segun2king:What car model is it sir. And when was it you noticed this, did youchange your oil or oil filter lately, what viscosity of oil do use for your oil change? What was the last job that was done on the car Youve got a low pump pressure issue. But we should not just conclude your oil pump is bad. The above infos and other details could help out in knowing what the problem really is Just saw in some other thread you created that the sump and radiator was changed. You didnt state why you changed the sump? and the oil grade you used. There is a slim chance of a bad oil switch issue. And are you sure it was the right sump that was used. Abi na oga, na the same thing. I will advise that you park the vehicle and get this issue resolved before any further use of it. |
segun2king:Why would you?. Do you have oil light on while vehicle is idling? |
Make plans to change your catalyst. Does your fan run when ignition is on without starting the vehicle? Do you have coolant in your cooling system and not just water? Has your thermostat been removed? With the second code. You will be running rich. Repairs should be well advised. Get a competent tech to carry out corrections. Either of these codes won't stop your car like right now |
mrsage:. he has done the repairs for the new buyer.Make the new owner just dey cruise they go |
radautoworks:I have got one o. She is a service Advisor, at an Autoshop where I work. Motomedics Aba You will like her. |
Obierika:Plus Utility and Commercial purposed vehicles |
Originalsly:Like you stated. The Toyotas leave plenty of room for abuse before giving up. Some Client had brought a pencil light camry for repairs at the shop and I wanted to do preliminary checks before taking the job. On checking the oil level, the dips tick could barely touch oil. Like WTF. Heaven knows for how long he is been doing that. Truth is, Toyota's will forgive you. And Kazeems like us love it, it is the reason why it is being embraced by Nigerians. It will allow you remove thermostat, connect fan directly and still do decent fuel consumption. Try that with a Ford.Has a kind of reliable aftermarket parts. You don't need to do OEM before you feel safe. Sadly, The latest Models wouldn't give room for as much abuse as before. If you Kanor read manuals or recommendations, you are on your own. It would still tolerate better than other brands(From Europe and America). I just think all Japs are just great with tolerance. The Hondas, Mitsubishis'... List them |
vertueptime:My bad, sorry I misinterpreted what you wrote. You still never answer my question o |
vertueptime: the bigger tank cracked me up.How big a tank is has nothing to do with fuel consumption. And it is an l4 too, just like the hillux. You will cringe to know how much the latest model of the hillux go for. Infact in our circle, the Hilux is called the cocaine of trucks. You hardly see it up for sale, like at a car stand. Infact, no joke. I have sold an Hilux with a bad engine for 4.5m, the agent was aware the engine is gone. A 2010 model. I know there's a demand for it, but I still can't wrap my mind Around the price and the craze for it. Still the question, why does the hillux cost so much. If youv ever driven a Ford ranger, the handling and stability is better. Parastatals and government agencies have resorted to getting the Ranger or L200 to cut cost. They will gladly go for the hillux if it were the same price or cheaper. I still want to know why |
vertueptime:Are you referring to the Hillux or the Ranger? |
Please, what is the rationale behind the costly Hilux See this beauty for less |
I for one do not advise to return to factory spec depending on years of abuse. Use the engine till it gives up. I have had case of using recommended oil in a car that has been using mineral oil for years. With sludge so bad that the synthetic oil begin wash wetin no consign am, car begins to smoke, oil pump failure. My brother, the tale wasn't great. If the abuse is recent, factory reset is good. If not, Oyo ni o. Latest cars wouldn't even wait for such raping before they give up. Some will enter safe mode. I had a QX56 that 20w50 was used for oil change. Didn't even have up to 40,000 miles. Owned by one of the Senators in South South, this SUV will just start misfiring from no where. Looses power,. It will steam fine when u unplug and unplug the airflow meter. Did a scan. Revealed oil pressure low. And vvt sensors malfunction. Long and short. Oil was the problem o. After months of change change. When it got to changing the oil pump. Then we thought omor. Wa o. 0w20 was used, and all the Wahalla of 2 months was resolved. Moral . Stick to manufacturers recommendation. |
warriiboguy:A whole lot of things could be the problem 1. Bad battery. I know you've bought another one, but there are so many fake batteries. 2. A component is running your battery down. Check if all lights are of after switching off your car Your dash clock, radio, faulty connections. Check the lights in your trunk. 3. Get a technician. Or go to a standard autoshop around you |
U Danty37:Bro. It is time to forgive Loveth. Trust me, not for her, but for you. This lady would have ruined you. But God's love, and promise to keep you saved you. Your story is more of a testimony than a regret. Forgive and be grateful |
KOPT33:That which you have decided in your heart to do. Do it quickly. Goodluck |
KOPT33:Personally, I feel you have made up your mind. But I will try to convince you. Do you think it was your hard work that got you this far? God did bro. And you need to start acknowledging him. Have you tried putting your self in your sister's shoes?. The heartache she's currently going through? Her life is shattering right before her eyes and you are shouting due process. Who made you a good mediator. Obviously others have tried, but it you are her last hope. Maybe just maybe she and the love of her will get back if you step in. Forget the they didn't let me know. If you were nothing. Would it have mattered. Now you are something. Make it count by thinking about your Sister first before customs. Customs change brah. We define what the norms should be. Before slesor. They killed all twin babies. It was customs to. But she changed that. In the interest of humanity. Think about your sister first bro. She's family. Her happiness is more important than your ego. It is time to let go and let love lead. Now step into that situation and save not your sister joy but your nieces and nephew. Don't let the past define you bro. Think about now. Think. |
HeyCorleone:To sound intelligent you denied the truth. I bet u are one Bible believing individual. How did you get here and missed out on your first love. Repent. Jesus still very much loves you |
Take time to cry bro Let the tears flow freely. Cry cos dad is gone. Remember memories you have shared and how good he was and cry even more. Like you are doing right now. Share your feelings with a pal that can share of the pain. Don't hold back the tears while sharing. Tears have a way healing broken hearts. It is nature's way of letting out your pains. No it doesn't mean you are not strong. It means you are ready to let go My condolences bro |
sooperrescue:Haha. I could bet it that even then. You were a t-ush roadside mechanic. Emi gan fe wor street bayi. I am a service adviser in a cooperate autoshop here in Uyo. There's nothing like being t*ush and being able to get hands dirty. That combo is rare Learnt so much from this thread. Keep up the good work sir |
MrHenri:Your challenge started with buying a used tyre. I still seem not to figure the logic in buying them. Like oyinbo stopped using them cos he knows he needs a replacement. Then like sooperrescue said. Check and confirm if you're using the recommended tyres. From experience, not everyone knows how to balance wheels. It is not supposed to be rocket science. Yes, having the right tools and machine is a plus. But if you don't know, you dont. To be fair on all Kazeems, which I might be ranked as one. That dont have the super duper packaging like oga sooperescue. In which whatever he tells you, you believe him and trust him enough to do the right things. Infact, shey u fit argue with big man? But you go get mind they tell kazeem wetin him go do. Get mind go market go buy parts yourselves even at higher cost. Then you start with your supervision, as if you've ever loosed the bolt of your tyres before. What are you loosing there, why are you hitting my car like that,Then have the mind to tell him youve spent all your money. Joor manage this. Argh! .. Yes, I put it to you. You are not God fearing. What's all this my rant for sef... na small small. I will soon b like my oga sooperrescue. So bro. Go and buy original recommended tyres. Not double king o. Then do wheel balancing and alignment. No give kazeems o mbok. before them go cut your height control sensor. Thinking oyinbo is stupid. You should be fine. There is nothing wrong with your rims Since you never had this issue before the tyre change. |
alexDBaberian:Okay |
aledbaberian . Mbok no vex o Have you ever bought an iPhone with your money in your life b4? We can now talk after answering this question. |
LydayBobo:Neither do i When you change your tyres, do you balance the wheels and do alignments? Tyre wears is a common problem with the optima from 013/ 16 models. You are required to do tire rotation and alignment every 12,000km. plus every time you work on your suspension Maybe you saw my reply in a different light, was only trying to proffer a solution. Peace |
LydayBobo:Go and do wheel balancing and alignment |
portside:Good to know boss Enjoy your ride and change oil often. Every 3000 miles preferably. When TESLA reach naija, with enough charging stations you can say good byes to IC engines. Be good boss |

Bro How far with your ride |
This one na London used jet o... O. Sorry, nigerian used. See the seats |

You are changing just this o. not the whole section Buy a new one, remove the old one to serve as sample, most part dealers don't know which is which ![]() And dont do over sabi customer , tell your mechanic to source a new one for you , You should trust him enough to do the right thing (he seem like a good guy that is careful not to help you spend your money )He will get it from stores that deal in Honda Parts Gracias bro
