he needs someone who would help serve all nigeria's theiving leaders 'tea'. is that enough info to convince and not confuse u? by the way the result of the tea party might not fix things if we dont screen those who replace them as well for defects.

if Gani deserves a Nobel Peace Prize(NPP) what does Fela Kuti deserve? If we had the chance to ask either of them if they want this prize or that prize. NO would be the only response anyone would ever get.

so all these people making noise about him deserving a NPP are nothing but VULTURES who live off the dead.

kennyaribs:

You got iot all wrong. If Gani did not fight for more political parties to be registered, AC would not have become a party and Fashola of Lag State would not be the Governor Lagosians have been looking for.

Mandela only fought for South Africa (not Africa) to librate his people from apartheid.

The Fight For Good Governance

Ken Saro Wiwa wrote, he was killed
Fela sang, he died in the battle
Niger Delta youths picked up the guns, they are giving amnesty
Gani believed in the rule of law- the court, he also died still fighting even on his sick bed. He achieved some, others we have to continue. The struggle continues.
Aluta continua, Victoria asata

So are you saying he needs a Nobel prize or he doesnt need?
Politics / Re: Soludo And His Anambra Governorship Aspiration! by mustafar1: 5:37pm On Sep 14, 2009
Fashola's success is not based on his party's ideals, it is nothing more than decency of the man Fahola. Remember AC is the party of Atiku, Tinubu etc.

how dare you make such blasphemous statement regarding AC as it relates to fashola's performance? grin cant you see the other AC governor giving jeep to people. isnt that something. AC is the best political owambe since the price of kuli kuli went up.

Afikuyomi! Didn't picx of the party he organized in london to launch his gubernitorial ambition get published in ovation, with his Afikuyomi babes or something like that? Some names come up in nigerian politics and all I can do is suck my teeth and think one of the problems of nigeria.

Post-humus Gani Fawehinmi syciphants have sprung up! Can these people pick on fight Gani was involved in and never finished and help him finish it already. All these people where in exile hiding their heads while said man was shouting about dele giwa up and down o. They were in exile while babangida locked him up a few times o. Now he has passed and they are all on his bandwagon. Some even claimed to be in his inner circle (bob dee) yet they were never heard saying anything or seen with his shadow.

Epiphany:

Just got back to into the UK from Houston and LA. Those places never cease to amaze me. The road networks there are excellent. Flyovers and roads that are several hundred metres above ground level. . . with several levels of roads above each other. . .

Our leaders are just idiots. They travel to these places everyday and do not learn anything. After enjoying the comfort and beauty of the US infrastructure, they come back to Nigeria to terrorize the poor citizens on our narrow death traps called roads. Its a shame, a big shame

no be to pour asphalt on to mud road, use rake level am and wait to motor to waka on top am to 'smooth' am we dey call road construction for here? why are u think say once rain fall small like this everything don turn to surface of the moon withing short time.

SapeleGuy:

My guy, LASUTH was upgraded from 500 beds to 750beds and everybody dey praise Tinubu but guess how many people it is serving? 10 Million! Amaechi has commissioned a 1000 bed hospital should we also criticise him as well?

Bayelsa has a population of under 2 million. To objectively criticise you need to be familiar with their overall primary health care strategy which will be reviewed in 2010. I will reserve judgement until then. I am not saying you are wrong, I am saying we don't have all the facts yet.

what primary health care strategy will be reviewed in 2010? or did you mean revealed? cos if the word actually is reviewed, I for one would want to know what is currently on that would be reviewed that way when the review gets done I'll know what and what was taken out or added. LASUTH was upgraded to a teaching hospital, we are not talking about its capacity but what the hospital is capable of accomplishing.

assume fashola builds a 50000 bed hospital today, if said hospital is not equipped to perform basic health proceedures or support the minimum required care needed by a Diabetis patient, Dialysis patient, burns patient or even have something as basic for most standard hospitals as an emergency room, trauma, triage center. then i would be the first to call him out on it either here or in person.

SapeleGuy:

Abuja is spending N257 Billion on a 10 lane expressway - Abuja contributes zero to the national economy. How can you justify that amount of money.

You guys should try constructive and evidence based criticism. I can't condemn people without evidence.

Bayelsa have built a 500 bed hospital, and 25 health centres, an international conference centre which is currently on the 18th floor of construction, before 2007 only 3 of the 8 local government areas were accessible by road, they have built 140km of roads to address this.

All of this in 2 years. If this was Fashola - some of you would be having orgasms. Did Fashola and Tinubu not buy a $20 million yacht which is now rusting in the harbour? What have you people said about that.

Sapeleguy don come again o. so because u havent taken the time out to read the thread about the $20M ferry, yo uasume no one has critiqued it? we are not disputing the fact you present about the hospital and health centers. what we are saying is that the money wasted on that waste of cement and things could probabl build one more health center that is equipped to the teeth waiting for any patient coming in with any ailment whatsoever. or are u saying just one hospital with 500 beds is good enough for the whole state of bayelsa?
Politics / Re: Nigeria To Dredge Niger River - What's Your Take? by mustafar1: 7:07am On Sep 13, 2009
the difference between the mississippi river and river niger is that, in the case of the mississippi, most of if not all of its connecting rivers flow into it and this its constant dredging really wouldnt affect the flow of those other rivers but in the case of the river naija for the most part it has one main channel and then breaks apart into numerous tributaries as it gets closer to the ocean to form its delta. how this two rivers are replenished is important to whatever points for or against the dredging on the niger and comparing its projected success to that of the mississippi.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! i had always thot that ferry was a white elephant waste of money and brain cells. where is the bayelsa governor? lagos indigenes would like to trade this piece of scrap metal in for nothing in exchange, aka we do not need it.

if you ask me, i believe anything that is tagged PPP by any government in nigeria, lagos state is most guilty is covering something up. i might be wrong but until i can decide otherwise, i am right cos everything lately has been tagged PPP.

SapeleGuy:

Nobody is saying that some governors have not  misappropriated or mismanaged projects or funds.
Nobody is saying that the poor should be ignored in Bayelsa
What we are saying is that this poverty is not an excuse for their state house to look like 'mama basira's buka'.

Indian poverty is on a nightmare scale compared to us, 500 million people live on less than $1 a day but they are still building monuments.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article6823406.ece

There is always going to be a more worthy cause to spend the money on but some times you need to set an aspirational target for your people, celebrate their heroes. Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Big Ben fill their citizens with pride. It shows that we can do it.

Where are our aspirational targets in Nigeria?

so what hero is this glorytime castle celebrating? Alamskosko the thief or Goodluck the opportunist? if you didnt notice all those you listed are simply tourist attractions and not their governors or presidents lodge. if it had been something along the touristy line now we for fit justify this project but its not yet you insist on calling a spade a spoon for us. if the project had been the bayelsa state assembly u for get better point.

u add a link to some indian project to justify or backup ur argument. i assume you didnt read the text that accompanied the picture of the monument because if it clear even to a blind person who reads a brail verson of said text that there are people who think the project is a waste of money. even in their own case they have something to justify building it(its meant to be a tourist attraction which would help raise money on the long term like the Taj Mahal, Statue of liberty,et all) but in the case of what u r trying to justify it is a governors lodge and a fantasy of a corrupt past governor.

what Kobojunkie? is the internet also making you laugh? now i see the evil the internet is up to. i'll go to bayelsa and stand in the middle of the star of david at the government house. make my request as regards this internet of a thing then circle the star 7 times as prescribed by the clueless Gov Sylva.
Politics / Re: Pastor Adeboye Prays At UN Headquarters by mustafar1: 9:41pm On Sep 12, 2009
the internet also moved people into yahoo yahoo, the internet also moved people into stealing public fund, the internet also moved govt into not providing for those living in the country side, the internet also moved people to drive like maniacs on lagos roads, cause accident and then blame bad roads for it. Oh you internet, where art thy compassion.

Innocent people died @ Atlas Cove.

isnt that the response we get to issues on NL especially when people support actions that really cant be explained.  grin grin moreover it is never a particular regions fault for their own problems .ie a northerner would blame the south for their high unemployement and the south-south would blame the north for not having any motorable road. and the easterners would blame the west for their not producing a president.

but anyway im just saying. . .
Politics / Re: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by mustafar1: 6:25pm On Sep 10, 2009
You people should leave our able governor o. he wasnt the one that started the waste of money now. blame it on Alams and Goodluck cos he rightly pointed out he didnt start it. how else would bayelsa be noticed on the map without that star of david which the Governor so believes in and swears by(by the way, hell be on his way to church on sunday to give thanks). imagine all the non-existent shows that the amphibian theatre can host? it would boost tourism because people would rather come experience the miniature sorry excuse replica of a replica than go to rome to see and experience the real deal. u people should face ur own governor or government and leave our government alone o.

AT LEAST YOU DONT SEE THE PEOPLE OF BAYELSA COMPLAINING!

Huh??! If that's the case, then someone high up in Sony really has a thing against Nigerians. That's the first logical conclusion anyway.
