(P.s I have booked an appointment at NIS for capturing but it won’t be Available till after the interview)

My aunty’s visa took about two weeks while my mother in-law’s visa came out after two months. The timeline is unpredictable and is determinant on many factors

Hi Good people, please I need some clarification, A relative applied for a visit visa for Canada via an agent and the visa processing took less than 3 months till visa is out, I know Canada delays a lot so out of curiosity I asked if they took his fingerprint and he said No because he previously applied before and got a refusal so finger print wasn’t needed. I know for Uk and other countries fingerprints are taken every time you apply even if it’s immediately after the refusal. Experienced people do Canada ignore to take fingerprints if reapplying? Also is is possible to get VV in less than 3 months ? He is convincing my cousin to do same and I just tot something isn’t right, I know the minimum processing time is 1 year + even on Canada website it says 785 days.

That explains why it’s not showing on the dashboard

I noticed the anomaly some minutes after submission. I sent webform explaining the situation around January and I’m yet to get a response to that effect. I’ll call the customer service today

Hope you have cancelled this one that you submitted today before IRCC starts processing it. Maybe you are not doing something correctly.

Regarding the one you submitted in November, when you did notice that it was showing another person details after submission?

Send IRCC a webform with detailed explanation of the issue and you can also call IRCC agent to explain the issue just in case they can rectify any anomaly before a decision is taken on the file. But, first be sure you are not the one making any mistake.

Hello everyone, filled my Mum’s visit visa application around November but it’s showing another persons details , tried filling another application using another email but it’s showing the same person details. It’s showing the person biometrics details and name, bear in mind my mum has never applied for Canada visa yet it’s showing biometrics details. What can I do to rectify this

You should send them a message at least 3 times a day, that was what I did and an agent was assigned to my file a week after. I got my PPR a month after

COPR Timeline

As at the time I got PPR, info on this thread alluded to VFS Germany being one of the more responsive. Followed the directions provided on here and on the VFS site to compile the required documentation.

June 7th: Drop-off DHL HQ for VFS Germany
June 9th: Delivered to VFS Germany

No acknowledgement whatsoever from VFS about receipt so I started to worry about the status of things and sent a couple of emails. Got generic/template replies.

June 21st: Profile update email from IRCC (Counterfoil generated June 20th)
June 21st: Decision envelope received at VFS Germany
June 22nd: DHL pickup initiated
June 24th: Decision envelope collected by DHL
June 28th: COPR delivered

Took 3 weeks from drop-off to delivery.

Many thanks to all the regular contributors. Got most of the needed info by reading and searching through the various parts. (A couple 100 pages left to catch up on the Living in Canada thread :p)
