NYSC › Re: Congratulations To 2013 Batch C Corpers As You Pass Out Of NYSC Scheme Today by Mutuwa(m): 4:36pm On Oct 16, 2014 |
*from palm wine tree I read this to our dear corps members* Words cannot adequately describe how happy I am for you on this day, month and year. The journey through life is one that nobody goes through alone. Whatever you may have accomplished was indeed achieved only through the combination of the supremacy of the almighty and your personal drive and motivation, and also the love and support given to you from the people around you. Therefore, I must remind you to always acknowledge and hold with high esteem, all those that have been so instrumental in your bring up to where you find yourself today. Most importantly, you should always be grateful to "the almighty" for keeping you up and healthy up and till this moment. For am sure you have deceased friends, families,or close loved ones whom you dearly miss and wish they could share the happy moment with you,BUT cannot be brought back.May the almighty grant them peace wherever they are. The Youth service months will always have been a very unique period in your lives. You may feel excited or even overwhelmed at the prospect of "finally being finished".However, though the society may now consider you as fit and proper, but you must also be conscious of its ill dynamism and be able to keep your head up and out of the copious immoralities which have grown so very wide and large in our horizon. Finally keep remembering your purpose in life and try to see you go great guns towards the actualization of such envisaged purpose. Congratulations,I really appreciate you all. |

Kissbliss: well, brother, your case is quite familiar. Actually it happened to my brother. The most likely outcome of such incident in a guy is addiction to sex. They got a taste quite early in life and from someone older so that gives them skills and boldness. Only few shrink from women after such event Hmmn..your fortune telling is quite good. |

Politics › Re: What To Do When Arrested by Mutuwa(m): 9:39am On Oct 12, 2014 |
OshovieWilliams: Arrests are not asked for but certain unfortunate circumstances might lead one to getting arrested. When arrested by the Nigerian Police, it would be important to know what rights you have and what boundaries the Police shouldn't cross. Here they are: 1. When arrested, you have a right not to say a word or answer any question you are asked until you have consulted your lawyer or an important person-section 35(2)
2. You should know your offence within 24 hours- according to section 35(3); section 36(6)a
3. You should be released, unconditionally, if after 2 months(in detention) you haven't be taken to court- according to section 35(4)(5)
4. If it's discovered that you were unlawfully (falsely) arrested and detained, you are entitled to compensation and public apology from whosoever ordered your arrest or arrested you- according to 35(6).
But it's important to know that all these wouldn't apply if your offence is a capital offence (you are accussed of kiling someone)-according to section 35(7)a. And if you're a memeber of the armed forces, the law only ensures that your detention doesn't exceed 3 months-according to section 35(7)b.
But it's always best to avoid being arrested; by staying out of trouble. oga lawyer...thnkx..but your conclusion is the most requisite of the literature you put out.In naija,NPF will always bend d rules. |

Misogynist2014: She sounds like someone suffering from trauma. Feel nothing for her but pity cos she's gone through a lot. @suregurl Women are expected to outperform men in schools cos they have ability to memorize and learn fast, unlike men who critique teachers before accepting any data. Educating a woman is like making a woman a overlearned bitch, who produces nothing but shìt in return. Have you learned of pay gap in USA? Its because men are considered more productive per bcunit wage. If a woman should learn, she should stop at degree, except if she's 'exception-ally' brilliant. What separates a man from woman is not academic brilliance but 'common sense.'
@carefreewannabe I think you agreed with my post on polygamy. Qualified answer...its a product of prolonged wash too much t.v etc. |

suregurl: Gone are the days inwhich girls-child are deprived of the opportunity to go to school. Those days inwhich educating a girl-child was seen as a total waste as it was believed that sooner or later the girl-child will leave her father's house for her husband's house, in her husband's house, she has the responsibilities of taking care of her husband's house, children and his other properties in his absence (otherwise refers to full house-wife), while others performed the responsibilities as an house-wife and also engaged in trading/farming/fishing and the likes. It was formerly believed that boy-child have better academic intelligent compare to a girl-child, ''i don't know where they get the believe from''. The fact that girls who are naturally and always challenged by the boys does not mean boys are more blessed in academic field. Girls as being more intelligent when they have the opportunity to study together with the boys. Their academic abilities are discovered when they have this opportunity. The girls wil be able to prove to the boys that good academic ability and experience have nothing to do with differences in gender. Boys can claim excellence in physical ability but not in mental ability. When a boy and a girl have been given the same educational opportunity, operating in a healthy competition , the society will do away with the old woman's slogan ''boys have better academic excellence than the girls''. Feminism and television in the 21st century... Sha u try A de bi a hankali.. |

Islam › Re: The Last Sermon Of Prophet MOHAMMED SAW by Mutuwa(m): 5:46am On Oct 09, 2014 |
daisy123: PRESENT HERE TODAY.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) shall henceforth be waived…
Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.
O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.
O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray. All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people”.
