Let them buy crypto and keep and stop being foolish.
They keep borrowing from countries who are wiser than them.
They seek knowledge but other countries seek wisdom

Bunsenbun:
It actually has no economic implications, since cryptotransactions were not remitting anything to the coffers of the govt
The money made from crypto were does it go, to the sky I guess
Did you know how many youths are making daily bread through crypto.
Movement to and from bank also attract charges and millions of transaction are done per day
Instead of them to regularise t and put restrictions on amounts of money you can withdraw for crypto transactions, they are doing like over know it all..
Digital currency has come to stay, the way fait money take over from cowries and barter.

Politics / Re: Atiku Appeals To Buhari: Don’t Shut Down Cryptocurrency Business by MyOpinion1(f): 10:51am On Feb 07, 2021
Fraud has been even b4 crypto and we still be there wt or without it..
If there was restriction on innovations, there would have been no fait money today maybe we would still be spending cowry..
The fear of the govt is deposit in banks which is reducing coz people prefer holding their money in crypto..
They can still balance the two by putting restriction on the amount you can withdraw to crypto account without affecting the demand deposit.
Either way, they will lose completely if they put total ban on financial institutions from dealing in crypto coz as far as we all know people will find alternative for their crypto transaction and the economy will be losing out

Best way around crypto currency is to ban what they have not say or control over that can manipulate their economy and put in place their own controlled digital currency

There is nothing manipulative abt crypto
They ought to put restrictions on the amount of money you can withdraw to crypto account..
Banning financial institutions from it won't stop Nigeria from trading it and the economy will be losing money
Politics / Re: Atiku Appeals To Buhari: Don’t Shut Down Cryptocurrency Business by MyOpinion1(f): 5:56pm On Feb 06, 2021
Instead of them regulating it, they put a ban on it..

They should reduce the years of service to 50years...
Give them their entitlement benefits, they will still be resourceful at that age to venture into other business, and that will open door for new people to come into the system and reduce unemployment rate..

Crime / Re: How David Ntekim-Rex Was Killed (2018 IBM Competition Winner) by MyOpinion1(f): 9:10pm On Jan 18, 2021
PS712:

What happened is highly unfortunate and saddening. But for purpose of discuss I'd like to point out that most deviants you see might not necessarily be as a result of bad parenting, but combination of so many factors.
The lessons we can take from what just happened is that there is need for shortcode Emergency numbers that anyone can call and get help as quickly as possible, not those 11 digits GSM numbers dolled out that you call and no response. If there was such emergency dial, those who witnessed those people on bike trying to rob the guy would have signalled the police and subsequently get emergency help for him when he was shot.
Another lesson is lighting and CCTV surveillance of streets.
Sadly, this is the sorry state Nigerians found themselves in and it's like it may not go anytime soon with all the kidnappings, banditry, terrorism.
See bad parenting is no one causes of most atrocities you see all over the places..
Other factors came in when the first one is lacking..
And before we begin to talk abt other factors why not ask yourself why you are not like them.
It is the foundation that is rotten...
So many children without identity el

Let every family be responsible, that is not too much to ask in a sane society..
The professor train his child but was killed by the child of another parent who failed to train his..
Life would have been fair for everyone, but since we all are minding our businesses and fail to caution others and society refuses to make everybody responsible for their decisions primarily, then this kind of story we still keep increasing and increasing and nothing anyone can do abt it...

i think at this point it should be about balance. The issue is some schools are lying to themselves about being prepared, aren't planning serious protocols and people(teachers and students) can't help but not comply with them sad. I hope we don't start seeing mass shutdowns of tertiary institutions but I don't see how that's likely not to happen sad sad.
.

The schools authority and government are more concerned about the tuition fees they are going to generate and not really the academics..
It's just too bad that ignorance dictate to common sense in this part of the world...
The adults can even take care of themselves, but the little ones should not be expose to further risk..

I don't know why the government is putting the life of everyone at risk because of the ignorant of some few..
Why returning the children to school amidst the high risk of the second wave...
I understand, the govt bowed to pressure because of the demand of people that further lockdown might cripple the economy but then they should have kept the children indoor because they are more vulnerable..
The children are the future, they should be kept safe..

Some Nigeria don't use facemask to be protected, they use it to boycott harassment from government.. Some people will not even wash the facemask for weeks and you see them using that hand to touch good in the market..
I felt disgusted seeing those dirty facemask on people faces all in the name of use facemask, use facemask..

My dear, the figures are grossly unreported. This thing is spreading like wildfire and killing seriously. Everyday now I receive reports of deaths through medical sources not affiliated to government so I cannot dispute their claims. It is certain we are faced with a different strain some tests are not picking up and so misdiagnoses is the big problem today.

The problem of goverment appears to be one of resources as it appears they are not able to sustain the impetus of the initial outbreak probably because the framework for their actions was artificial and most likely overloaded. And they have not been able to develop and industry around containing this virus rather depending on task forces which are expensive to maintain.

By now the private sector should have been deeply embedded in this fight but the government wants it all and are now found wanting. The only thing that can prevent a total catastrophe in Nigeria is immunization. But can they do it fast enough before the virus mutates again.
The fight is a fight of all but the problem still lies in the fact that most people don't believe it is real.
China is a communist country devoid of any form of bureaucracy, rules and policies are easily passed, that is why they were able to handle it with fast and furious attempt...
Other countries have some reserved to cater for exigencies....
As far as Nigeria is concerned, the government are broke "economically' and that is why they can't declare total lockdown.

The figure keep increasing day by day
Have the govt even considered the effect it will have on the front line workers . They will get tired and that can cause "mistreatment"
Please you people should do the needful once and for all.
If it is total lockdown that can solve this, then conclude on a time frame and let's get it done once and fall all..

And you want investors to come into your country when the cost of everything is relatively high..
The situation will remain like this cox we have too much of civil servants in this country who only care for the two bedroom bungalow they will be compensated with after 35 years of service...
Most of them don't even have foresight to analysis the basics economic indices and how the economic policies will influence their lives and children.
They are just comfortable with their minimum wage that will not even meet up with inflation in the long run...
