had been canceled. I don’t know what to do rn, I’m so devastated, do I pay for another visa appointment and schedule a date? Cause my resumption is soon.
Please reply me, thank you I believe they will ask you to reschedule in the email sent to you. My wife own was also canceled yesterday but we reschedule it today. The initial date was March but we were able to get new date in January. |

Don't worry it is not a problem, I did the same on my ds160 I was suppose to fill the name of the school because I have funding but I fill myself and it did not affect the visa decision in anyway MelaninGemstone: Guys, I think I made a mistake in my DS-160
Please advise
My I-20 says my sponsor is family funds My family is actually paying my tuition etc
But when filling the DS-160, I saw a question that said
Person/Entity paying for your trip
I selected Myself as the one paying
I thought they meant flight and minor trip expenses
Someone is telling me now that I have made a grave mistake and it can lead to denial. That I should have put in my DS-160 that my family is paying for my trip.
PS: I have already submitted the DS-160 form and I can’t edit it again |

I thank God I thank those who posted their previous transcripts whether success or not I thank those who answered questions pertaining to school application
US Visa secured now Canada can go and rest I guess i start saving up for the rainy days cos US VISA no be the endgame..
My humble advice to future candidates 1. Always answer your questions simple and clear. Long answers are a turn off for them 2.No need to fake accent, cos it would just put unnecessary pressure and you may end up saying what you wish not to say 3. Always be relaxed, don't do like you having a job interview. see it like as if you telling your friend about your goals and achievements 4. Also don't allow those touts to exhort telling you to print unnecessary documents, the documents you need are stated already. Those guys chop up to 10k from me |

Thank you very much TEMIT0PE: I assume you mean via Public transport (danfo)? Enter Obalende Bus at Yaba. Stop at last bus stop. Then ask where you can enter Bonny Camp/Ozumba. Once the bus takes off, just tell the Driver you are going to Walter Carrington or US Embassy. |

Please I sent you a DM fairheart: While you can take the GRE test again, I have seen students with less score admitted with funding for MS and PhD. Considering the term you wish to apply, you have enough time to explore schools that will offer you assistantship--either with your current GPA and GRE score or better score. Do the school search first as that will help you determine what if your profile is fit. Once you have a list of potential schools, for example, 10 universities in states you like their weather, etc, you can take it from there. All the best! |

electromagnito: all this arguement about Phd makes me laugh, even in europe you need to get a potential supervisor for the school to reason you, reason why some schools do phd for 5years is because the mentioned student couldnt get a Potential supervisor as such you will use 2years to do some course work which is still like masters, but it is always advisable to talk to some professor from the interested department or else yout application dey God hand... best please let us not mislead people here most PhD in USA is 5yrs with or without having supervisor. I was given PhD admission with full funding without contacting any professor and I have a friend that have 3 PhD admission without having supervisor. In fact a professor just sent me a message from my school, telling he will want me to work with him |

Pefuele: Your Transcripts is good but you are talking too much. What is your plan after study? You want to lecture in your Alma Mata and be consultants to some *companies*. Which companies? Know the break down of the GRE score and the date you took the test.
You may be asked what did you write in your SOP? If you have mentioned full ride funding from USC earlier the VO may not ask who is funding your study again.
Only say one: either btech or Bsc. It shows you know what you are saying. thanks boss, I will make amendment |

brashear: You don't necessarily have to mention your friend on how you discover the school. Talk about how you made use of educational website to find schools that their faculties research area aligns with yours.
On why this school? I feel your response is not properly worded, you can do better. Also, you should add that you got a TA that covers the whole tuition and expenses, let them know it's one of the reasons you choose the school but don't lay too much emphasis on it. Just a hint. You should read pastl transcripts and see how they embedded it in their response. thanks brother, I will work on your suggestions |
