The sword of Damocles dangling over the heads of the evil generals of 9ja will soon fall, they will reap abundantly the evil they've sown. The likes of Gowon, Buhari, Babangida, and Obasanjo will never escape judgement and their blood soaked hands and heads will be amputated and put on public display! angry

Zubebe:
Hey I watched the interview.
I think Madueke held on as expected of any Yar'adua cabinet minister. He even put Jonathen, the BBC guy, to task by saying he was part of our corruption problem. The BBC guy claimed that he was asked to give bribe by a naija official at Murtala Airport. Madueke asked him whether he reported the incident and when the guy said no, madueke quickly retorted by saying the guy was part of the problem. I loved that. High time we started telling those punks who encourages corruption in our in our country.
But yes I know some people here wanted him to say different things and hence the invectives showered on him. But I guess all are entitked to their opinions here in this forum.
And by the way he proved to be a lawyer for knowing the constitution so well and saying it to the BBC guy.
zubbe or whats your name, i pity you, its people like u dat sees d truth and keep on justifying wrongs because of tribalism, shiooo!
yeah, what if d guy reported, what would've come out of it? angry
are u forgetting dat right from radar to d tarmac, d whole airport stinks of corruption?

Music/Radio › Re: Why Do Nigerian Artists Have Poorly Written Songs? by na2day(m): 1:42pm On Jan 15, 2010
The problem i think, is the JACK OF ALL TRADE SYNDROME, the musician is the lyricist, the producer, d music video shooter come director, d promoter, the vendor and the person goin from radio station to radio station bribing and prostratin for d.js to give his song an airplay. After goin through all these stress how do u expect much from the music? smiley

NIGERIA- THE ONLY COUNTRY AN ELEPHANT CAN FLY.

So painful that with all the years invested into the legal profession, our judges have lost every form of integrity. There is no differnce between these judges and the policeman that collect 20 naira on road blocks. A shame.

@ na2day

Jonathan is not weak. He is only been diplomatic so as to avoid a repitition of the OBJ and ATIKU misunderstanding. What is his will definetly get to him at the right time.
i believe the reason why everybody is canvassing for jonathan is just to uphold the sacredness of the constitution, but we should also know that he is not better than d rest, THEY ARE ALL THESAME! angry

debosky:
Be careful what you wish for - Goodluck has avoided setting a bad precedent by usurping his superior. Issues concerning the fate of the nation should be clearly spelt out in the constitution and not left to the whims of individuals.

You might think it is a good thing now, but what if a corrupt VP decides to simply kick out his non-corrupt but docile boss? What then?

We should be governed by clearly set laws and not by who has more aggressiveness to seize power. That is a vestige of the military era in Nigeria and we must get beyond that.
You're right debosky but at times u get frustrated knowing dat what works in other clime is like a wishful thinkin in 9jaria, and sometimes u wish for the old military stability. i know our psyche has been brutalised by all these people, these democracy is gettin to be a nightmare for 9jarians!

I say, this Jonathan is weak! can you imagine AREMU(BABA IYABO) and MARADONA begging for what the constitution says its theirs, this man can't rule 9ja, or maybe he believes that the presidency should be handed over to him on a platter just like governorship post and the v.p ticket.  angry
This story has re-enforced my decision to stop going to church. My experience is this :i'm from a catholic background strong one for that matter ,dad parish council chairman, mum strong member of bible society/sacred heart e.t.c.
After school i left home to begin life in Lagos as a working class adult.Initially i was attending the nearest catholic church to me but i was nut getting the much needed spiritual gratification-every sunday is 1st collection;2nd collection, harvest & bazzar, new church building,generator/church maintainance bla bla bla.
I left and decided to try a parish in R.C.C.G ,there i got another shocker! you can imagine a pastor on new year day first service telling his congregation that the past year was bad as people did not bring in enough money via tithing e.t.c i left before the end of the service and went to another R.C.C.G parish almost the story was repeated they were preaching about sowing towards church building and different types sowing.I left for home again feeling empty and sapped.
When i got home ,i made a decision to go back to my root which is Roman Catholic Church since there was no difference ,yet the same pangs of emptiness still hangs after some sunday masses.
There was also a sunday i drove around Lagos looking for a church that preaches more of salvation ,holiness & righteousness instead of money money money!
I have considered joining Deeper Life but i find most of their doctrines very radical embarassed though better than the biz guys that call themselves pastors!
I'm looking for a place in lagos (main land/island) where the ancient word of God is preached , mobile church/gathering is even prefarable .The church is just not the structure but individual souls!
My sister, no loose hope, believe me there are still churches out there that can help with that longing for God, we are all spiritual beings, who needs the touch of the master smiley

azubike1:
This is quite terrible! I can imagine how you feel.

But I am not suprised. Christ warned us already that there would be plenty of fakes in the last days(mat 24:11,Mark 13:22,2Pet 2:1, ). Unfortunately there are two levels of deception and many of us here calling this guy mugu has also fallen into the second type of deception which is even worse. I will explain.

If you ever happen to use a fake panadol tablet, chances are that you would not use a panadol again. Some would even argue there is no real panadol in the market that the company closed down two years ago (as some of you are arguing now). That does not change the fact that there is a panadol. You see, the devil knows that if he brings in plenty of 'fake christianity' many people will simply shut down on any talk of Christianity. Nice ganmeplan he has and he is succeding in many lives.

Fact still remains that there is a God (the God) who loves you and has sent out men and women to guide the church in it's growth process(1 cor 12:28, Eph 4:11). Do not let the fakes deceive you into thinking thee is no real. Remember a day is coming when we will all face Him in judgement.

He reigns guys. grin Are you reigning with him?

If you want to discuss this further (maybe abuse me cheesy) drop me a line on azubikeezeilo@gmail.com
You're right my pastor, you must not throw away the baby with the birthwater winkgrin

I really wish the kind of intelligence these pastors are displaying is used to fight for the masses against the wicked rulers, havent they heard of men like Rev. martin luther king, but the kind of Rev. king we have in nigerian is in jail!,  huh

No 1forall i hav not lost touch at all,the truth of the matter is that these so called pastors cash in on the gullibility of nigerians who are desperately searchin for 'miracles'.Nigerians are notoriously religious, pliable & gullible which xplains the explosion of churches in every nook, cranny & crevice of the country.I really can't fathom y pple for for these con men disguisin as 'men of God'.
