SmartTalk: Well, if India was Nigeria, since the Sikhs are stereotypically entrepreneurs, the same amount of hatred the Igbo have directed at them would be directed at the Sikhs. Their properties would be expropriated and they would be killed. Since the Indians did not do that to their progressive members, they have seen economic growth and prosperity. That is the difference between India and Nigeria. And lest I forget, one of the things India did was allow Pakistan to leave. Nigeria has to consider similar pragmatism.Hey smart talk Since you are comparing the Sikhs to the Igbo , are you aware of what happened to the Sikhs in 1984? Some Sikhs body guards assassinated Indira Ghandi , the India prime minister and about 25,000 Sikhs (men, women and children) were raped and massacred. Compared that to the Nzeogwu's coup and the subsequent murder of innocent Igbos. Yet we never heard of the Sikhs running to secede, declaring a nation. They are still part and parcel of India till date! There is no country without its attendant problems, India has been having a worse kind of ethnic intolerance and progroms till the present time, but balkanisation was never an option for them Please let's find a solution to our problems and stop this hatred, this madness! Ok! Lest I forget, India never allowed Pakistan to leave, it was partioned just before independence at the insistence of Jinnah by the British (the wahala those people have caused)! And they have been at war ever since! |
I'm amazed at the level of ethnic hatred going on in Nigeria. If nairaland is the pulse of the nation, then I'm afraid all hope is lost! Can't we all work together without one section trying to pull the other down? Or dominate the other? India has about 28 states and 400 languages and they are all working together to make the country an Asian power house . How many are we, that we feel, our state will be better after separation? Wake up guys, changing our looters will not change the country, what will is abandoning this kind of hatred and mentality, building structures that will inhibit bad leadership and calling all our leaders to account! |
Look rusted though ![]() More like those unearthed 2nd world war ordinance ![]() You guys now know, where all those shipments have been going |
What a pity? I never knew fear dey catch these people like these! ![]() The country has really gone to the dogs and the present president, no matter how you guys spin this, is the worst! I thank God that there are still some youths in this country that can see through the smokes and mirror! To those who are here, still capable of critical thinking, kudos to you all. And to all those who can swallow anything, ![]() |
Parnassuss: Bros think about it, IF NO RED FLAGS WERE RAISED HOW WAS THE ORANGE SELLER CAUGHT? Did the army just stand and start looking everybody in the face to see if they'd show signs of Boko Haram allegiance? Abeg credit people with some intelligence if you don't want to use yoursOld boy! Use your grey matter naa! Didnt you read that they are stopping and searching every tom dck and harry? |
Awon omode yi nfi iku sere! ![]() This is a rarity! I've always known Nigerians as a people with phobia for dangerous sports. Kudos to them, I will like to see the pictures of Nigerians on mount everest next ![]() If no be the forty thousand dollrs tag, walahi I for do am ![]() |
Any group of people that hides under the veil of ethnicity and religion to chose their leaders instead of competence are doomed! Religion or tribe is inconsequential so far, the development that people wants to see is apparent! I'd rather make sheik makthoum, the sheik of Dubai the president of Nigeria, if he will make Nigeria like Dubai (FYI, many of our brothers, especially from the east are there hustling and they are not complaining about the religion), rather than Good luck Jonathan whose destiny is to make Nigeria , another somalia My point is this: religion and ethnicity does not matter, in as much as the development we crave is there for all to see ! |
Reptyle: ...and the OP's handle is "KRENdo" while yours just happens to be "mcKREN" abi? Be there responding to yourself with your multiple IDs. Make Seun catch you you go know how farAhahaaha Ol boy, you sharp o, thought I was the onlyone that noticed Some people are naturally dumb sha! |
Are the mods there? https://www.nairaland.com/852218/ijaw-people-take-note-benjamin Another e-war has started o! Infact the topic ought to be trashed and the op given a life ban for manipulating news to whip up ethnic intolerance! |
This is really sad, sad i say! |
Yes to the medicines! ![]() I was on one of those long haul flights and i had a terrible case of Jedi-Jedi (the one that hooks your sacrum vertebrae and makes you, shout at intervals) ![]() I don't even know, which medication to request for and I was ashamed to tell the hostess what was happening to me. Naso i bone just and just asked for aspirin, she said there is no aspirin, but they have paracetamol. That was the day i discovered that paracetamol dey cure jedijedi ![]() |
You all can see, what progressive countries do to scandals! The other day, our dear president was in Australia, I think, and there was a case of a groping of an hotel worker by a member of the contingent (I suspect our dear president himself), up till now, nothing has been done to bring the culprit to book! Now tell me, how can we be taken seriously? How? ![]() |
According to Alien astronaut theory, this is nothing but a demonstration of an assistance from our neighbours from a distant galaxy. They were the same visitors that helped the Israelis in the bible to negate the overwhelming horde of enemies with a few number of men. They render conventional weapons obsolete and just like a fellow alien astronaut theorist mentioned above, they empower their devotees with alien technology, with fantastic capabilities, they ensconce their worshippers in a force field that ricochet bullets back to sender. For more information about their capabilities, watch Ancient Aliens on History channel |
Another empty barrel! Who does he think he is? Jesus Christ? ![]() |
My son, convene a sovereign national conference, and let the people decide, on what term they want this marriage of inconvenience to continue. Thank you my son and don't forget to put a petroleum refinery in otueke, our village. |

https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/mars.nasa2_-450x450.jpg Over the past two-plus weeks, more than 78,000 people around the world have applied to be the first people to settle on Mars. One-minute videos with people explaining why they want to go and why they should be chosen to go have come from more than 120 countries, though the majority have come from the United States and China. Ultimately, 24-40 people will be chosen by the nonprofit Mars One and begin training in 2015. After seven years of training four of these people will hypothetically leave Earth to be space pioneers, settling on Mars. Every two years after that, four more will follow. Here are some of the applicants explaining why they want to be part of the first mission to Mars. Katrina, 24, United States https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Katrina_US-24.png "I'm an adventurer, an explorer, and I grew up in a sci-fi living household, so I've always dreamed of being an astronaut and being able to explore new planets. I want to go to Mars so I can learn so many amazing things, and share it with Earth to help inspire people to want to continue exploring space and push the boundaries of human knowledge, and what we can achieve. Eric, 36, China https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Eric-Shiang_China-36.png "Why I want to go to Mars? Because there is an end for the Earth, and human beings need a new place to survive. If I go to Mars, I survive." Francisco, 32, born in Argentina, living in Mexico. https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Francisco_Argentina-32.png "The idea of space traveling and discovering new places is fascinating. I'm a candidate because I'm a very courageous guy, I'm quick to learn. I love teamwork, and it's important for humans to be able to co-exist in Mars." Anders,51, Sweden. https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Andres_Sweden-51.png "I often fantasize to just get on board a spaceship and go, to explore the universe. I often get the feeling that I don't belong here, but up there, in space." Ilona, 23, Finland https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Ilona_Finland-23.png "I want to devote my life to knowledge, humanities, and science. I want to contribute to the greater good of humanity, and to tackle scientific discovery, with the itch to seek and to preserve information as my motivator." Richard, 60, United States https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Richard_US-60.png "I'd like to go to Mars because I think it's the explorer's golden ring for the next 25-30 years, and I would like to be a part of that experience." Paul, 40, Australia "Why would I leave Earth to go live on another planet, never to return? Birds eating in the forest; beautiful sunset; walking on the beach, warm sand beneath your toes. A thousand experiences I will never have again. I believe that in order to be OK with leaving all that forever, you need to love and cherish all those things and be OK to go anyway, because not going would be the real tragedy." Marc, 18, United States https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Marc_US-18.png "I want to be part of this mission to carry on an ancient human tradition, and that is to explore and to expand our species. I essentially want to serve humanity by becoming part of the next generation of pioneers of knowledge. And a colonization of another planet is the biggest step that humanity has ever taken in that direction, and I want to be part of that." Vinod, 30, India https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Vinod_India-30.png I believe that the purpose of humankind is to reach every corner of the universe, to know the truth of our existence, why we are here, who created us, Mars One is a small step toward reaching to the answer, and I want to contribute in this." Ariel, 27, from China and living in the United States https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/Ariel_China_27.png "Why wouldn't I like to go to Mars? I have been dreaming of a moment like this my entire life. Who wouldn't want to go into space? Space is awesome, and it would be amazing if I could live on Mars." Andrew, 34, Canada https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/andrew.jpg "I work extremely well with others [as seen in earning the title "Canada's Greatest Know-it-all" on a television series), in any group dynamic. I'm a dedicated space enthusiast [including having worked as a spacecraft systems engineer on 6 Canadian space missions and a PhD from MIT in a related field]." Victor, 26, United States https://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/05/victor.jpg "Why do I want to go to Mars? Really, who doesn't? The opportunity to go to space, period, let alone become one of the first settlers on a different planet, that's tremendous." http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/47940-why-are-people-applying-to-go-to-mars-and-never-come-back/ |
If you guys think what we are practising in Nigeria, is democrazy, then you are all deluded! And if you also think, things will get better the way we are going, I'm sorry to say 'you are on a long thing' For more insight, I advise you all to go and read The 48 Laws Of Power, and you will discover that Nigerian Rulers will continue to run this country for their personal gain till it dies, while feeding the ignorant citizens with hope of a better tomorrow. About 3years ago, Jonathan came onboard and promised hope and fresh air, but the reality is very painful. 3 years of your life is gone without reaping the benefits of a good government but you can continue to hope that he will become born again before the end of this term and maybe, just maybe you may enjoy what other democracies around the world are enjoying. If not, maybe if you give him the coveted second term, maybe he might repent and use it to bring down the dividends of democrazy. Yes, the only thing we enjoy from the government is promise and hope. They never run out of it. And the gullible citizens keeps on swallowing it ![]() As for me, anything but this sham, this lootocracy, masquerading as demo crazy! |
ngozievergreen: Y did the pastor kill the python in the first place? All these our Christian brethren from the east, na wa o! I'm amazed, really amazed! No wonder we read recently that kidnappers even conduct prayer programs for successful operation. Do you people know what Christianity is all about at all? ![]() So you all value the life of an errant python over that of the pastor's children. |
Most times, I am alarmed at the intelligence of most posters spewing rubbish on this forum! ![]() A Python is loving, python is harmless, python can't hurt a fly ![]() Where the f.uck did you learn that from? It may not be poisonous, but its definitely dangerous, if it wraps itself around you, it can crush your bones and swallow you whole, kapish? Kudos to the pastor for a job well done, idemshi python ko, odeshi python ni ![]() Mtsheeew |

What's her problem sef? Why she dey deny her man? And push him into the arms of Stella? Someone with her intelligence should know that sex should never be used as a weapon in marriage! This is the basic law of marriage! |
Nothing new naa! Qatar airways also show nollywood movies! The amazing thing was the pounded they serve me, the last time I travelled with them ![]() Emirates, I mean. |
Its either the 40 man lappie squad has hijacked this thread or the brain of an average Nigerian posting here, is below that of a chimp that can do anything to belong! I sincerely hope the former is the case rather than the later! ![]() |
I weep for my country, if these drones are the best brain we have! Imagine the dimw.its here, hailing this disgraceful exposure! Our national security outsourced to Israel! I'm also sure its without senate approval! If this is not an impeachable offence, I wonder what is! Shame! |
