I refuse to see the reason why you left the subject at hand and turned to analyse things i said against a small girl
who first of all called me a broken record and noisy p*ussy (imagine a lil rotten girl like her, calling adults rotten pussies )(isnt that enough reason to get her banned from this forum, because i am sure she cannot call seun osewa rotten P*usy and get away with it.) because i said that pastor ADEBOYE doesnt deserve to be a legend

Ref.

THEN the same so called small girl went ahead and called me a jobless man here

Now this is a small girl i train over 10 people of her age in school coming here to call me a jobless man because we are on a public forum. I guess i am supposed to be hugging her because she is 16 years.

I know people in this forum who are 30 years, 35 and above, i never call them old people because i wish to get to their ages and pass their ages as well, rather i learn from them.
Thats what a 16 year old girl should be doing and not bad mouthing someone who could be far bigger than her parents, just because she has a laptop.

I will so much like it if you stick to the topic at hand and stop discussing sam milla here. Got that tbk?

Religion / Re: Christians Are Saved By The Dead And Resurrection Of The Saints. Not Jesus. by nacom(f): 12:40pm On May 01, 2009
huxley:

Following the death (or suicide) of God (Jesus) the bible reports that many saints who had been dead for some time arose and went into the city and were seen by many.

Matthew 27

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Why is this reported in a matter-of-factly manner?  Was it because resurrections were commonplace in 1st century Palestine?  Why are there no more detailed information about these saints and where they had been while they had been dead?

If resurrections were so common then, what makes Jesus's any special?  Are Christian also saved by the death and resurrection of the saints, after all, they resurrected before Jesus and had been in their graves for much longer, presumably?

Did these saints walk the streets of Jerusalem in corporeal form or in spirit form?

And finally, what became of these saints?  Did they go back to their graves voluntarily shortly after they awoke?  Did they live amongst their friends and relative as per normal, only to die again later?  Or did they rise into heaven?

What do you guys think was the most plausible end of this narrative?

@huxley

Quite a very dumb thread you started. And to prove how dumb it is, The thread had to wait 5 good months before someone could notice it.

Webmasters / Obama Launches Web Site To Reach Public by nacom(f): 9:20pm On Nov 10, 2008
Barack Obama had a formidable online presence during his quest for the White House, and he is once again turning to the Internet to communicate with the American public as president-elect.

President-elect Barack Obama has launched a Web site to chronicle his transition.

Within 24 hours of last week's historic vote, his transition team rolled out change.gov, a Web site that promises to be "your source for the latest news, events and announcements so that you can follow the setting up of the Obama administration."

The site is still a little thin on content, but there's a blog, a newsroom and a countdown to the January 20 inauguration.

Visitors can fill out a form to share their stories about what the election meant to them, or they can give their vision of an Obama presidency. They can even apply for a job.

Webmasters / Re: Demo Review, Anyone? by nacom(f): 6:01am On Jul 01, 2008
Afam:

I really don't believe in doing free demos and I hope developers would insist on that so that clients would not be taking advantage of web developers as it will not take much from a client to ask for 20 demos from different people and of course pick all the positives from all of them and still give the project to one person.

The demo that I am asking for review was requested by a web designer and I charged for it as he insisted his client wanted a lot of things that would require programming.

Couldn't access the current website that needed a design the whole of Saturday when I setup the mock pages and as such couldn't have taken anything from the website.

The website is supposed to be a courier company website that should be as useful as possible.

I came up with a number of tasks that an average user who wants to ship anything would want to be able to complete on the website as fast as possible.

The forms are not functional and no single database work was done considering the fact it was a demo, emphasis is on logical navigation and clarity of tasks.

Could anyone comment or suggest on ways to better the design or layout of the website?

www.jwspreview.com/courier

Remember, it is the user that determines the success or otherwise of a website depending on how useful the website is in resolving problems or in providing relevant information.

Uncle Afam do the comments or suggestions matter anyway After all you will end barking as usual just as you did here to Tech Pros

Tech Pros:

Webmasters / Re: The Facts About Us by nacom(f): 12:29am On Jun 29, 2008
Afam:

The events of the last few days on this forum have once again confirmed the obvious about the web designers and web developers that make use of this forum. I have been tempted to ignore posts but I guess doing so before now would have given some of us the wrong belief that we are on top of what we are doing.

The following are facts

1. The quality of websites being developed for businesses in Nigeria remains poor, generally speaking.

2. Majority of us are experts at criticizing others, insulting others or abusing them

3. Quite a number of us who are supposed to be experts based on our claims have portfolios littered with other peoples' works

4. Those without portfolios are either bankers or claim they prefer to hide their websites for what ever reasons

5. Those of us that are programmers are still looking for good web designers to outsource projects to but I guess it may take eternity to see them as those that brag about their skills when called to task are no where to be found, they simply disappear or they come up with excuses why they have websites that are poorly setup.

I believe we all fit into one or more of the categories above.

Here is wishing you all good luck as you face the real challenges of web development as the bulk of the challenges are not on discussion forums but with the numerous clients and businesses that demand better websites.

If we can put in the amount of energies we expend on this forum attacking one another into building websites and web applications the sky would be the limit for a lot of you here.

And regardless of the name calling I believe there are people here who can make this change happen if only they can remain focused and do away with unnecessary rivalry and "my dad's car is bigger than yours" attitude.

Ladies and gentlemen, these past few days were indeed revealing and interesting.

Good luck once again and remain blessed (including the insulters and abusers)

NB: Considering the fact that many of us have been exposed what what we really are it makes no sense to continue to respond to insults from people, rather I will focus on real web development issues as there is nothing more to prove.

Webmasters / Beyond Static Websites ! So Whats The Big Deal ? by nacom(f): 10:48pm On Jun 28, 2008
I noticed all this noise about functionality that Afam decide to raise and was wondering if at all he knows his onions at all when it comes to the clamour for so called functionality or task driven websites as against simple ordinary static websites.

Quoting from the content on his website " It is no longer news that many websites in Nigeria are not really functional in terms of tasks users can complete online. A functional website should allow visitors complete as many tasks as possible in the shortest period of time. This is where we come in - functional, useful and fast loading websites for those that demand more from their websites. "

Now lets face it.I personaly do not have anything about his choice of words however were i find rather baffling a quite ignorant of him is the text colored in green which quite explains the reason be thinks in such a narrow path.

So my question is this, Is there a crime if as a client i want a simple static website where my visitors can just access information about my company and not bother about performing any so called task as you usually make noise about !

There is no big deal about having a dynamic website, especially if its the type of rubbish you usually post for testing here.
Over here at my school, i just had to take a course this semester that deals with Usability Studies as regards to Web Interfaces and if you care to know you are absolutely on the wrong track considering the high level of rubbish you churn out requesting for reviews.

My point is simple and clear, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a static website angry
