Three years ago, there was a major protest in Nigeria, it was called EndSars. It was a protest against a wing of the Nigeria Police which was responsible for countless harassments and human rights abuses.

The events of the Endsars protest are still fresh in many of our memories, but obviously, many people seem to have neglected the truth and have chosen to alter the scripts. I won't talk about the alleged Lekki toll gate massacre which no casualty has been named.

People stuck to narratives that appealed to their sentiments. While many kept hurling unproven allegations at Tinubu (he sent hoodlums to disrupt the protest, and he sent soldiers to massacre people at Lekki toll gate...)they referred to Tinubu as the villain. Normal, we are used to seeing Tinubu being accused of issues that are not even remotely having anything to do with him. Tinubu had no case but was vilified while Peter Obi who was supposed to be a villain was excluded.

Awkuzu SARS

I recall the dreaded Awkuzu SARS. Back then in Anambra, there was a common saying that nobody goes there and comes back living or even dead because the body won't be found. Other SARS units were like saints compared to Awkwuzu SARS. We had Opkuno SARS close to us, but nobody was scared of them. They were known for grabbing people randomly at night and obtaining 5K each for their releases - "I follow or I no follow". We were rather scared of a faraway Awkuzu SARS that is likely to take one's life instead. The terror reign of Awkuzu SARS was mostly during the administration of the white-washed "saint" Peter Obi.

They dared to perpetrate such crimes because they had authorization from the governor (Peter Obi).

Despite Peter Obi's past antecedents, the youths found a messiah in him. The same man that used SARS to kill many youths during his regime. He even declared a shoot-at-sight on MASSOB members

To start with, Awkuzi sars has no correlation with end sars, end sars only started was for the end to police brutality the to end bad government, it was not a call to stop police from dealing with criminals. No state governor was accused of Sars highhandedness, Lagos state government and Tinubu only came to the discussion because of the shooting at Lekki and their stand thereafter. No state government where those sars operated were mentioned since sars is under the supervision of the federal government and Tinubu supported the stance of federal government with respect to the clamped down of the protesters.

I campaigned for him in 2007 and 2019 , I do not hate fulani, in short, I have many of them as friends but there is nothing more desirable than peace.
