yes, they will. Dandilion: Hi guys. My status on Wes has finally changed to "in progress, we are processing a new document for your application" Before now it use to be "we are waiting for your document" My question is will Wes inform me when it has been sent to be my uni for verification? So I can know when to call my contact in school to attempt to speed up the process. |

maak400: I have university diploma and bsc, can I go on to evaluate the two or I should just evaluate the bsc only? As regards professional certification, I have certificates in desktop publishing and project management from institutions that I don’t think are recognized, do I need to evaluate them too? Yes to evaluating your University diploma and Bsc as it will give you the points for "two or more certificates". No to your second paragraph. |

oginnite: Afternoon House, I have Cambridge IELTS 13, 14, 15 and 15(2020). Would that be sufficient to use for preparing for General Training test that will take place in 2weeks time or i need more?. Thanks I think you are in the best position to know if you need more volumes or not. Practice makes perfect. But then, because of our different abilities, some people don't need as much practice as others. I'm assuming you already know you would need youtube videos for writing & speaking, especially Liz's and Jay's |

Gummygummy: Hello Everyone, just checked my ielts results and as I expected the listening component did me in. I scored LRWS 7/6/7/7.5. I was really afraid of the map questions so I practiced endlessly while still fervently praying it doesn’t appear. However it did, and it was the most complicated map I have ever seen. I couldn’t even understand the criss crosses on paper and locations mentioned in the audio and they were about six questions I think. In a way, I think it affected my mood for the rest of the exams Understanding your initial starting position relative to the cardinal points and all the labels on the map is very crucial for map reading. As soon as you get to the map section, within the 1min you have to preview the questions, find your starting position on the map. If it is paper based, draw the cardinal points (east, west, north & south arrow) at the top of the map. Then quickly read all the labels (including road names and icons) on the map so you have atleast a vague idea where what is, way before the the narrator starts talking. That helps I don't know how to explain " entering" the map, but you need to enter the map like literally, and quickly too For reading, there is nearly always a wrong answer that's not so far from the right answer and which, if the right answer weren't there, would be the next best alternative. Sometimes we fall into the trap of choosing it, especially when it appears as an earlier option like A,B,C...whereas the answer is in D. My own 2 cents. Cheers |

Refer to this post @oginnite joselekas: 1. You need to first decide which mode you want to take. I did it twice. The first attempt was Computer-Delivered (CD) in November 2019 with British Council and I had: L 7, R 6, W 7.5, and S 8. My choice of CD was the inherent advantages it has with Writing. The Writing part was a walk in the park as I didn't have to worry about corrections and insertions. |

seyi2020: Guys, please i am trying to register for IELTS, but i can't tell if MOD or BC is better. I will appreciate your genuine opinion on which i should opt for. If there is a thread with valuable information too, please share the link with me. Thank you guys. Also, if there are any online tutorial groups ongoing currently(July 2020) for ielts, please direct me on how to join. Thank you again. The exam is one and same for both BC and IDP, with same marking scheme. Legend has it though that IDP writing module graders are more liberal with marks that BC. I'm not sure how people came to that conclusion. I did however take IDP and who knows if I aced it because of the aforementioned legend. Maybe paper based vs CBT should be your worry instead as your level of comfortability with either of them could impact your exam greatly |

Prisscindy: These examples are not the same o!
Let me further break it down and when you get to Canada you will understand better. Not all western countries practise "tipping", the ones that do, the workers will work as normal and "if" you feel like giving them extra cash without any ulterior motive then that is a tip. Some companies have "tip" printed on their receipts.
Surprisingly, the workers do not compromise their cores and values, they follow strict procedures to serve their customers, no short cuts because of tips. The thing they can do is priority services which you would have to pay the "company" more. I'm actually worried for that bros, make them no go charge am with attempt to bribe or bribery gan gan for Canny, throw am inside jail, when for em mind "I just wanted to give him/her a tip" We already suffer racial injustice in the western world, and much as racial profiling isn't as prevalent in Canada as it is in the US (I cld be wrong), still on still oyibo no go waste time in pinning any pinnable sh*t on you |

Tipping and bribing are two different things. Call a spade a spade. The waiter at the restaurant or the delivery guy will do their duties regardless, so long as they are being paid by their employers. Tipping is some form of show of gratitude after service is rendered. If the pizza store doesnt work on saturdays and you pay the delivery guy to find a way of getting into the store and getting pizza delivered to you, it's bribery. I don bribe tire for this country, no be say i be saint. but make we call wetin something be as e be. Jobola1: In d West, you finish eating at a restaurant or someone delivers your groceries, you give them TIPS. And no be play play money o by the time them collect from plenty people.
But my countri peopo, we call the same thing BRIBE. It's this upside-down nomenclature that's makes us think we r d most corrupt in d world.
Not attacking you Sir, I usually also see it as a bribe n not better than u. If I don't quote u, d point won't be made. |

If you are below 35 and with band 9 IELTS plus Masters you will not only dive into the pool with 460, you will be swimming there.
Let me even give you this unsolicited advice. I don't see Federal Skilled Worker Program draws going below 480 when it resumes in August. Wow, they really resuming in August? You sound certain. |

There is a chance your verification request might be lost in Unilag's backlog pre lockdown They have been responding to verification requests since resumption of activities in May, after their initial shutdown in March. You might want to ask WES to resend the verification request to Unilag. There are no official fees for verification Vetilicious: Hello All,
My ECA with WES is stuck at verification by Unilag since March. A friend told me that he did nothing and Unilag responded to WES eventually. I just need confirmation if there is any official fees necessary for verification by Unilag or just like my friend said, i just need to wait and nothing needs to be paid. |

No extra charges. Wes will wait until they have received all the documents for the qualifications you indicate you want to evaluate before issuing you an ECA report. So go ahead. Matter of fact, I paid for evaluation in September 2019 when I wasn't even done with my program, and was only able to get my documents across to WES in march 2020. You just gonna see "Awaiting Documents" on your profile punchyy: Please I need advice, I plan on sending my B.sc and CIPM cert to WES for evaluation. Now CIPM is open for business, meaning they would be able to send my transcript to WES. On the other hand my school is not in session for transcript matters and they don't do it online. If I go ahead and pay for evaluation of these two documents, meanwhile only CIPM can send transcript to them, and whenever school is in session and I can apply for the transcript to be sent to WES, will WES still evaluate it (the B.sc)? Could there be extra payment for sending the remaining document later, what should I do pls, your contributions will be appreciated. |

Yes. There are even ielts dates for 4th, 11th, 16th, 25th and 30th of this month for MOD, including 18th for British council. Why are you calling the agents? Just go to their websites, pick an available date and book. I wrote on the 13th of last month btw and hv already gotten my result. Dante02: Hello house,
Has anybody written IELTS in Lagos recently? My friend has been calling the MOD agents they are not reachable |
