I had always sought for answer to the below question:
How do you to silence a crowd 100,000 people in a stadium?

My Answer: Just make yourself worthy of adherence, then ask ''let us pray''
I think anybody who comes to a gathering of such crowd must have a God he prays to and will give minutes of silence to honour him.
Please i need your answers too... undecidedI had always sought for answer to the below question:

Politics / Nigeria, Our Country. by mydearfrancis(m): 7:28am On Jan 05, 2014
It's a sad feeling to see a proclaimed nation- Nigeria, once known and called by some as the Giant of Africa and to others the Dream country of the continent. I guess that has changed now,
Over the past years we have seen this great nation crawl on a flat move! No concrete dividend of democracy rather it's been a case of autocracy at different level. A country once known for peace and humour is now known for otherwise. Unusual cases now rock the nation. We now hear news of people been arrested for crime, but now news of their prosecution or punishment and authorities meows when enquired. The system can afford to keep students at home for over 90 days because someone paid for it, ironically, it looks as if it was for the good of the system. After all the Present Government has shown incompetency, What a shame! Many youths has gone to sleep in their mind. Some who are even in class are been thought unusable basics as a distraction, to pave way for the leaders to continue their politics of the day! The unemployed has relent to violence, some have become touts, some have made up their mind to decrept the society, others have taken their annoyance to social media, but who reads them! Don't you know some individuals are paid to post daily tabloids to hide the real story from the masses. In some states Big screen TVs have been installed on street peripheries to show footballs, distracting our dear youths on weekend cos that's when they have time to gather politically. Though they'll say is dividends of good governance, don't be fooled. I feel sad when i listen to some of these Nigeria leaders, they say things they don't do because no system holds them accountable. Corruption now headlines the daily mews papers! Strange letters has become points of debate for analysts! This article might even be ignored because it's not from former head of state.
Beloved youth, is time to rise, is time to define a vision for nigeria! Am tired of seeing Nigeria, our country administrate products that most times weren't produced in Nigeria. Is time to start producing, and by that i mean standard product that we can export. Let's put a stop to counterfeit! Is time to choose leaders we can hold accountable. Any visionary person can rule and not these old cabals with selfish agenda. Is time to think service, because leadership begins with service. We can be selfless, we can build, we can care. Now Is the time to be a standard for africa and the world at large. Stop the violence. The country will not grow if u join to condemn or destroy it. Unite visionary youths. Election period is fast coming, u must make a choice to vote. Prepare to even contest! God sends the visionary man who's prepared! Work on your mind. Think possibility, grow your influence, prepare yourself with the right tools! There is more than enough wealth in this country than leaders have enough sense to steal. Gather yourself for the right course. This government should become afraid of her masses and not otherwise. I believe i have awaken your mind.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.
God bless you.

Nairaland / General / How To Become An Excellent Leader/role Model by mydearfrancis(m): 8:12am On Dec 10, 2013
Having excellent Leadership Skills
does not happen in a day nor
happen
overnight neither does it come
easy. You have to build it up. It is
not enough to just build up those
skills, you have to continually
build up on
them and make them habits. This
makes you remarkably
outstanding, having everyone want to associate with
you and be like you in your place
of work or
where ever you find yourself.**
*WHO IS AN EXCELLENT LEADER/
ROLE MODEL?* A leader that people emulate and
want to be like - a leader with a
difference- is an excellent leader
and role model. The individual is a
good
example that everybody refers to and act like.
*Below are some tips on how to
become an excellent leader/role
model in all
that you do*
1. Make a decision within yourself if you want to be
different from every other person.
2. Ask yourself ‘why’ you want to
be an excellent leader. Your
reason becomes your driving
force. 3. Stop thinking like everyone
else, and start thinking more
than everyone else.
4. Always find time to read
educative and inspiring things.
5. Think of new ways or methods to do tasks; use your
initiative and do things
differently.
6. Look for problems to solve.
Don ’t wait for problems to be
brought to you. 7. With a free and sincere heart,
render services outside your
jurisdiction and not because you
will be paid.
8. Help people around you if you
can. Do not make them beg you before you help them.
9. Learn how to deal with issues
especially when it comes to
personal and emotional issues at
work.
10. Be nice and do not look down on people, especially those
younger than you (or below you
in a work setting)
11. Be daring. Volunteer to do
things that people do not want to
do. Go to places people do not want to go.
12. Be Polite and Respectful to
everyone you come across.
Being an excellent leader is not
just for the benefit of those
around you. It is also for your own benefit. As
people admire and respect you,
you also
begin to have respect for yourself.
You become a better person, you
and everyone else can be proud of.
However be careful that you do
not become proud in the process.
So stop complaining. Start
thinking and acting like the
excellent leader that you are in every aspect of
your life.
Business / How To Manage Pressure And Increase Performance. by mydearfrancis(m): 8:06am On Dec 10, 2013
To succeed in life and work; have
a healthy long life, you must
ensure you
manage challenges that come
your way, no matter how difficult
it may seem. These challenges are most of the
times called “pressure”. Now if
you do not
learn how to manage “pressure”,
it will impair your health and
make you unproductive, reducing your
ability to perform at expected
level.
* *
*WHAT IS PRESSURE?*
This is simply defined as a forcible influence that causes anxiety and
difficulty. There is no need to
really be anxious for anything as
we will
always experience pressure. The
earlier you learn how to manage it the
better for you and all those that
care about you.
* *
*TYPES OF PRESSURE*
* * You may ask “does pressure have
types?” the answer is yes, it does
and the
moment you discover and
determine the kind of pressure
you frequently have, the straightway you have
discovered to dealing with and
enjoying your work
and life generally. Some kinds of
pressure are the following:
- Work pressure - Family pressure (marital)
- Financial pressure
- Relationship
*Work pressure* comes especially
when you have an urgent
demand to meet with a need within a very short period
of time. What happens to you is
that you
lose focus of all other issues at
hand, channeling your energy to
the need that has a high level if attention
and most times become very
irritable.
*WHAT IS PERFORMANCE?*
This is the ability to use your skills
to do work or accomplish a task, meeting all the requirements
associated with the task or work.
*THE STEPS BELOW ARE SOME WAYS
YOU CAN MANAGE PRESSURE*
* *
1. Relax and clear your mind when you feel you are under
pressure. Do
not react or jump into action
immediately.
2. When calm, think on the issue
to identify the source of the problem
3. Think of solutions to the
problem that is putting you under
pressure and pick the best option
4. Prioritize your activities so that
you can have time for each and every one of your activities. This
gives you a sense of direction.
5. Solve each problem, one at a
time
6. If possible, delegate some
activities. This gives you time to focus
on the more serious issues.
7. Collate results after preparing
them and go through them to
ensure
you are satisfied with them before implementation to avoid
repeating the
process all over again.
Pressure affects performance but
it is your ability to handle it that
determines the extent to which it affects your performance. It is
imperative
that you find your own way or
style of dealing with or managing
pressure
whenever they occur in the work place.
When pressure is not managed at
all or is not effectively managed,
your
performance at work is greatly
affected and is evident in ways like:
1. Your output is greatly reduced
because you are under stress as a
result of the pressure
2. You are unable to think clearly
to provide useful and effective solutions
3. You become frustrated
4. You become unorganized and
unable to focus on your duties
and tasks
given to you When challenges come with
pressure, do not panic and try to
solve it at the
same time, this only makes the
situation worse and makes your
performance poor. Deal with the pressure by
being calm and then acting right.

Politics / Aviation Minister Absent At Wednesday Fec Meeting by mydearfrancis(m): 12:00pm On Oct 23, 2013
AVIATION MINISTER ABSENT AT WEDNESDAY FEC
MEETING:
Embattled Minister of Aviation, Mrs Stella Oduah,
was on Wednesday conspicuously absent at the
weekly Federal Executive Council meeting held at
the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Oduah is currently in the eye of the storm over the
purchase of two bulletproof cars for her by the
Nigerians Civil Aviation Authority. The vehicles are
valued at a whopping $1.6m (about N225m). Many stakeholders had been calling for her sack or
resignation while the Presidency had so far kept
mum on the matter. State House correspondents who had resolved to
take up the matter with the minister before or after
the FEC meeting were disappointed as she failed to
show up at the time the meeting started a few
minutes after 10am.

So who carries out the suspension, did God say we should do it, isn't this contrary to Heb 10:25, And does the suspension change the culprit

Religion / Re: Did God Create People Before Adam And Eve? by mydearfrancis(m): 1:15am On Sep 13, 2013
Many skeptics have
claimed that for Cain to
find a wife, there must
have been other “ races”
of people on the earth
who were not
descendants of Adam
and Eve. To many
people, this question is
a stumbling block to
accepting the creation
account of Genesis and
its record of only one
man and woman at the
beginning of history.
Defenders of the gospel
must be able to show
that all human beings
are descendants of one
man and one woman
(Adam and Eve)
because only
descendants of Adam
and Eve can be saved.
Thus, believers need to
be able to account for
Cain’s wife and show
clearly she was a
descendant of Adam
and Eve.
In order to answer this
question of where Cain
got his wife, we first
need to cover some
background information
concerning the meaning
of the gospel.
The First Man
“Wherefore, as by one
man sin entered into
the world, and death by
sin; and so death
passed upon all men,
for that all have
sinned” (Romans 5:12).
We read in 1 Corinthians
15:45 that Adam was
“the first man.” God did
not start by making a
race of men.
The first and Last Adam
The Bible makes it clear
that only the
descendants of Adam
can be saved. Romans 5
teaches that we sin
because Adam sinned.
The death penalty,
which Adam received as
judgment for his sin of
rebellion, has also been
passed on to all his
descendants.
Since Adam was the
head of the human
race, when he fell we
who were in the loins of
Adam fell also. Thus,
we are all separated
from God. The final
consequence of sin
would be separation
from God in our sinful
state forever. However,
the good news is that
there is a way for us to
return to God.
Because a man brought
sin and death into the
world, the human race,
who are all descendants
of Adam, needed a
sinless Man to pay the
penalty for sin and the
resulting judgment of
death. However, the
Bible teaches that “ all
have sinned” (Romans
3:23). What was the
solution?
The Last Adam
God provided the
solution—a way to
deliver man from his
wretched state. Paul
explains in 1 Corinthians
15 that God provided
another Adam. The Son
of God became a man—
a perfect Man—yet still
our relation. He is called
“the last Adam” ( 1
Corinthians 15:45)
because he took the
place of the first Adam.
He became the new
head and, because He
was sinless, was able
to pay the penalty for
sin:
For since by [a]
man came death,
by [a] Man also
came the
resurrection of the
dead. For as in
Adam all die, even
so in Christ all shall
be made alive (1
Corinthians 15:21–
22
).
Christ suffered death
(the penalty for sin) on
the Cross, shedding His
blood ( “and without
shedding of blood there
is no remission,”
Hebrews 9:22) so that
those who put their
trust in His work on the
Cross can come in
repentance of their sin
of rebellion (in Adam)
and be reconciled to God.
Thus, only descendants
of the first man Adam
can be saved.
All Related
We are all one blood.
Since the Bible describes
all human beings as
sinners, and we are all
related ( “And He has
made from one blood
every nation of men to
dwell on all the face of
the earth,” Acts 17:26),
the gospel makes
sense only on the basis
that all humans alive
and all that have ever
lived (except for the
first woman6 ) are
descendants of the
first man Adam. If this
were not so, then the
gospel could not be
explained or defended.
Thus, there was only
one man at the
beginning—made from
the dust of the earth
( Genesis 2:7).
This also means that
Cain’s wife was a
descendant of Adam.
She couldn’t have come
from another race of
people and must be
accounted for from
Adam’s descendants.
The First Woman
In Genesis 3:20 we read,
“And Adam called his
wife’s name Eve,
because she was the
mother of all living.” In
other words, all people
other than Adam are
descendants of Eve—
she was the first
woman.
Eve was made from
Adam’s side ( Genesis
2:21–24)—this was a
unique event. In the
New Testament, Jesus
( Matthew 19:4-6) and
Paul (Ephesians 5:31)
use this historical and
onetime event as the
foundation for the
marriage of one man
and one woman.
Also, in Genesis 2:20,
we are told that when
Adam looked at the
animals, he couldn’t find
a mate—there was no
one of his kind.
All this makes it
obvious that there was
only one woman,
Adam’s wife, from the
beginning. There could
not have been a “race”
of women.
Thus, if Christians
cannot defend that all
humans, including Cain’s
wife, can trace their
ancestry ultimately to
Adam and Eve, then
how can they
understand and explain
the gospel? How can
they justify sending
missionaries to every
tribe and nation?
Therefore, one needs
to be able to explain
Cain’s wife, to illustrate
that Christians can
defend the gospel and
all that it teaches.
Adam's first attempt at
being romantic
Who Was Cain?
Cain was the first child
of Adam and Eve
recorded in Scripture
( Genesis 4:1). He and his
brothers, Abel (Genesis
4:2) and Seth (Genesis
4:25), were part of the
first generation of
children ever born on
this earth. Even though
these three males are
specifically mentioned,
Adam and Eve had
other children.
Cain’s Brothers and
Sisters
In Genesis 5:4 we read a
statement that sums
up the life of Adam and
Eve: “After he begot
Seth, the days of Adam
were eight hundred
years; and he had sons
and daughters.”
During their lives, Adam
and Eve had a number
of male and female
children. In fact, the
Jewish historian
Josephus wrote, “The
number of Adam’s
children, as says the old
tradition, was thirty-
three sons and twenty-
three daughters.”7
Scripture doesn’t tell us
how many children
were born to Adam and
Eve, but considering
their long life spans
(Adam lived for 930
years—Genesis 5:5), it
would seem logical to
suggest there were
many. Remember, they
were commanded to
“ be fruitful, and
multiply” (Genesis 1:28).
The Wife
If we now work totally
from Scripture, without
any personal prejudices
or other extrabiblical
ideas, then back at the
beginning, when there
was only the first
generation, brothers
would have had to
marry sisters or there
wouldn’t have been any
more generations!
We’re not told when
Cain married or many of
the details of other
marriages and children,
but we can say for
certain that Cain’s wife
was either his sister or
a close relative.
A closer look at the
Hebrew word for
“wife” in Genesis
reveals something
readers may miss in
translation. It was
more obvious to those
speaking Hebrew that
Cain’s wife was likely
his sister. (There is a
slim possibility that she
was his niece, but
either way, a brother
and sister would have
married in the
beginning.) The Hebrew
word for “wife” used in
Genesis 4:17 (the first
mention of Cain’s wife)
is ishshah, and it means
“woman/wife/female.”
And Cain knew his
wife [ishshah], and
she conceived and
bore Enoch. And he
built a city, and
called the name of
the city after the
name of his son—
Enoch (Genesis
4:17).
The word ishshah is the
word for “woman,” and
it means “from man.” It
is a derivation of the
Hebrew words ‘iysh
(pronounced: eesh) and
enowsh, which both
mean “man.” This can
be seen in Genesis 2:23
where the name
“woman” (ishshah) is
given to one who came
from Adam.
And Adam said:
“This is now bone
of my bones and
flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called
Woman [ishshah],
because she was
taken out of Man
[iysh]” (Genesis
2:23).
Thus, Cain’s wife is a
descendant of Adam/
man. Therefore, she
had to be his sister (or
possibly niece). Hebrew
readers should be able
to make this connection
easier; however, much
is lost when translated.
Objections
God’s Laws
Many people
immediately reject the
conclusion that Adam
and Eve’s sons and
daughters married each
other by appealing to
the law against
brother-sister marriage.
Some say that you
can’t marry your
relation. Actually, if you
don’t marry your
relation, you don’t
marry a human! A wife
is related to her
husband before they
are married because all
people are descendants
of Adam and Eve—all
are of one blood. This
law forbidding close
relatives marrying was
not given until the time
of Moses ( Leviticus 18–
20). Provided marriage
was one man for one
woman for life (based
on Genesis 1–2), there
was no disobedience to
God’s law originally
(before the time of
Moses) when close
relatives (even brothers
and sisters) married
each other.
Remember that
Abraham was married
to his half-sister
(Genesis 20:12).8 God’s
law forbade such
marriages,9 but that
was some four hundred
years later at the time
of Moses.

Nairaland / General / 3 Simple Ways To Get People To Listen To You by mydearfrancis(m): 2:41pm On Jun 03, 2013
1. Listen. This may seem counter-intuitive, but by far the most effective way to get people’s
attention is to give them yours. When you truly
listen to someone – when you offer them your
undivided focus, summarize their main points to
make sure you’re tracking, ask curiosity-based
questions to find out more – you’re demonstrating openness and respect in a
powerful way. Most people automatically want
to hear what someone who seems interested in
them might have to say. Whenever you feel like someone isn’t listening to
you, try really listening to him or her first, and
then see what happens. It doesn’t always work
(some people are truly self-involved), but it
usually does. [Note to parents – this often has
good results even with teenagers.]

2. Cut to the chase. I was facilitating a meeting a few years ago for a senior operating group, most
of whom were quite talkative, and at the same
time quite good listeners. There was one guy,
though – he would start talking, and within a
minute or two, people’s attention would drift. I
found I kept interrupting him (respectfully), trying to summarize for him, and he’d simply go
off in another direction. It was really chewing up
the group’s time, and breaking their focus.
I pulled him aside at a break, and told him I
thought he had important points to make, but
that people were having a hard time listening to
him. “That always happens to me!” he exclaimed.
“People don’t understand me, so I try to explain
more.” “Try to explain less,” I advised. He looked puzzled.
“When you say something complex, and people
aren’t getting it, it’s not going to help, generally,
to say additional complex stuff. Before you start
talking, take a minute to think about how to
communicate the essence of your message in a simple way.” Happily, he made a real effort to
follow my advice, and people were better able to
listen to him. I read a really great article today by Kare Anderson in the Harvard Business Review blog, talking about just this situation. If you have
a problem communicating in a simple, compelling
way, I strongly suggest you read it.

3. Read the Room. If you’re talking to someone or to a group, and they’re not giving you their
attention (surreptitiously looking at their phones,
doodling, looking out the window, writing
emails), they’re not listening to you. As above,
you talking more is probably not going to help.
Stop talking. Ask a question; find out what they’re interested in hearing. Even if you’re the
most compelling speaker in the world, people
won’t listen to you if they’re not interested in
your topic. The depth of your passion for
taxidermy is not going to engage your vegan
friends – I don’t care how articulate you are. To boil it down: if you want people to listen to
you, first listen to them. And when you do talk,
focus on topics they find interesting, and paint a
vivid picture – use clear, compelling words and
images. Simple advice – but simple doesn’t mean easy. I’d
love to hear experiences you’ve had in trying to
get people (especially at work) to listen to you.
What’s worked for you and what hasn’t?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Loved At Chelsea And Hated In Spain: Is Mourinho Right? by mydearfrancis(m): 10:37pm On May 02, 2013
Imagine modern day football without mourinho! It'll be so boringsmiley since am mourinho's nø1 fan! It means i'll be supporting chelsea fc again. Spain couldn't handle mourinho! They'll know what they lost when he's gone! Anyhow his record in RM speaks bonussmiley
Sports / UCL: Match Analysis: RM Vs Dortmund by mydearfrancis(m): 11:38pm On Apr 30, 2013
what do u think?

I think d best team tonight lost on goal agregate(3-4).
If only webb had shown hummel his deserved red card, but it wasn't to be, he was been human and not official.
If only ozil had passed to ronaldo, but he was been selfish(seeking for fame/glory).
If benzema had started, but no, mourinho was reserving d best for d last.
It's well! La decima waved on!

They weren't superior afterall!
Madrid missed their chances unlike dortmund!
This result will inspire barca dream of coming back!
To cancel 0-4 deficeit is not impossible.
Beside Bayern are not impregnable(young Arsenal proved it).
Bravo Whites!
Hala madrid!!

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Nairaland / General / Thought For Today: Celebrate Your Uniqueness by mydearfrancis(m): 9:02am On Apr 09, 2013
…Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith… (Hebrews 12:1-2).

God has a unique plan for your life, different from
that of any other living person. His plans and
purposes for your life are distinct, because He
doesn’t have, has never had, and will never have
a replica of you! You’re the only “you” that God
has and will ever have. So, take pride in who you are and in what God is doing in your life; sing
and celebrate your uniqueness. Sometimes, there’s the temptation to feel
discouraged when others around you seem to be
making more progress than you. However, such
a feeling is absolutely unnecessary, because you
don’t measure your success with the success of
someone else. Rather, you measure your success with how much you’re walking in the will of
God for your life. That someone else is succeeding
doesn’t mean you’re failing, for God has called us
to fulfill different areas of His vision. John the Baptist, for example, was filled with the
Holy Spirit while he was in his mother’s womb
and was described by Jesus as the greatest of all
men born by women (Matthew 11:11). Yet, his
ministry as the forerunner to the Messiah lasted
only six months. This was God’s purpose for his life, and he fulfilled it. Learn to celebrate your uniqueness! Refuse to
compete or compare yourself with someone else.
Focus on your calling; sing and make melody
about your uniqueness in Christ; work on
outdoing your past and not somebody else. This
consciousness will make your life full of rest, as you learn to look at yourself and measure your
success through God’s Word. Hallelujah! Take advantage of this platform to sing about
your uniqueness today!
