Family › Re: Nailed!!....reason Why Married Men Cheat And Will Keep Cheating by Mutuwa(m): 7:28pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
KAHNUL: Its obvious that 99% of Nigerian married women are faced with the problem of cheating husbands, some women think thier husbands dont cheat bcuz they haven't found out about his infidelity. Now the question is WHY??. After many years of studying this trend, i found out that the problem lie on the part of the women. WITH THE HIGH PREVALENCE OF OBESITY AMONG AFRICAN WOMEN, AN AVERAGE NIGERIAN WOMAN GETS MARRIED AT THE AGE OF 25-35, GIVES BIRTH AND IN THE SPACE OF TWO YEARS SHE BECOMES FAT AND SHAPELESS. SHE DOESN'T BOTHER ABOUT LOOKING GOOD FOR HER HUSBAND, PUTS ON WRAPPER ON REGULER BASES AND THIS KILLS THE SEXUAL BOND. THE BEAUTY QUEEN YOU MARRIED SUDDENLY TURNS TO SOME FAT UNRECOGNISEABLE WOMAN. MEN ARE ATTRACTED TO LOOKS AND WILL DEFINITELY FLING WITH THOSE SINGLE HOT LOOKING WOMEN OUTSIDE... And some person erroneously wrote to me,that cheating amongst men is a disease. But failed to state if same cheating amongst women is not. This is just by the side anyways.. Every gender may cheat once occupied with the opportunity and a cheating mindset. This is why there is a superior being that will judge us all, someday. |

In the world of relationships, the first person to call it off and treat it as off,is the winner.
A guy would only go through the aforementioned if he was jolted.what becomes of the girl, who was jolted in the first instance?
I think theirs would be more devastating than what the guy would do to create an impression of glee and moving on,because women are govern by curves of emotions and can do anything stupid to achieve a goal. |

MsDelilah: Error! He's a married man, with FOUR children. Seems he's suffering from Sienaism, a disease whereby you're married with children, but you keep running after ladies.
He should do that with his wife! The annoying part is, I'm not even close to him to warrant such. Out of 1000 married men 999 would run after ladies outside wedlock. It has been a norm and would continue to be one.So it is an error to tag it a disease rather,a nature or habit.besides the word Sienaism is meaningless outside and within your contexts. I may be willing to learn if you can prove its meaning. |

MsDelilah: I understand that. It doesn't matter what he saw. That was violation of privacy. That's why I always try to minimise any form of familiarity in the workplace. I'm cordial, but not friendly with colleagues. People tend to overstep their boundaries. Familiarity breeds contempt.
I didn't need his apology. I just gave him a piece of my mind. Nice one. |
Career › Re: What Would You Do If You Catch Your Boss Snooping Through Your Phone? by Mutuwa(m): 10:35am On Dec 11, 2016 |
MsDelilah: I recall sometime ago, during one of our Weekly Sales Conference Meetings, I caught my boss going through my phone. I had left it on the table. I was really paying any attention to it.
I looked up, and saw him holding my phone. I asked him to give it to me, and he started struggling to quickly close what he was doing. I snatched the phone from his fingers, to find out he was reading my WhatsApp conversations.
I was livid with rage! I told them to suspend the meeting. Then, I told him off, in the presence of junior staffs. At that point, I didn't care if he was WAY older than me, and he was my superior in the office. I threw all that out the window!
I've noticed some things with most elderly people. They feel, because they are older, they get a free b*tch pass. They feel, because they have grey hair, they should be respected automatically.
It doesn't happen that way. Respect is reciprocal. Till I left the company, he didn't have the balls to look at me directly. My HR said I may have overreacted.
What would you have done?
For a female,I may react just like you did,if and only if I had anything of a clandestine nature.if not,I will simply pretend I didn't see him and quietly address him one on one for trespass. In Africa, the norm is that the aged don't make mistake.they are right even if wrong and would never apologize even when apparently wrong, especially if you address them in the open.they may be apologetic if it's done between you two. For him to have gone through your phone,he may have had something for you, which before he expresses,he would want to know what your social activities are like. kind of friends you chat with, your chat content, male friends etc,so as to know how to initiate the right conversation which will easily lead to whatever he want to achieve with you. |

Romance › Re: Why I Won't Marry A Lady that Can't Cook by Mutuwa(m): 12:03pm On Dec 10, 2016 |
KissChrix: Two things I don't like : An over dependent Lady and a Lady that doesn't know how to cook
For a Lady not knowing how to cook, one or more factors must have come into play. It's either : - She has been cuddled and fed all through ..... Something which I personally dislike -She was never taught how to cook and therefore just figured that teaching Herself something so necessary and worthwhile was just not ... well ... worthwhile. -She was and is still too lazy to learn how to cook
Just one question before I proceed : How can someone in this modern day and age navigate life without ever learning one of the most fundamental, useful, and creative skills known to man?
Well, I won't mind if a Lady can't cook, but is willing to put in the required effort to learn. What I do mind is a Lady not knowing how to cook, but refuses to learning and suggests hiring a maid or living off take-out food
Sure I can cook a bit, will learn new recipes and will cook when She's inconvenienced, but why turn it into a full-time job or hire a maid when I have a wife? If She doesn't cook for Me, what then does She have to offer?
Think about this for a second. If you have reached the age of 25 and you don't know how to whip up a decent meal for yourself, what do you think that says about you as a person, much less a potential relationship partner? Does it indicate that you've just been so busy with your education and your worklife that you haven't had the time to learn to create a basic dish for yourself to eat?
You might hate it. But if you do hate it, then it's my opinion that you lack a certain type of romance , plain and simple. Cooking requires heart. It demands that you give a damn about someone else, the person or person(s) you are cooking for
You might as well say : " Well, I don't have much heart or interest in fundamental things that show people I care about them!" If you want a guy to bend over backwards for you, be willing to do the same for him. Learn how to cook for Him This is why I rarely allow my wife travel. FOOD factor. Talk more of marry one that can't cook. |

Qummie: So I have been away from NL for some days and I just got back. I saw some threads where people were complaining about tribalism and I decided to finally bare my mind about this issue. Some of the things I've noticed on NL are:
•Most threads don't start out as a tribal war. Most threads are just what the op feels about a specific tribe which we all are not obligated to agree to. But when someone else feels their tribe wasn't complimented enough or at all, they will tag it "tribalism" then others will join the movement and start a war.
• Tribalism means different things to different people and at different times. If there's a thread that states "why Fulani women are the most beautiful women in africa", the yorubas may find it tribalistic. If a thread states why "Yorubas are the most intelligent people in Nigeria", Igbos may find it tribalistic as opposed to if the thread was "Igbos are the most intelligent people in Nigeriq".
We all have to understand that this is an open forum and everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. We don't have to agree with the opinions of others but we shouldn't be so quick to fly the tribalism flag because we don't agree with people. Let's see threads as what they are (the op's opinion) and not as a sign to begin a tribal war or insult each other. #Peace Two young boys were having a confab on "what will you do if you find N50 on the ground".Mind you this was just theme of discussion amongst two good friends. One of them opined that if he finds such note,he would only give the other friend N10. This discussion escalated to fisticuffs.Along the line, the dad to the aggrieved one was passing by and made inquiry on what instigated the altercation. As he was told he also joined in beating his child's friend, for planning to give his son N10. Moral: Life is difficult but more difficult if one is stupid. People who read not to understand, but to reply even when the reply doesn't make sense are indeed stupid. Tribalism is an inferiority complex. There is no best or perfect tribe. We all have our dark and bright days. |

dbiljmer: Hello Nairalander Am in a dilemma on the proper way to do this... I have a friend(a lady) a very cute and brainy one at that but she has an issue i guess she's unaware of which is some offensive odour emanating from her... The odour gets worse as a function of time... e. g in the morning it's not as offensive as leta in the day or atimes vice-versa... We happen to be a little close, i did made a promise to take her out(for lunch) sometimes ago... But when i met her as planned, the odour i heard put me off... It was very thick.... She asked why i did that, i gave some flimsy excuse... Now my question is, Can i inform her about this? If yes, what's the proper way of doing so without hurting her feelings/ego? or do I just ignore? Just tell her and that is it.The truth is always the truth, even if you decide to circumlocute about it. NB: if you still can't,hook me up let me do so |
