MsDelilah: In terms of styling, in my opinion, the W140 is way more beautiful than the LS. The LS has no presence on the road. I almost never notice them, while I can spot an S class from a mile away, and I have never been impressed with the looks of an LS. When I see a W140, I look at it and think "This sh*t is impressive". The Beast has a Majestic presence. Why do you think they call it "The Beast"?
As for performance, the S500 does 0-60 in 6.1 and the Lexus does 0-60 in 6.3 according to both company websites. The S class handles better. The S is better as far as performance is concerned.
The Lexus LS is extremely comfortable, I've been in a fully loaded one. But I wouldn't say more comfortable than the S. Have you placed your a** in the seats of the S class? Holy Moses! Or maybe it's just mine!
Your last comment makes me wonder the type of weed you've smoked this year... "but every maker too get fact that Benz will only dream of". Really??
And no, I'm not saying this because I'm a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast. fatality... |

Kemperor: - An NGO has claimed that about 2,000 igbo youths have been killed by the Nigerian army
- The group claimed the killings were done under the guise of rule-of-engagement
A non-governmental organization, Campaign for Democracy (CD), has claimed that no fewer than 2,000 Igbo youths had b[/center]een killed by the Nigerian army under the guise of rule-of-engagement.
The group, therefore, called on the United Nations (UN), International Criminal Court (ICC), the United States, other world bodies and their leaders to take note of such ‘man’s inhumanity to man’ being meted to defenseless Nigerians, especially the Pro-Biafrans
In a statement issued Wednesday, January 4, in Onitsha, Anambra state, by CD’s national publicity secretary, Dede Uzor, he noted that the massacre of over 800 Christians in Southern Kaduna required a thorough investigation to unmask the brain behind such cruel act.
Uzor called on the national assembly to include members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Igbo youths as members of the panel that would probe the recent killings in Southern Kaduna.
The NGO group opined that if the national assembly resumed from both the Christmas and New Year break, it would be ideal to include all pro-Biafra groups and Igbo youths in the panel, to avoid being lopsided.
Uzor added that the vow by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to set up a high-powered investigative team to ascertain the circumstances surrounding such a high volume of killing of Christians was a step in the right direction.
The statement further noted that since the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, IPOB’s national coordinator; Benjamin Onwuka, leader of Biafra Zionists Movement (BZM) whose over 100 members are currently languishing in various prison custodies, and other Igbo activists, no fewer than 2,000 Igbo youths had been killed by the Nigerian army, under the so-called Rule-of-Engagement.
Uzor said: “It is on record that two years of President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership has witnessed the highest number of killings of innocent Nigerians than the previous 17 years of uninterrupted democracy and past military administrations put together.”
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has raised allegation that President Muhammadu Buhari has a secret detention centre managed by the Department of State Services (DSS).
In a statement, signed by Emma Powerful who is the spokesperson of IPOB, he said the detention centre was being used to coach foreign witnesses who will testify against Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra when he appears in court.

I own one of those engines, it still steams and drips water every morning. you just took this facts out of my mouth, with a fishing line of course I drive a c240 with a high mileage but mhen,e de move as if na new.and guess how much the engine costs? 60k coz no one buys it,coz it rarely spoils save for negligence and other acts of GOD. with the money of a brand new JAP,better do a toks Benz. and save the rest. |

PAQ: BENZ's and BMW's are great cars but with rubbish second hand value! i wonder why, even the latest models... and i am not just talking here in Nigeria even abroad. pin it on maintenance. Nigerians are used to Japanese cars whose spare parts are affordable, but substandard. Thats is the theory in Nigeria, that "fairly used spare parts are better than new ones" that's coz the new ones are knock offs. then fuel economy is another factor, which is akin to Nigeria's to economise fuel. The star and the bavarians are sporty in nature, even the 4 plug of a star that carries a supercharger works like a v6. In a year, with the rate of sub standard spare parts, one may repair his Jap maybe twice or three times, but an expensive german part can take you years(s) though wear and tear may play a role. |

victorazy: Ur correct.
Mechanic told me that some even use up to 3 plugs to drive a piston but on the same coil, wow!.
This great idea will let no room for fuel escapes making it less fuel consumption as their will be complete combustion which will boost the efficiency. as small as a C240 is,it has a fantastic drive and wonderful kick down.but people unaware think just because, they all look the same 230,240,280 etc they assume the performance is same as well. |

The W140 is my favourite Benz. The first time I read about it was in 1997, after Princess Diana's death (that was the car she had the accident in). I have so many videos of the W140. It's such a safe car. And the features... DAMN!

ganye1: This is why it is good to listen to both sides to a story. The secretary told their story and non of the comments above has shown any sympathy to their loses and this attitude is the general way Nigerians treat issues of attacks on the Fulanis. Attacks on the Fulanis largely go unreported by the Nigerian mass media. The secretary mentioned specific attacks on the Fulanis, the loses they have suffered as a result and measures they took to avert crisis but all all have been ignored. The people of southern Kaduna should take actions that are geared towards restoring peace to the area and not listen those calling for retaliation because if it comes to fighting the nomads clearly have the advantage. This is what they will never believe, but is a fact apparent. |
Romance › Re: I Love Him, He Doesn't Know That I Do, And It's Killing Me. by Mutuwa(m): 8:19pm On Jan 01, 2017 |
rdouc: It all started like a crush when I was like 12 years old, but now am 27, we attended the same church back then and till now, did some activities together, I thought it was just some passing feeling, then I got into the university, met some guys (though never dated them, just friends) still the feeling won't go away, I some times pray to God about it to remove the intense feeling (lol, funny but it's that serious)when ever his face flashes on my mind. At times I avoided him totally, I don't even call him, still the feeling persisted. Then Him on his part, showed some signs of care but later it went dead till date. Then he got a job and relocated. But each time he comes around to visit his family and attends church, and I get to see him hmmm I battle the feeling afresh in an intense phase, it has even affected me dating other guys, it's like a part of me is locked out, hanging and waiting for him to come around and boldly say the magic words or at least ask me out. Note: we aren't that close at all, just hi hi, we don't even gist deep, so I don't know a thing about him, but what I don't get is why it's taking so long to get over him and move on. I don't wanna appear cheap by poping the questions first, it will kill me more if he says he isn't feeling same way or that he has some one else. Pls what should I do? Is it love or infatuation? |
