I haven't used the mobile version in a while, but I see it's been updated with the list of recent topics like is shown on the home page. That's good! If I remember correctly, one of my major issues with the mobile version was that it redirected me back to the board index, not the specific topic, whereas the latter is always better. |
iOS5 is compatible with the 3Gs too! |
It sounds like you're just reloading the OS. When you say "flash", I'll expect a complete wipe (crashed & nuked) BlackBerry that wouldn't even boot, then you can proceed to deploy the firmware and subsequently install applications. To do complete wipes, I use JLCmder, BBSAK is a bit buggy so I rarely use it. |
Idowuogbo:Regardless of how you perceived her messages, you don't owe her a response. If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all! Simple! Sir u as well spewing comments wiv no weight your quote"Men value d women dey struggle to get" as in wtf did u conduct a survey on this? It's how I feel and a couple of people I've discussed this topic with feel about it. Once again, see it as my opinion, you're not required to comment. Omo I tire for some usernames sef.Idowuogbo doesn't make any sense to me either. I don't expect you to twig the ideology behind mine. Seriously, why do you care? Was my username worth your comments? Whoever you are, grow up! Your mates are doing bigger and better things with their lives, don't come on a forum looking to bash people. Get a life, Seriously! |
tumababa:Why do you think it won't work? It's simple logic, they are simply changing the address that iDevices will submit (crash) logs to. It's similar to TinyUmbrella & requesting SHSH from Cydia. As far as I know, it's already working (they are receiving crash dumps) & that can be used to discover vulnerabilities. |
The way some of you guys are so quick to bash users with legitimate concerns is quite appalling. It diminishes the whole idea of a 'community'. Must you be so rude & dramatic? ![]() @Poster, I understand your point, really, and I can see why approaching a guy would seem awkward, most women believe it's the man's responsibility (attitude relic?). It's no secret that men value women they struggle to get. Personally, I'll prefer making the first step, but wouldn't mind if she does too. My advice: Follow your instincts, they somehow already know what's right. |
Wassup guys? ![]() Any improvements with iOS 5.0.1? I'm still on 5.0 and my battery dies quite fast, perhaps it's Gevey causing the drains? Other Gevey unlockers, do you notice any battery life improvements with iOS 5.0.1? I'm thinking it might be worth waiting and updating to 5.0.2 instead, what's your take? |
I think it has to do with the location. I have absolutely no problems placing or receiving calls, recharging my line, or using the Internet. In fact, their internet services both here in Area 11, Abuja and in North Bank, Makurdi is a dream come true. My only problem is with the BlackBerry data services. It gets really slow and annoying, while for non-BlackBerry data services, it's quick and efficient. Because of this, I always have to share the connection from my iPhone to the BlackBerry before I can use any data related services. Besides that, Glo is on-point. ![]() |
Soft Touch, what theme are you using? It's attractive! ![]() |
Seriously? |
[+] http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2753 [+] http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1424 Might have to do with your time/date settings and/or certificates too. |
Try re-installing iTunes, preferably the latest version (10.5). |
"More better"? "Cure 3"? For the former, don't you think just "better" would do? For the latter, get a working keyboard. |
Got all messages ![]() |
Netotse, newbie? LOL! |
Old thread, found this while I was viewing another iMessage topic. Indeed, BlackBerrys will remain the 'in-thing' in Nigeria. Apple products are a little to expensive for the average joe. |
Hey Guys ![]() If you're well, just like me, new to iOS 5 and looking to chat on Apple's new iMessage platform. Share your iMessage ID (E-mail/#) to get new contacts. Personally, I'll prefer e-mail contact: ro8127@googlemail.com HowTo: If you're still trying to get a hang of things and aren't sure how iMessage works yet, all you have to do is create a new contact (akin to a phone book entry), add the e-mail/phone number of the iContact you're trying to connect with. Once the contact has been saved/created, click on 'Send Message', select the means of contact if there's more than one, at this point you'll be taking over to the 'Messages' application and as soon as iMessage confirms the contact is connected, the bottom part of the screen will read 'iMessage'. ![]() Note: I've noticed that 'Nigeria' isn't on the list (as stated here) when you're trying to activate iMessage for the first time, I already informed Apple about this using the iPhone feedback section of their website and I hope to see it included in a future update, for now, I selected 'Niger', although not been able to chat with any contact yet (meh, that's the purpose of this thread), but messaging myself works. |
iMessage seems to have activated but messages aren't going though, weird. I've toggled iMessage on and off with no success, and 3 different e-mail accounts, I'm receiving with e-mails, FYI. Try to add me and send a message my way: ro8127@googlemail.com |
As regards the country to use for iMessage since Nigeria isn't listed. I selected 'Niger' and it activated me using my +234 phone number. |
tumababa:Indeed, Luckily I found the AT&T SIM card that came with my iPad 2, I re-installed iOS 5 and iTunes successfully activated my iPhone 4 ![]() Turns out we didn't even need to go through the SAM stress the other time. I'll add you on iMessage now ![]() |
You need your Apple ID. That isn't limited to iTunes ![]() |
I have a friend that used a 16GB card without issues, I believe a 32GB card would serve as well. |
Arkhin:I still don't understand why they aren't any guides covering the baseband prevention, iOS5 upgrade with Gevey. If you can be patient, I'll put together a detailed guide (with screenshots) detailing the steps I took. |
Oh, nice, Please post the repo link. |
It looks like they removed the ability to tether, this of course, will force me to pay for MyWii ![]()
|
I've just upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0, preserving my baseband at 04.10.01 for Gevey to unlock, I'm using Glo 3G and everything appears to be working. I'm currently playing with iCloud and uploading/downloading data across my iPhone 4 & iPad 2, it's great ![]() A few issues though, I noticed that 'Nigeria' isn't on the list when setting up iMessage and that's just sad, although it looks like it's a mistake as many other countries including 'ghana' and even 'mozambique' are listed, hopefully, someone can tell Apple about this to include 'Nigeria' in a feature update. I've just restored to 5.0 and I'm still going through stuff, I'll create a guide detailing the steps I used to get Gevey Supreme working on iOS5 (screen shots and all) later. Again, Do NOT restore to stock 5.0. Both Gevey and UltaSn0w won't help you.

you're trying to connect with. Once the contact has been saved/created, click on 'Send Message', select the means of contact if there's more than one, at this point you'll be taking over to the 'Messages' application and as soon as iMessage confirms the contact is connected, the bottom part of the screen will read 'iMessage'.
