Thanks. Any idea how much you're charged per second?

This service providers tell you one thing and go round to do another thing grin
Your question got me digging and I came across this article, see attached link.
Still it kinda works for me since I get more mileage than the bare amount I load.
A friend uses another bundle that goes for N100. I think it's only airtel to airtel. Code is *341*101#
But the catch is that it seems not available to all especial of you have a pre existing bundle.

@seyema & @Gptech. I just want to understand because the images you posted of your 4x running developers ROM shows "Redmi Note 4" not 4x. Which still seems to suggest that there's no dedicated Global 4x ROM except the China ROM. Is that correct?

A simple check on miui download page will clear all doubts

By the way, is airtel your default dialing sim?
No. It's on "Please ask". But Airtel is default for internet. Why's you ask?
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by nabeans: 10:10pm On Jul 17, 2017
Is that correct? I would think that there should be a global pre-installed ROM by now for the RN4X, abi?

Only if u know what it means to bring in things in this country.
Are retailers d ones bringing dem tecno, infinix in?
That's the point exactly. The proverb be say na rat wey dey inside hass dey tell the wan wey dey bush say fish dey inside. That's what put SLOT on the international/African map for mobile phones. Usually it will have to take the volume of orders from the likes of our protein0 & Noobody along with their balls to approach Xiaomi for collabo in the Naija market for Xiaomi to get the assuring facts and liver to test the waters, knowing say dem don get person wey go show dem way for here. The bad press out there about Naija is "fraud", corruption. Oya, over to una to drag Xiaomi enter..

Final and most potent point... From the discussion so far... After using Xiaomi phone, I can never use any local brand again...
Gba bé o! MIUI gives me access to virtually all aspects of the phone to resolve issues better and enjoy maximum functionality without necessarily rooting.
So far, so good...since my first Mi 4, I don park well dey neck my adorable "Naomi", I still dey wait to see the other skin or OS wey go turn my eye comot from am.

wow thanks for sharing, IOS is realy taking care if his customers, maybe its becus its just a single market for them, they produce their hardware and software themselves, Android is more or less an open source software, with multiple manufacturers making hardware and customs UI
Yes, and it's very convenient for Google to sit back and collect licencing fees from the multiple manufacturers and OEMs without necessarily being under pressure to harmonise the version fragmentation in the ecosystem.

Then how does one actually differentiate the N4 from the N4X if both read N4? Apart from hardware differences, isn't there any distinctive software difference to assure that one is holding the N4X instead of N4?

you are using global rom which was meant for n4 Snapdragon, because n4x don't have its own dedicated global rom that's why the name is n4 even if you using n4x

Boss, does Jumia offer pay after delivery for Chinese brands like Xiaomi, like they do for Tecno, Infinix and the likes?
Doesn't seem like. They seem to run something similar to what we have here and require you to pay first since they apparently don't stock them but place the orders on demand with your cash.

yes.
I Use jumia a lot.

Just check the spec on the box before you open it.
(Seriously) don't open the nylon of phone box if the spec on the box doesn't tally with what you ordered.
it doesn't happen frequently though. But just to be safe.

Plus you can return it if you are not satisfied before 48hrs I think and ask for refund. Check the return policy of the seller before you buy.
Thanks, I'd been reading stuff by people who claim they got burned. Needed to know for sure if it's an available option assuming the price is right.

Try it again with another page. Nairaland has had issues of late. Even if I'm using EDGE on glo, I don't experience such.
I have done so with other pages. Same thing. Once it comes on, I just have to wait for it to run its course.. annoying.

That system busy icon on my Redmi 3s Prime drives me nuts! Whenever it comes on, everything else has to wait even the browser. I never experienced that with my Mi 4 until boys move am for go-slow. Then my Google keyboard takes a little time to come up whenever I want to type on the browser. Any clues? That's even why I'm looking to upgrade to the RN4X hoping that I won't meet that busy sign there too. If not for coins I for jus go back to my Mi & 8series chipsets.
