Federal Appeal Court to Commence Sitting In Awka, 5th February, 2020

A division of the Federal Court of Appeal in Anambra State will commence sitting on 5th February, 2020.

Governor Willie Obiano made the announcement during a working visit to the proposed court premises, in Awka.

Recall that on the 6th of December, 2019, a delegation from the federal court of appeal, led by Justice Doban Mensah, visited the State to inspect the facilities provided by the State government, afterwhich they gave approval for the establishment of the court.

The roof in the proposed main court building has been changed, while work men were seen putting tiles on the floors.

~ insists on the 2020 completion of the projects.

ICC AWKA: The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano on Monday 20th January, 2020 embarked on unscheduled inspection on the construction work at the International Conference Centre, Awka.

The about 10,000 capacity Conference Centre is expected to be completed and commissioned in 2020 in line with the demand of the Governor.

His Excellency was accompanied by the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Arch. Michael M. Okonkwo, the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engr. Marcel Ivejiofor, the Chairman Chief Executive, Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Barr. Chukwunweike Francis Maduekwe, MD, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Ven. Amechi Okwuosa and few others....
